Cool, thanks.
I'll take a read through either tonight or tomorrow. Math has most of my attention atm.
Ah, Serving! lol, I figured you and Andr28a would have kittens over me pulling that. I haven't done a cliffhanger in so long. It used to be my signature XD
So, what's up tonight? And yay- more RQ fic!

That's true. I had one of those, but it stopped working. That was about half a year ago. I guess it's time to get a new one. Sigh.
Anyway. How's the math coming?
(btw the drabbles are really short. One is less than 330 words, and the other is less than 1000.) Just in case you were worried about getting overly distracted.

Hey, sure. It might take a while. But I think I can do an Amy/Data relatively quickly.
Hey, hey, no beating yourself up! It's no biggie.
Another question- is this too close to your scenario for Amy/O'Brien, when they get stuck on that planet? I've got Dax giving Holmes piloting lessons when the wormhole is assaulted through subspace. They investigate, and- well, I'll let you read it for yourself. I haven't added any detail yet. I focused on their conversation.
Even as he was saying this, Holmes had executed a perfect launch sequence. That was an interesting point, Dax though. As long as he was distracted, Holmes did fine. It was usually the opposite for most people. Being a scientist, Dax had to test her theory.
“Run any good programs lately?” she asked innocently, making some notes on her data padd.
Holmes shrugged, making the jump to full impulse seamlessly, his hands dancing over the controls.
“Nothing most people find interesting. Mostly I extrapolate data from interesting holonovels or textbooks and turn it into a training program. You know, like historical battles. Then I try to either match favorable results to map strategies, or in the case of bad results, to figure out where things went wrong.”
Dax smiled a bit. The kid was too serious.
“Don’t you ever run some…you know. ‘Adult’ programs? ‘Orion Slave Girl Harem’ or anything like that? Kurzon loved those…”
Holmes raised an eyebrow, moving the shuttle to warp two, setting a course away from Bajor.
“I’ve thought about it. For practice, you understand,” he interrupted himself, smirking a bit.
Dax nodded indulgently. She’d been a man herself once; she knew how it went.
“Is there any merit to that, do you think?” Dan asked idly, piloting without a second thought. “I mean, maybe I would learn to talk to girls that way?”
“Mmm. Pretty distracting when they’re in bikinis or less, each begging you to buy their freedom so they can serve you…A different program, maybe. Or…”
Dax leaned in close, as if whispering a jealously guarded secret.
“Or you could just ask a girl to a holosuite.”
Holmes turned an interesting shade of pink, momentarily forgetting what he was doing. This was it! He was going to ask Dax out! Right now.
Dax pointed at the view screen and shouted “Asteroid!”
Stifling a curse, Holmes navigated them away quickly, using a pretty nice bit of trick piloting to dodge the asteroid and get out of the cluster he had wandered in to.
Too much distraction isn’t good. I’ll have to be more careful, Dax noted, muttering reassuring words to Holmes, accepting partial blame for the situation But who knew? He’s actually a natural at this once you settle him down.

Back on Deep Space Nine, Commander Sisko was studying the latest reports from Starfleet Command in his office. On a slow day, Deep Space Nine ran itself. Outside of him needing to authorize funds and personnel, and occasionally direct them personally, Sisko could make a lot of plans. Mostly, he focused on Bajor. Both as their Emissary to the Prophets and as part of his duty as a Starfleet Commander, he wanted to see the planet join the Federation. Bajor didn’t have a lot to offer at the moment, but given their rich history and their resilience, he had high hopes for them. And the Federation could do much to aid their rebirth.
At the epicenter of his hope for Bajor was the wormhole. It was already bringing new races to Bajor, along with much needed commerce. With the Federation’s presence above it, the planet was safe from most other alien races that might prove hostile.
The red alert klaxon interrupted this line of peaceful thought. Sisko rose to his feet and strode purposefully out of his office.
“Report!” he called from the top of the small staircase that raised his office above the rest of Ops.
“Sir, something is damaging the wormhole! Some sort of subspace fluctuation!” Kira called, tapping furiously at her console. Being the Bajoran Liaison to the Federation, she had the unique standpoint of being part of both organizations. That changed her view on some things, but not on her home’s prosperity. If the wormhole fell…
“Contact Dax and Holmes. Have them head to the wormhole and begin an investigation.”
--
En route to the wormhole, Dax kept Dan talking. His piloting was great, and she was even getting a good conversation out of the elusive ensign. It seemed like he just needed an excuse to talk to her.
Ever since that incident, when we put the Trill in Holmes to say it…I wonder just how much of what he said as ‘Dan D’Gar’ was ‘Dan’? It’s not like him to blatantly hit on a girl like that…but at the same time, at that point the had the Trill more or less in sync with him…
“Approaching the wormhole,” Holmes called out. “Slowing to ¼ impulse power.”
Dax tapped at her console. “Adjusting course trajectory.”
Holmes glanced at the sensors, noting when the craft was in position. “Full stop…now.”
Dan sat back in his chair, exhaling heavily. It was only now that Dax noticed the sweat on his brow. She had to stifle a laugh at his expense. Instead, she chose to pat him reassuringly on the shoulder.
“You did well, Daniel. You can do this.”
Holmes gave a tired nod and smile. “Thanks. I really couldn’t have done it without you. In fact, I’d like to-”
Whatever it was he would have liked to do was put on hold as their runabout was rocked.
“No damage to hull. Looks like it was a warning shot…” Holmes noted. “Recommend we raise shields.”
Dax absently nodded, engrossed in the scientific readings. Her brows knitted together as she glared at the equipment.
“A subspace fracture…there’s a strong gravitational pull. That’s what’s ‘attacking’ the wormhole.”
Holmes looked over the data, transmitting a subspace message to Deep Space Nine with the data they’d collected so far.
“So we should seal the fracture…”
“Eventually. We should scan it, first. If this is an attack with malice by someone across space and time, we need to know the origin to stop it from happening again.”
Checking the data one more time, Dax decided to use a magneton scan. It was the most thorough scan available to them.
“Speaking tactically, we should keep the station apprised of our results. In case whatever it is turns out to be hostile,” Holmes intoned. Dax agreed, and Holmes continuously streamed their data to Deep Space Nine.
A sharp series of chirps alerted Dax and Holmes to the fact that something was wrong.
“The gravitational pull is getting stronger. The scan must have disrupted whatever is causing this somehow! We’ve got to get out of here or we’ll be sucked in!”
Holmes immediately got into the pilot’s seat.
“Engaging impulse engines. Full impulse…now.”
Dax shook her head. “No effect. And we can’t go to warp this close the wormhole…”
“Bypassing security overrides…and we’re at 110 percent of maximum recommended output.”
Dax shook her head again. “We’re still being pulled in.”
“115...120...125 percent of maximum. Any more and we’ll rip ourselves apart.”
“Transmit an SOS the station and launch a tracking buoy with a warning message, continuous broadcast, all frequencies. And then grab on to something. We’re going in!”
The anamoly was now visible, breaking the rules of space/time. It looked literally like a crack in the universe. A blank slit which shown against the star-strewn sky.
“Routing auxiliary and emergency power to life support, shields, deflector, and structural integrity. Inertial dampers still operating.”
Dan didn’t need to add ‘so far’.

I really like this! No, I don't think it'll be too similar to my Amy/O'Brien situation. I was thinking they'd land without trouble, but the 'religious' side of the war they're in the middle of threw up some sort of defense net to prevent the other side from trying to get out into space. I haven't mapped it out in detail, but I was thinking something like that.
So this works. love it!
And no rush on doing all of them! xD One every now and then is more than enough to keep me happy. Just don't do an Amy/Picard. I cringe at the thought. I mean, he's good looking, for his age, but there are some lines even I don't cross. xD

Oh, okay. I didn't want to be stepping on your toes here. I originally planned to have Dax and Holmes wind up in the Delta Quadrant, meet up with Voyager and then...well, the ending will be the same, so I'm not going to give you a spoiler. I scrapped that because I found a better place for them to go... :) I'll give you a hint- it's along the line of their conversation earlier. The closest thing to a current day holodeck program for adult pleasure (not quite like it sounds, actually. lol).
I'm having a good time making the science apply. I had no idea what the hell a magneton scan was until I looked it up. From there, the storyline began to make more sense.
Cool. Okay, I can do that. Data will probably be up first, then. He's the most fascinating of that group.

xD Nice. Using words you don't know, and THEN looking them up. ;) Nope, no toe-stepping.
Yes, he is. I love his view of the universe, and love to be more specific. I'll be interested to see how you portray him. Will this be before or after his emotion chip? Or maybe it could be overlapping? Like, he has to keep it out for whatever reason, and then later on he gets to use it again. I mean, no need to listen to me I'm just thinking aloud, as it were. xD

lol, it worked out, though! I would have changed it if it didn't. And I'm glad there's no toe-stepping- I'm having fun with this storyline!
He's as innocent as a child sometimes, and probably the most unintentionally funny ST character ever.
Lol, that's a good question. I think it'd be more interesting without the emotion chip, at least at first. It all depends on how inspired I am XD

It's true! I took an algebra test today and I'm totally dead in the creative department. Except for the one DW thing. xD But that was only a page long, so that doesn't even really count. Besides, I took it BEFORE the test, so it double doesn't count. I'm definitely babbling. Math has fried my brain.

He finally grew a pair. I still hate him, but I think Beverely is now worse than he is. He's a kid, so he has an excuse. She's just a jerk.
Riker grew on me, though. Once they pulled the stick out of his @$$ and he relaxed a bit, he got better.
Just saw Micheal Dorn on 'Castle'. Man, he looks/sounds different!

lol, really! I've been so stressed even that doesn't seem to ripple my overhead --' I need a vacation and random, hot, guilt-free sex...which won't happen, because I'm a relationship type. Damn my genetics and manners!
If you've got time, I just updated 'Serving'. You and Andr28a are going to hate me for this chapter, I bet.

It's pretty simple. You go to the book you want on amazon (kindle edition) click purchase, and it automatically sends it to your kindle through a wireless thing called "whispernet." The kindle also does internet and games, although the games are stupid.
I like the kindle cause it looks just like a real book. Not backlit though. lol.
xD The british guy. Loved him.

Lol nerrrrrrrrrd.
Even though the guy who wrote his script knows little to nothing about british dialogue. He wouldn't have referred to the "slut" as "mate."
"I've been looking for a bird like you for ages, mate."
"Don't you worry about a thing, mate."
Guys who are attracted to a woman don't refer to her as mate. Mate is used to refer to men, by men.

Darn right! I'll wear my Spock ears with pride! XD
Ah, cool. Makes sense, then. Well, up until calling a girl that apparently :D
Geez, it's been a while since I played the story...If you need a generic problem, maybe have Tommy framed for some crime he didn't commit? Or (though it wouldn't be cannon) maybe Cortez decides he doesn't like the tought of Tommy and Mercedes together, so he puts a hit on Tommy?

lol, I don't care if you write it, but don't share it online! lol, I don't want anyone thinking Dan has other teamly tendencies. I appreciate the respect towards him/me, big time! I just found it hilarious, for some reason.
I don't think it's a crack pairing, honestly. I can see where it would happen now that you've mentioned it. I just doubt most people would make the connection. At least, most males wouldn't.

lol, sure. I'm sort of curious in a backwards way.
Not ever happening in real life, though. Ever.
lol, fair enough. I wouldn't know anything about that, so I'll take your word for it.
As for the rest of it, what do you think? I realize I haven't gotten to the 'point' of the episode yet, which comes soon.
