Everyone, it is my turn to take leave of Fanart Central.
College has become too hectic now that I am entering my senior year. I am also in the premedical track, so the tasks will only build up! Do you know how long I have been on FAC? 6 years. That makes me all the more reluctant to go, but I must go. I am not cutting ties; I am letting them fall, and if any of you guys find me again someway somehow, I will surely pick them up again. However, for now, let me get adjusted to simply concentrating on my own life as a regular artist and student.
It was fantastic getting to know all of you. I faved, commented, complimented, critiqued, argued, and laughed with too many of you to count. I started as a total noob and finished as a site helper. I did what I could in my time here - it was tedious, but I was proud of it. Do not ever ever stop drawing, guys! You know what you guys have, every single one of you, is special. Never let it go.
See everyone on the flip side, yo!

=13pxIn reguards to the contest here:
=13pxWell after thinking about it I decided the winners. Remember these are based of my personal opinion. I ordered them to what I found most aesthetically appealing which was hard because I likes all the entries. Anyway here are the results.
=13px1. SofeSmity
=13px2. luckylace222
=13px3. MadamePenguin
=13px4. Firiel
=13px5. smokeybandit1
=13pxYou all did very well and I love how each piece is different while using cheap materials.
=13pxThe first three all get prizes but I'd like to thank The other two as well for their pieces.

For writing a story it is tempting to tell everything. But if you tell everything then you end up with a page of lists, and no one wants to read that. Focus on what moves the plot forward and have other smaller details appear in the background as afterthoughts or part of a descriptive detail.
For example:
Rina entered the courtyard. She was wearing her favorite satin red dress. I knew she wanted to talk to me, but I didn't know about what. She looked really nervous. We met by the fountain, per her request, and she stared into my eyes before she began to speak.
It sounds so much more interesting, and shorter, written like this:
I paced by the fountain and caught a glimpse of Rina as she entered the courtyard. She fidgeted with the trim on her red satin dress as she approached me. As our eyes met she took a deep breath, then began our secret meeting.
It is just a matter of how you weave your words together.

luucckkkyyyyy!!! So I haven't been on in a long time. I've kinda moved to tumblr... IT'S MY NEW LOVE I'M SO SORRY.
Not a lot of people talk to me on here :-/ All of my older friends have left here. I dunno... I don't really have anything else to do on here anymore. I do, however, plan on finishing my story since I finally graduated and have time.
But hey, I'm on it constantly. IF YOU HAVE ONE YOU SHOULD FOLLOW ME. It'll be some sweet sauce.
