nextguardianSimply put, I would summarize a lot of American relantionships with this: Simple mind, simple pleasures. Looks are everything. I'm not particularly into cheerleaders- it's just that they're the only ones who dressed like girls at that school! (well, there wre others, but they were the 'open for business' kind of girls). Me, personally- I'd prefer a practical girl (probably a martial artist like myself) who doesn't get hung up so much on glamour and glitz. Not so high maintenance, I mean.

Hell, I hold doors open, and all I get is a blank stare most of the time. I don't do it for attention, so I don't care, but I wonder what the hell ever happened to chivalry.

Can't wait!

Ah, that explains it. I can work with that.

nextguardianOh yeah, the cheerleader thing- typically, the guys who are into that are pervs who will otherwise not get a glimpse of a decent looking female. lol, that sounds cruel, but I'd imagine it's pretty accurate, too.

nextguardianIt's too bad, really. She was even wearing the cheerleader uniform the day I helped her. Oh, there was another time- we had this fire drill in the middle of winter, and the cheerleader were shivering. Now, I was backed into a corner, suddenly surrounded by them, since they wanted to get out of the snow. I had a choice:
a. Enjoy the hell out of this.
b. Do the gentlemanly thing and brave the cold so they can stay warm.

I chose b. I was even about to give one of them my sweatshirt when the idiotioc school powers that be let us back in. Too bad my school was full of shallow girls who didn't appreciate gestures like that. I should have known better and chose a, lol.

That'll be interesting to see. Might even make Ekyt vs. Ryofu easier. I want to make them both powerful in this fic, instead of dimming them down like I did last time.

Just a warning, aside from one genjutsu that I don't want to name. It's not a true genjutsu (Ryofu is immune to them, if I remember), more of a mix of ninjutsu and genjutsu, which is why it works.

nextguardianIt sucked- she was nice, popular, and gorgeous. But I got the feeling she also had more hands on her than a doorknob. So, not my type o' girl.
Ah, sounds cool! Can't wait to see how that works out!

With E vs. R, I've got Ekyt as an almost Orochimaru-ish version of himself- he's almost obsessed with revenge. Ryofu and Sakura assume he's dead, until Ryofu get's hit with a certain genjutsu that warns him that he's gonna pay.

nextguardianlol, we all have our breaking points. Mine was when a guy hit his girlfriend. I mean, full-out punched her! I never like to see women treated that way, so I cracked him. Then she marched over, thanked me (that's it?! Doesn't the hero always get the girl?! I got gyped!), then splattered the guy's nose, lol!

Still working. I had a good spell of writer's block (minus the wierd pairings RQ fic). I'm still working on that Ekyt vs Ryofu fic. It's looking good, though.

nextguardianAh. For me, it was just four years, then right into college. During those four years, I had this much fun:

-six knives pulled on me (Before I knew martial arts the way I do know)
-pushed down the stairs (landed on my feet somehow 0o)
-Chased some trash-talking army guy down the hall with a chair after he insulted me.

And a few others. I'm kind of thankful for the knife thing in retrospect. I wouldn't have taken martial arts as seriously if that hadn't happened.

nextguardianHigh school is a nightmare no matter what, but I'd hate to think of a sheltered life version into that hellhole. I've heard people call it 'the best years'. THAT is crap, unless you're the elite popular group. For me, the teachers got worse- they tried the sheltering bit, telling me to ignore bullies. 'Cause not standing up for yourself works so well...(eye roll)

nextguardianExactly. When I was younger, my parents let me try things and make a few of my own mistakes. Not like running around with knives or something, but I mean little things. Play with this kid or not? No? That's fine. I saw two of my younger cousins who were raised with that whole 'sheltered' thing. Now they're seeing the real world, and it's not easy for them.
I'd really like to see an all-anime channel- one that doesn't censor it at all. It could run english dubs and subs, and just put the gory stuff on at 10:00 and later.

nextguardianI like how they edit out blood. Uh, knife wound? Gonna bleed! Cigarettes make smoke! People get hurt!
I don't think hiding the truth from kids makes it easier on them. Naruto would be a better influence if you showed what REALLY happened in combat, lol.
That, and you wouldn't get people calling it a half-a**ed anime all the time.
