Your flash MX skills are really good and your colour work its excellent as is your copying an image so its perfect. Coping other images has limitations though and it can hold you back in the long run. Plus you can become dependent on it, which you seem to have.

If you ever want to improve as an artist you must develop and draw your own things, even if they are fan art, and stop making copies of other images. Because when the day comes when your sitting in art class or collage and they say what can you do? Then you say I can draw this images as a perfect copies they will not be impressed. They won’t see it as skilled or wonderful they’ll see that your limited and that you aren’t willing to improve.

This is not intended to offend it is intended to help you. You have so much skill and I just feel it’s been wasted on making copies of other images, when it could be used to make very beautiful imagery along with beautiful fan art and original images which could be really eye pleasing.

i agree with brianhjh even though i don't like him..at all..i blame canada for his actions although not ALL canadians r assholes..jes the majority.. tracing comes 2nd to postin official art.. but once again. this jes isn't the case brian. the mods want u to lay off the shoot n' they'll take care of it. i happened to come across a picture the other day that ressembled urs COMPLETELY! the one i mean is the big stained glass bird u did with colored pencils so the question i have for U is. who's stealin? them...or u?

You didn't create the pose, the artist did.

You didn't create the character design, the artist did.

You didn't create the color theme, the artist did.

You didn't create the scheme of gradients and shadows, the artist did.


Soon, there will be a restrictions on what people can submit to FAC, tracing IS a good exercize, but it shouldn't be posted, why? because art in people gallery is used to judge their apparent art skill.
