I must take issue with one of your internet fad/ bandwagon shouts on your profile.The IAU decides what is and what is not a planet. I for one thought it was about time that other small bodies had a fair playing field, like Ceres for one, which was ignored by the public layperson until the IAU decision of 27 August, 2006. There are so many Pluto sized objects in our system alone to focus on only a single solar system body.
Either way, the US built New Horizon spacecraft is on it's way to visit Pluto...and the US built DAWN spacecraft is on it's way to meet up with Vesta and Ceres.
If support is allowed for a wide range of solar system bodies, then more spacecraft will follow and real science can be done.
