How much more can I take
Scars and cuts
Breaks and bruises

It feels like I've been bitten by a snake
Slithering and crawling
Poison and fangs

You can't imagine the pain
Stings and throbbing
Pounding and poking

As I stand in the rain
Drizziling and dropping
Pouring and dripping

I will wait for you
Standing and waiting
Watching and wondering

But only if you knew
Around and loving
Holding and caring
