ok, well when you open up a picture in gimp, the picture comes up in a seperate window to the brushes/erasers etc. in that window, click file>dialoges and click the one you want. it will open up in another window. so lets pretend you opened up a layers dialouge. then, on the right, is a little black arrow. click on it, and click ad tab. then, you can add more tabs to it such as paint brushes, undo, paths, etc. it is better to do it this way, because you will have all your dialouges in one window, rather than in seperate windows which can be annoying. hope i helped :D
yoo can search the web for handy gimp tutorials, once you get the hang of gimp its great :D
and kool, i'm going over the lineart now :D don't think i will get it done today, i hav a heap of homework to do as well, but i will do a bit at a time and tell you when its done :D i'm sorry if the lineart doesn't look exactly the same. what i mean it, some of the lines won't go from thick to thin like you drew it. it won't be to noticable, i'll do my best ^^

also, do you mind if i draw over the line art on gimp? the only reason is to colour an image, i need the image on a transparent layer. i converted an image to transparant befor, i'm just too stupid to remeber how i did it :/ so if its ok i'll trace it onto a transparant layer. and i'll make sure to keep ur signature at the bottom. it may take a little longer tho, coz going over lineart takes time.

what colour fur and eyes do you think it should be?

hmm, well i could give it try for u. ive been trying a few tutorials on hair colouring and that, and they use the smudge tool to get a natural look.
