Image conversion failed. Try re-submitting in another format

I keep getting that message when I try to submit a picture of a furry I drew. I'm not all that computer smart, so I asked my dad what was wrong. He doesn't get it either. Whats going on? This has never happened with any of my other pictures, and I uploaded this to my computer and then to the site the same as I normally do. I have no clue what the matter is. D: HALP MEH.

I just had a piece of art rejected because I didn't ask "permission." Understandable.

But thing is, I gave full and complete credit to the artist, I completely revamped the drawing and colored it.

I was told that this isn't a "file sharing or image hosting site."

Duh? Its a fanart site. It was a bit contradictory of them to deny submission on lack of "permission."

I mean, do I have to ask Akira Toriyama every time I want to submit a DBZ character or Masashi Kishimoto for Naruto?

The copyright rules state that if taken from an original character from another artist, full credit must be given (which it was) so long as no profit is made, not to mention that in order to use the artwork in anyway WITHOUT permission, you must change at least six things about the piece (Warner Bros used this method ALOT to make fun of Disney). This could be a bit shady in my situation but since i inked, colored, and added a background and logo to it...I think I'm pretty safe in that area too. But I still gave full and complete credit, plus I sent several messages letting her know that I did it.

Case in point, I understand why the rejection occured, but your admins need to learn a thing or two about copyright violations before they start accepting artwork. That and I was a little offended by the response of "we are not a file sharing or image hosting site." Even though I buy no service here, I am a customer and that was simply rude.

Eitherway, I'll play this game and send it to her through email and let her deal with it.

you realise that the dead giveaway for that was "mudkipp infested devient art"? nice april fools joke you guys. btw if it was real i would have had to violently reprogram your mainframe with a chainsaw ^.^

um a little help with explaining picture regected #675658 and what i did wrong? i only scanned in the card for its background, not the entire card

The link above is a great resource for when you have questions on picture submission. Most likely, from what I understand from what you have wrote, they submission staff probably didn't like the scanned and used background. You could also check the FAQ (there's a link at the top of your screen under the logo) which has information on submission rules. It's always possible to miss something.

If you want an answer to this i suggest you post on the forums in the "Genral Help" topic and surely you'll get an answer to your problem with submiting pics much faster.
