I really hit a snag with that until I got the idea to make the fics different. This one is a horror 1st person, this one is a standard fic, this one is set in the past, etc. Doing multiple fics of the same kind at one point gets pretty confusing. (that's why the early chapters of Tides of Time have so many plot holes- they were plugging up holes in the wrong fic -_-')

It's happened to me. It's really all but unavoidable.

That's a nice catch, too. All the opposing sides coming together in your latest chapter worked really nicely. It's hard to get something like that to write smoothly imho, but you did great.

That's the cool thing about multiple fics- no stone left unturned. I've been tempted to do some EkytXTenten, EkytXTemari, and EkytXAzami. Just to see how it would work out.

Well, in a contest with specific parameters, there's def going to be some similar work. There's only so many ways to write Naruto (and do it well anyway)

Kimimaro was a cool idea. Would've been great if he lived longer in the manga/anime. He's a cool char that's underrated. The fact that he's not blatantly evil is one of my fave things.

I'd imagine the hardest part for him (and for me to write due to it's complexity) is how to get him to give up on ever getting Sakura. That, and if he couldn't tell cute little Sakura, whom he's known for years, how he feels, how is he going to tell drop-dead gorgeous Azami.

I tried 'rationing' my writing, but I just couldn't do it. Either I got 600 ideas and wrote ten chapters, or I got zilch. It depends on which fic I'm working on- something like the Moon Cycle Prophecy really depends on me being in a violent or depressed mood, lol

Ekyt's a total surprise to her, and she's kind of amused by him. He's really gotta turn on the charm to warm her cold blood, lol.

I liked my entry until just now. I def took a gamble using Asuma and Kurenai. The idea of them being 'dating mentors' to Sakura and Ryouko sounded cool, but now I'm kind of wondering about my decision. I'm sorely tempted to submit a second entry, but I can't see it being any better :\
I think your entry came out fine. I don't know about you, but contests seem to bring out the weirdest mix of my best and worst work.

See, I'm hyper-aware of my strengths and weaknesses- I just can't seem to correct my faults anymore. The one glaring fault I've got is that I can't plan a chapter in advance- 9/10 times my plan winds up sucking once it gets past the 'brainstorm' stage.

She's fun to write. Ekyt's so uptight. Azami isn't 'easy' by any means, but she seems more...worldy than he does. Having them match wits was fun to write. I almost had them go the extra mile and seduce each other, lol. I figured something like 'they spike each other's drinks, wake up in bed together, realize they're both still fully clothed'.

No problem, hope the luck I passed along is good. I think I burned through all the bad...lol

Just read that entry. It's pretty good. I'm not gifted in that kind of poetic writing. I tend to stick to my strengths: Battles and unrequited love.

Thanks. Kinda wish I DID know a girl like that. ^^' Ah well, it's healthy for Ekyt/Ryouko to have a girl like that around. It really helped me to expand Ekyt a little- stuff he won't say or think around Sakura just pops into his head. The concept of him in a serving role to Sakura was bound to happen sooner or later, lol.

Looking forward to that. The Sannin as kids sounds fun, too. Best of luck with both of those.

I just had that problem myself, actually (That long delay between chs 50/51 and up). What cured it was another anime/manga entirely. Negima provided some nice ideas for Azami's debut.
