Let's see.. tips, tips.. well, when you're writing a story, the beginning has to be intriguing or else the person may not want to read it. If you pull them in at the start, they'll probably read on and on. You should also end some chapters with suspense, so the person is shaking to find out what happens next. Punctuation is key, even though I suck at it myself. XD Top 9 tips of a story writing process are:
-Write a Catchy First Paragraph. [To pull the reader in]

-Develop Your Characters [make them exciting and different in their own ways]

-Choose a Point of View [if you'd like to, so people can see the perspective from one of their favorite characters]

-Write Meaningful Dialogue [don't make it boring]

-Use Setting and Context [if the characters are in a certain place, describe it as much as you can, Ie: 'The forest was beautiful, it was like someone could have stepped into a whole different world. The trees were all bright green and bluebells surrounded each one... [etc]]

-Set up the Plot [before starting a story, it's always a good thing to know what you want to do first]

-Create Conflict and Tension [make a problem, small or big, and make the characters struggle to figure out what to do]

-Build to a Crisis or a Climax [the most exciting part of the story or the most sorrowful part]

-Find a Resolution [once the ending is ready, make it descriptive. Like, for example, if one of their friends died, you can't just have them go on with their lives, you could have a moment where they were all terribly sad, then one breaks the sadness to say '[she'll]he'll still be in our hearts forever.' And etc. [of course that was kind of cheesy. XD]

Oh well. It works for us, might not work for other people. I enjoy battle scenes because I do a lot of martial arts in real life, so I have theories to go on to make them somewhat realistic, then I adapt them to the Naruto world.

Sounds cool KDS. I'm just about to hit chapter 60 on my latest fic. Seems our fics are aimed at different audiences, based on content. It's interest that we're probably the only two who's fics take place in the Naruto world, with actual jutsus.

I would call that mild. I don't think that would stop anyone from reading, I'm only putting it down as a precaution. Best to avoid trouble. I'll mark it as 'very mild' or something like that. I came down hard on my fic and gave it a higher content rating, just to be on the safe side.

If you go into major detail, or is graphic (pretty much anything tongue) then yes. But if it's just a kiss, or a kiss on the cheek, then no.

I just added the second blog, and it goes into a little more detail. If you have a sec to check it out, and make sure it's cool with you, that would be great. I need some info, anyway. A link to the fic(s) (Max of 2), and the content ratings. This way, I can have everyone's links on my blog, so there's an easy way to get to the info.

Afraid so. I just got out of my college english class, and plaguerism would still be the word, even if I changed the words around. Basically, I'd have to put quotes around every borrowed sentence, then credit the author, and include the page/volume number. It would be something like this:

It would take forever to find all the references, especially since I'd have to go through the actual Shohen Jump releases -_-'
