Why is it that people judge someone simply based on one aspect of their life... Without taking the time to get to know them as a person? It really hurts to be generalized... I'm not just a bisexual. This was my first NANOWRIMO - an attempt to write novel draft in a month. It is rough in many ways, and I'm not sure I knew where I was going, but I still remember it fondly and would like to overhaul it someday. The idea began in my mind with images of a smoke-colored cat in rust-red autumn leaves, a snow white cat curled around a heart of shining cut glass in a palace tower, and the empty-eyed queen to whom the heart belonged...

While it is technically an unfinished story start, I decided that it was something I liked and so have kept it.
I read it as an open-ended short story although it was not the original intention.
It was something I found on my memory stick from a few months ago, making it a hell of alot more recent than any of my other work. The name was something I thought up just to put it up on here when the thought crossed my mind, it's loosely based on the piece.

But this girl is a more self aware Valkyrie, a creatures created by the Lord of the Dead to harvest the souls of the mortals in Purgatory, as they die, and bring them to the Death Realm. There they will be split to go to Heaven and some to Hell, where different processes will take place. This Valkyries will not be able to see with the normal human eye, as they mostly work on a Spirit level, and therefore only can see the soul of the a human body, the only manifestation they leave in their wake are sounds of sounds or bumping noises, for things done in the Spirit World can also affect what happens in the real world. This explains also the usual hassle around hauntings, a soul of a mortal trying to hide or escape the Valkyries.
