Claire: *casts a quick glance at Harry, then sighs again* Fine, you win... *takes the gas mask off, and sets it on the table nearest them*

Walter: Nice to meet you in PERSON, Claire! ^^

Harry: ...

Mia: ^^

Claire: *smiles and laughs a bit*

Mia: *yawns* whoo... quite a day, ah? I think you should be getting some rest, Sergeant. <:P

Walter: I think we should ALL get some rest. ;D

Harry: ...

Mia: I like this plan. c:

Claire: Sleep it is, then.

Mia: Yay. c: *curls up on the floor*

Walter: *lies down with Mia, snuggling with her*

Harry: *tries to sleep*

Mia: *snuggles with Walter, falling asleep quickly*

Claire: *smiles to herself, finding it amusing that they had somehow managed to pair off in the middle of an apocalypse. shesits down against a wall, and also tries to sleep*

Walter: *also falls asleep quickly*

Harry: *can't sleep* ...

Claire: *dozes off somewhat quickly--it had been a long day*

Mia: *sleeps*

Key: *sleeps*

The Next Morning

Harry: *asleep and exhausted*

Walter: *asleep*

Claire: *asleep*

Mia: *asleep*

Key: *waking up* ....?

Harry: *asleep*

Walter: *waking up. He yawns*

Key: *gives Walter a tinny wave*

Claire: *asleep*

Mia: *snuggles against Walter*

Walter: *he gives Key a tiny wave back, then nuzzles Mia*

Harry: *asleep*

Mia: *nuzzles him back* <3

Key: *smiles a bit, then leans back against Harry's shoulder*

Claire: *asleep*

Walter: Let's just give her a chance before we go making assumptions. :/

Mia: Yeah, really, we don't even know her! I think she's trustworthy. :/

Key: Then why hasn't she taken her gas mask off?

Harry: ... We should kill her before she kills us.

Walter: Oh, he's delirious. Okay. :/

Key: ! *looks at Harry* Okay, that's a bit extreme. D:

Mia: A BIT?? D:/

Walter: Well he's sick! He's not being logical because of all this stress he had to deal with today after and while still being EXTREMELY ill!

Harry: ... I'm being serious...

Key: ...Well, how about this--you go to sleep, I'll stay up and make sure nothing happens, okay?

Mia: Key, you haven't slept for an entire DAY...

Walter: YOU TWO go to sleep. WE'LL stay up. :/

Harry: ...

Mia: *points at Walter* Yeah, what he said. :I

Key: *is about to protest, until she spots Claire returning out of the corner of her eye* ...fine... *snuggles into Harry*

Harry: *snuggles back* ...

Walter: Find anything? :)

Claire: There were a few cans of food back there along with boxes of ammunition, if anyone needs to restock.

Mia: Awesome. C:

Key: *tries to sleep*

Walter: Well, my gun needs more ammo anyway. :P

Harry: *tries to sleep*

Claire: *with a hint of amusement* Of course it does.

Key: *is exhausted--she falls asleep fast*

Walter: *uses his sleeve to clean his katana* Lots and lots of ammo. :P

Harry: *cannot sleep*

Key: *is asleep, snuggled against Harry*

Claire: Heh. *glances over at Key and Harry, and notices them trying to sleep* <_<

Harry: *glances over at Claire* ... *he then coughs roughly into his arm*

Walter: ... *Quietly to Claire* He's not infected.

Claire: ... One can never be too sure...

Mia: he got sick DAYS ago, if he was going to turn, he already would have...

Key: *sleeps*

Walter: ... And he doesn't look the least bit like he'll turn into a special! D:

Harry: ...

Claire: Alright, alright, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt... *sighs*

Mia: THANK you...

Key: *asleep*

Walter: Just don't walk in front of our guns or my sword, and you'll be fine. ;D

Harry: ... *snorts*

Soldier: Obviously...

Key: So um... do you know where the safehouse is? D;

Soldier: *nods* Mhmm. It's around the corner, a block or two down. We were almost there until we were attacked. :/

Mia: To the safehouse we go, then. Before something else shows up. .___.

*They all walk together to the safe house, Harry still stumbling like a drunkard*

Soldier: *makes sure to stay away from him* ...

Key: *puts an arm around him to keep him steady* <:(

Mia: <:/ *unbars the door, and lets everyone in*

Everyone: *gets in*

Harry: *sits down against a wall as soon as he can*

Walter: So... Ah. Hello, new group member. <:D

Soldier: Hello. :/

Key: *sits down near Harry* ...

Mia: *bars the door* Sooo... do you have a name?

Soldier: Staff Sergeant Orello.

Mia: ...Okay, do you have a NAME...?

Soldier: ...Claire.

Walter: It's a pleasure to know someone from the military who knows how to handle all sorts of weapons, Claire. My name's Walter. ^^

Harry: ... *leans on Key. He doesn't like new people*

Claire: *nods to him*

Key: *puts an arm around him* ...

Mia: Name's Mia. :) The quiet ones over there are Key and Harry.

Claire: Pleasure to meet you all. We haven't seen very many survivors get this far.

Walter: Hah. It's because we're special. :D

Harry: *Quietly to Claire* ... Are you from the Safe Zone?

Claire: I am.

Mia: So it's not that far from here? O_O

Claire: Not exactly... we've been out here for days. I know how to get back, but on foot, it's still going to take us a while...

Walter: I KNEW it was still held up and populated! :D

Harry: Mh... *he leans against Key again*

Claire: Of course--it's perfectly safe. They call it the "Safe Zone" for a reason, you know. Not even those giant gorilla-infected can get in.

Mia: Phew... that's a relief...

Key: *nuzzles Harry*

Walter: It'll be quite satisfying to finally step into it... Safety. For the first time in WEEKS.

Harry: ... *Nuzzles Key*

Claire: Mhmm... there's a completely different atmosphere in there. You don't have to worry.

Mia: Sounds like a freakin PARADISE compared to out here. :/

Key: *kisses his cheek*

Walter: I can't wait. :D

Harry: *kisses Key back*

Claire: Well, as long as we don't have too many detours, it shouldn't be too long now. *glances around* I'm going to see what's in here. *goes farther into the safehouse*

Mia: *waits until she's out of earshot* ...She seems nice. :o

Key: *nuzzles into Harry's shoulder*

Harry: ... I don't like her.

Walter: ... Why not? :/

Harry: She seems dangerous.

Mia: Well, she's a SOLDIER, of course she'd be dangerous. It's kind of her JOB. I'm glad to have her on our side. :/

Key: She kept looking at Harry... I don't think she believes he isn't infected...

Harry: *walks with the others just fine other than the labored breathing and occasional stumbling*

Walter: *doesn't like this*

Key: *immediately tries to catch him when he stumbles. she stays close to him for this reason, completely willing to let him lean on her*

Mia: *glances around for a safehouse, hoping to find one soon*

Harry: *refuses to lean on Key* >:/

Walter: *is concerned*

*a guttural roar is heard in the distance*

Walter: ... I hope that's not too close.

Mia: D8 ... how about we HURRY?

Key: That's a good plan. D8

*gunshots and startled yelling is heard in the distance, along with cries of pain*

Walter: ... Can you run, Harry? D8

Harry: I can try.

*the rumbling and bellowing gets louder as the sound of gunshots starts to fade--whoever was in the distance wasn't going to last for much longer*

Key: *stops walking, not really wanting to go any closer* D8

Walter: ... Come on. We can take it. >:J

Harry: You're nuts.

Walter: MAYBE I am. ;D

Mia: Uh. I have to stick with Harry on this one. D8

Key: WHY ARE WE NOT RUNNING YET?? D8>

*soon, the gunfire dies down--but the Tank was still charging around*

A soldier: *runs onto the street from around a corner, nearly tripping over their feet, the tank hot on their heels* !!!!!!!!!!

Harry: ... frack. *he shoots at the tank, though this is not as effective when the tank is farther away and Harry's using a shotgun*

Walter: *is also obviously more close-range in attack and must wait for the Tank to actually get near them* OY! SOLDIER PERSON! STEER THE TANK OVER HERE!

Soldier: ! *hears him, and does as he says, running towards him, trying to shoot the tank over their shoulder*

Mia: *shoots at the tank* D:<

Key: *also shoots* D8

Harry: *also shoots*

Walter: *carefully runs in and stabs at the tank*

Tank: *is distracted by Walter, and tries to punch him*

Soldier: *helps the others shoot the infected*

Walter: *ducks and rolls out of the way*

Everyone: *SHOOTS AT THE TANK*

Tank: *was already injured from dealing with the other group, and dies quickly*

Key: Guh... glad that's over with... D8

Soldier: *grabs the radio off their belt, and groans in frustration when they see it is broken, useless. tossing it aside, she turns to the others, face hidden by a gas mask* Are any of you carriers?

Mia: Uh... no? I mean... *thumbs over at Key* She's immune, and none of us have gotten sick, so...

Walter: Right, except for 'Arry, there -- *points a thumb at Harry* But as it turns out, 'e doesn't have the Green Flu. So we're all good and dandy. :)

Harry: ...

Soldier: *glances at Harry, still a bit wary of him* ...Alright. I'm guessing you're headed to the Safe Zone?

Mia: You are correct. :)

Soldier: *nods* I hope you won't mind another gun, then. that giant WD flattened my entire squadron...

Key: D:> ...

Harry: *quietly* 'Morning...

Walter: Oy, it speaks! :D

Key: :D!

Mia: *grins* Yay, progress~

Harry: *he shakily stands up*

Walter: Woah - Woah, woah, wait, Harry! Be careful! D8

Key: !! *quickly stands up with him, and helps steady him*

Mia: Easy, tiger. D:

Harry: *he holds onto Key for support but manages to stand without falling down. It feels good to him*

Walter: H'okay, good to know we don't have to move you, ourselves. ^^;

Key: Heh...

Mia: Sweet. Depending on how you're feeling, we could probably get going tomorrow! ^^

Harry: ... No. Today.

Walter: ... Um... Today? D:

Mia: TODAY? D:/

KEu: Harry, I really don't think that's a good idea... D;

Harry: We've been cooped up in here for too long because of me. I can walk. I can shoot. Let's go.

Walter: :/

Key: You mean right NOW...? D;

Mia: <:/

Harry: Well, we need to get ready first.

Walter: ... 'Arry. Take an antibiotic first, at least. D:>

Key: *picks up the pill bottle, and holds one out to Harry* Please? <:(

Mia: <:/ *goes to grab all her stuff*

Harry: ... Okay. *he takes one, swallowing it*

Walter: You really think this is a good idea? You were choking on your own SPIT not too long ago. D:

Harry: I'm FINE.

Key: No you're NOT... D;

Mia: >___>;

Harry: I don't NEED to be in perfect health to get to the next safe house -- we've been spending too much time HERE! We've been LUCKY that we haven't seen any other survivors try and get in here.

Walter: <:/

Key: ...Then... then we go NOW, while there aren't that many infected around. D:>

Mia: *glances out between the bars, and nods*

*everyone gets ready, then leaves the safe house*

Walter: I wonder how close we are to the Safe Zone. Which state are we in? Still Pennsylvania?

Harry: No idea.

Mia: Keep your eyes peeled for signs, I guess...

Key: *is still worried about Harry* ...

Walter: *soon falls asleep with Mia*

Harry: *wishes they could just leave this safe house*

Mia: *is asleep*

Key: *wonders how much longer it will take Harry to recover...*

Harry: *he closes his eyes and tries to sleep*

Key: *rests her head against Harry's shoulder, trying to keep her mind occupied* ....

Harry: *still trying to sleep, wondering what the next day will bring*

Key: *awake, wondering just how far away the safe zone is...*

Harry: *eventually falls asleep*

THE NEXT MORNING

Key: *is nodding off a bit, but is still awake* ...

Mia: *sound asleep*

Walter: *waking up*

Key: *drowsily notices this* ...! *gives him a small wave*

Walter: *waves back, smiling at her*

Harry: *asleep*

Key: *smiles sleepily*

Mia: *wakes up from Walter's movement* ...?

Walter: *he kisses Mia's cheek*

Mia: *smiles sleepily, and kisses back* mornin'...

Mia: X) *rests her head back on his shoulder* Mnnn five more minutes.

Walter: Hah, sleep as much as you want, Love. We're not going anywhere. X3

Key: !! *is reluctant to move, but she gets up to let the others in*

Walter: We've got warm clothes for us. :)

Harry: *shivers*

Key: Okay, good we needed those. D8

Mia: Heeere ya go. *hands her the hoodie and some stuff for Harry*

Harry: *desperately puts on whatever he can*

Walter: Yaaay. :D

Mia: ^^

Key: *replaces her hoodie, then sits down next to Harry again*

Harry: *isn't shivering as badly*

Walter: *puts on a coat over his coat*

Mia: *also puts another jacket on over her sweater* =^^=

Key: *notices Harry shivering less, and smiles a bit* You two have perfect timing.

Mia: We try~ ^^

Harry: *is a lot more comfortable now that he's warmer*

Walter: Feels nice and toasty, right? ^^

Key: *nods* c:

Mia: It feels lovely~ :3

Walter: Maybe sleeping's a good idea?

Harry: *nods*

Mia: Yyyyyyyup! *plops down on the ground with a sigh*

Key: You guys go ahead. <:P

Walter: Will do! *he curls up next to Mia*

Key: *scoots up to Harry, planning on staying up like the night before*

Harry: *his coughing goes on for a few minutes before painfully dying in his throat* Hhgh...

Key: *puts an arm around him and rubs his shoulder* <:( ...

Mia: Hrmph... we weren't even making noise...

Walter: ... Maybe it saw some lights...

Harry: *nuzzles Key gratefully*

Key: *nuzzles him back* <:)

Mia: ...Note to self, shut off lights.

Walter: Righto. And perhaps 'Arry should take another antibiotic.

Harry: ...

Key: ! Right--*goes to retrieve the pill bottle again, and takes out another pill*

Mia: <:/

Harry: *groans a little*

Key: Hey, come on, these are making you feel better... *hands him the pill*

Mia: ...

Harry: *takes it*

Walter: Well, who knows. Maybe he wasn't groaning about the pill.

Key: Well if something's bothering him, he should be telling us so we can fix it... <:(

Walter: I don't exactly think he can speak as he is. <:/

Harry: *coughs*

Key: He could... motion! Or.. something. Hand signals. D;

Mia: Just let the poor man rest, Key... <:/

Walter: Well, now that Key's away, how about we try and find some clothes?

Harry: *coughs some more*
