oh, thats alright :) and i've been good, i'm on my summer school holidays now. So yes, no school, but plenty of computering/drawing/gaming/tv/ etc :D And i went to the movie and saw Avater in 3D (like, actual pop out of the screen 3D). woah, it was fantastic.

yes! i saw that contest on DA. it has to be done by mid May tho right? yeh, i don't know if i can have it done by then, considering all the work i have to do. but i saw it after i had already started the pic, and thought it might just fit the terms =) maybe, MAYBE i can get it done on time =D
and yeh, the background will be really tough, but hopefully i can pull it of somehow lol
anyways, i might just go and do some more work on that picture =) talk to ya soon

oh really? i'd never knew that was the name of a fear of cats. but i suppose thats fair enough, especially if you had a bad experience with them. i just love cats to much to be scared of em =D and yeh, one day you should try to face your fear! lol just meet some really friendly cats and mabye giv them a quick scratch =)

yeh, i kinda have to get back to my normal routine now, considering school starts back up tomorow =( well, i havn't had much sleep anyways, rusty's stiches were taken out, but these still a huge hole thats all open and pink =/ i have to make sure she doesn't scratch it with the funnel around her head.

oh yes, the kenshin pic! lol, i started it ages ago, but i kinda stopped working on it. then not long ago, i looked at it, and didn't really like it. i've learnt a lot of new ways to colour and lineart pics now, so i've redone it and starting again. well what i'm doing is having both the evil and good sides of him in one pic. but not just the face, the whole body. the good kenshin will be on the right, with a blue sky/cherry blossoms etc. on the left will be manslayer kenshin, with a night sky, mabye some burning houses etc. not very far into it, i've almost finished colouring manslayer kenshin. but i'm happy, coz it looks heaps better than the older version i drew! =D hopefully i can do some more work on it soon

anyways, i'm off to do some last minute homework lol, cya!

i'm also working on a few pics at the moment, hopefully i can get some of them done befor school again
my cat was injured not long ago, so i have to stay in her room (yes lol, she has her own room! just a spare one we keep her in at night) with her all day, and all night to make sure she doesn't pull out her stiches in her tummy. it was quite serious. she somehow manages to tear a huge hole in her stomach, we think she may have done it on a tree brach, seeing as their pretty sharp. she doesn't wander far, only stays in our backyard. so since i'm not in my own room, and the room i'm in is kinda isolated from the rest of the bedrooms, i've been staying up real late -_-' hmm, most nights 3am lol but you'd never know, its the absolute best time for drawing! so quiet!
anyways, i'll go and stop rambling lol

there are a lot of GIMP tutorials out there, even if the picture is not wot u want to draw, you can use the techniques they used to draw it. i learnt a lot, like how to smudge, use gradients, and do a background. im sure if you search, you'll find some great stuff to learn from :D

thats great, its good that your doing a colour pic, just make sure to tell me when its up ^^ i havn't really had that much time to draw, but i only have 2 weeks left of school then its the holidays. the workload is starting to slow down a bit now, we exams, so all our work is mostly revision.

kool! yeh, you can do fighting :D you might want to even chuck in a few smart remarks or sumthin, just an idea. just remember to keep the characters in character! like, if you hav this real sweet, kind character, he/she probably wouldn't engage in a fight after first meeting them lol so if their fighting, the characters should probably be the type do do that. if that makes sense.

but wait, i just reread ure post on my profile, i think i misunderstood it. if you mean that two characters are co-operating to defeat an enemy, that thats fine :D like for example, you could have two good guys, and two bad guys, from two different animes, fighting. for example, you could have goku and inuyasha fighting cell and naraku. just an idea so you know what i'm talking about

yeh i know, fast internet connection is the best, seriously, i've been watching videos non stop of youtube, coz they load straight away! befor, i had to wait 2 hours to load 10 mins! seriously tho, the way i'm going, i'm gonna run out of broadband in the next few days. were on a plan where we only get 3GB of fast connection speed a month, and after we go over the limit it slows down again :(

Hey sure thing, but I now I have some doubts bout it. I've been heving some problems with school recently and just to make things worse-MY SCANNERS BUSTED! But I'll try to see what I can do.
And yeah no kidding, I had that prob too and it's so frustrating that I gave up visiting youtube. But a faster connection seriously gets you going. It's too bad they slow your connection speed down. It sometimes happen when you transfer too much data like watching videos or chatting on the webcam non stop. So maybe you shouldn't push it that much lol.

Not much new with me mate. In case you haven't already taken a look I help make a sitcom on youtube called Pillowman. It's very British. You've just gotta type Pillowman into the youtube search bar and look for episodes done by 'NeovenatorStudios'. The new thing with that is is that we've just put a new episode on there.

Other than that, no I haven't really got anything new or exciting...

oh yah, with my pictures, i usually use a grid if i copy somthing. i print the picture out, and draw a grid on it with approx 1cm boxes. i then divide my page into the same amount of squares ( i use a calculator lol cant do it in my head :P) after i have drawn the picture using the grid as a guide, i get a fresh piece of paper, put it up against the window with my sketch, and trace it on to it. this gets rid of the grid lines, and the picture comes out much cleaner, with out eraser marks and stuff. its a lot of work!

i kinda watch it, ive all of season 3 and 4, and sum of 1 or 2 i think. there was a marathon of it on a little while ago, and i sat down and watched it
hmm, well for my gohan picture, i used a few different shades of pencils. i have a little set of about 10, which contains really light shades like 2H, and the reall dark ones like 8B. When i outlined the dark pants, i used the 8B pencil, as it is almost black. for lighter the cape, i used a lighter pencil. can't remember exactly, but it might hav just been a normal HB. with the cape, it has 2 or 3 shades to it. for the almost-white shades, i used the lightest pencil, as even if i pressed quite hard, it came out real light. because it was cell-shaded like the anime, it wasn't to hard, as its just solid blocks of colour. hmmm, not sure wat elso to rite, feel free to ask me anything tho :D

That's good to know. I'm not doing to bad. I was sick for like... a month but all that's history now. My favourite teacher just resigned so things aren't as they were before. Anyways... it's good to be back here again.

I remember when my favourite teacher left, which was Christmas last year. Tough Break, I was quite upset about it, but when I went back there to start the new term I thought it would have been for the best (as in I couldn't imagine him being there any more, after all it is a crap school! lol)
