Sasuke: *chuckles**runs and hugs her from behind*

Sasuke: *puts Shini on his shoulder* The stars are so bright...

sakiko: *nods* How about you two?

sakura: I'm fine..

Sasuke: ^^ It's a nice night, isn't it?

Sasuke: *smiles**follows her out*

gai: *picks her up* We should bring her to the hospital..Get her checked out.

fudo: *drops to ground with thud and stands up* I'll leave you alone... for now... *smirks and disappears*

Sasuke: *chuckles**rubs Shini's head*

((It's really good!))

Sasuke: *picks up Shini* Come on! We're going for a walk!

Sasuke: Alright. You wanna take Shini? I bet he would like some time outside.

Oh, your turn!!

The return to Konoha was a dismal one for Team 5, as the smoke from the ferry slowly turned the sky above them black. What was left of the team walked out slowly down the ramp, scuffling their feet, not showing any sign of happiness. Two medic ninja came out behind them, carefully carrying out a gurney with a white sheet covering it, although the sheet was already starting to stain red.

The mere sight of the white and red sheet caused the youngest of the team to fall to her knees, sobbing and hiding her face in her hands. The tears made Nara’s golden eyes slowly go red and bloodshot. Dani, the sensei, kneeled down next to her. When rubbing her back didn’t comfort the child, Dani simply picked her up and held her close, letting Nara cry into her shoulder.

Selina, however, was being very quiet, not shedding a tear or making a sound. She looked at the gurney, and sighed, a bit of sadness in her voice, remorse maybe? It didn’t really matter to her, it’s not like anyone was listening. Now holding Nara, Dani walked over close to Selina, and ruffled her hair a bit. “I know it’s hard, kiddo. We’ll work things out. Don’t worry…” Selina just looked at her, understanding, yet a bit confused. “But…what exactly happened?” Dani bit her lip, and focused her eyes on Nara, who was half-asleep, her eyes randomly fluttering closed then opening widely. “I’ll have to explain later.”

Still holding Nara, Dani looked at the ferry full of thought. This, she knew, would be difficult to explain to the Hokage. "I wasn't supposed to let them out of my sight...” she muttered. Selina turned her head up slightly towards Dani. "What, Sensei...?"
"Nothing." She said quickly. Selina raised a questioning eyebrow, knowing it was something.
The team walked, slowly still, through the town. They felt the hard stares of the townspeople as they dragged their feet. They must have seen the gurney and knew.

Kouga's funeral was to be at 5 o’clock exactly. Only one hour. Dani shook the sleeping child, who now had her face buried in her chest. "Nara," She whispered softly, "Nara, wake up. You need to go home to get ready..." Nara rubbed her eyes, puffy from crying in her sleep and carefully slipped from her sensei's arms. Selina still remained quiet as she left to get ready. She did not like whatever 'secret' it was that Dani was keeping from her.

Golden feline eyes stared blankly in to space as the brunette staggered home with sleeping puppy nestled safely in her coat.
Dani looked down to the cobbled ground, almost anticipating the many questions as well as the enraged complaints from Kouga's family. She clenched her fist tightly almost infuriated at the snide comments that would come from her brother one he would have gotten wind of the unfortunate event.
Selina closed her eyes to sigh, it was true that she harbored a deep hate for him as well as certain other shinobi of the village but was the hate she felt strong enough to want him dead? Possibly, after all, the last thing she felt was sadness towards the event.

Her nostrils flared for a moment.
she caught the scent of something...a rather sweet smell it was to her, strong too and in a way intoxicating....blood...it was human blood...and it was close...very close.
Her eyes shot open and brought her pale hands close to her face.
The smell was on her hands....but why? How?
"Dani-sensei?....I can smell blood"

The older woman brushed her silver bang from her face and gazed down at the hanyou with both her emerald and single sharingan eyes. She was hiding something; it was showing slightly in her eyes despite her attempts to hide it.
"It is nothing Selina....Kouga's death was an accident, there was nothing that could have stopped it" she slashed a reassuring smile relax.
'I have to tell her....I will have to eventually...but first Sakiko must know...she might be able to handle this better' she thought to herself.

Selina turned around to leave...that is when she caught them....those murderous glances, the looks of unending resentment, all directed at her. They knew something, they all did...

On her way home, Nara was getting the same exact looks from people, along with some yelling from people who knew her secret, spread by gossipers among the academy. She did her best to shield herself from these people, and their hurtful looks. It was bad enough that she had lost someone so close to her, having people glare at her was not helping at all. If anything, it was going to make her break. So instead of going home, and having a chance at blowing up at Iruka, she bought a simple black dress, and changed in a bathroom, then slowly headed to the funeral grounds, away from anyone’s glaring eyes.

At the funeral grounds, Kouga’s body was calmly laying in a casket. The wounds had been cleaned up and sown closed, and he had been changed into clean mission clothes. Certain items were in the casket with him: a ninja handbook, flowers, a few weapons, and a picture of Team 5. Selina wore the normal grumpy look on her face, Nara was smiling and blushing, and Kouga was grinning, hands in a peace sign. By the casket, Kouga’s parents were sobbing into each other’s shoulders, unable to bring themselves to look at their dead son. The Hokage sighed, looking up at the grey sky as people started arriving.

Sakiko stood in the back of the funeral, awaiting Dani, her first childhood friend to come back. Dani had gone over to Kouga's parents in attempt to calm them. But by the look on her face as she return, she had failed. "Are you sure Selina had done it...?" Sakiko whispered as low as she could. "I told you I am positive, nobody else could have done such damage." They turned away from each other afterwards and looked at the young girls who stood in front placing a single flower, each, on their deceased teammate.

Quickly, Nara turned away. She felt her stomach churn, in fear. She knew how Kouga had died, she saw it happen in front of her eyes, and that made her not want to be near Selina anymore. Selina stared at her, confused. Why was Nara acting so strange towards her? Nara turned her head slightly back at Kouga and saw Selina staring directly at her. She let out a small gasp and scurried over to Iruka. He was like a big brother, even a father figure towards her, and she felt safest around him. Iruka stooped down low and held the sobbing girl, rubbing her back in attempt to calm her. Selina became even more confused as she dragged her feet back to Sakiko. Sakiko smiled weakly at her daughter and rested a firm hand on her shoulder. "It'll be alright..." She said in a soothing voice. Selina nodded, half listening and looked over to Nara and Iruka. Why was Nara so afraid of her? Suddenly Selina felt a sudden feeling of hate grow inside her. "Why is everyone keeping secrets from me?" She hissed between gritted teeth.

"Nara," Iruka was looking directly into her golden eyes, "Why haven't you talked to Selina at all..? It's as if you are ignoring her..." Nara was quiet and glanced over to Selina who seemed to have a dark look in her eyes. "Because..." She whispered, "I don't want Selina to...kill me..." Selina snapped her head over to Nara; she had obviously heard every word. "Why would I kill you, you ungrateful brat?!" Everybody stared at Selina in surprise. "Selina, Watch your tongue!" Sakiko's voice was stern and hard. "Ungrateful!?" Nara screamed. "Nara!" Iruka tried hushing the girl. "I'M NOT THE ONE WHO KILLED MY OWN TEAMMATE!" Nara quickly struck Selina in the gut with a mighty blow, sending her flying into the crowd.
