I could always suggest an automatic resizing feature on the forums, but it might be rejected because it goes against the approval panel, and apparently, they wanted to be as different from DA as possible. ;__; Hrrrnnn. I will still suggest it though.

It certainly would make things more convenient. Even if it's an optional feature. *Shrug* Haha.

Stratadrake: Don't we already have that? If a picture is larger than X size then it is resized to X when the page is viewed (but contains a link to the full size).

Submissions larger than Y are screened for approval, this was simply a trap to help discourage users from uploading raw 150/300dpi scans / workfiles.

cstdenis: Yes, that is correct. New site version is slightly different -- has you click the picture for full size instead of a link under it.

Only massively over sized ones need to be rejected because they are a waste of disk space and bandwidth.

Edit: Also, new version up. New tabs styling for mini galleries, and thumbs alignment/layout/style improved. Also thumb shadows are now CSS based instead of part of the image.

Basically, an automatic resizing system for all uploaded artwork is unclear as of yet. I replied with: "Sorry for lack of clarification! I meant when you submit a picture that is large enough for the "trap," is it possible to set up an interface that automatically resizes it for them instead of having to send them a rejection notice for them to resize it themselves?"

However, from what they do say, there will be a good site update physically and internally on the viewing option of pictures. If you are a user that already has auto-approve and your pictures are too large(so much that it is extra space/strain on the database), than you will usually have a rejection notice. I do want an automatic resizing interface if that is possible though! I will tell you the reply...if there is one! P;

1) I can sit down and watch a thousand videos on youtube or TV of surgeries, documentaries on human mutants, real life blood and guts, etc. and be totally enthralled by it all- having absolutely no trouble sleeping within the same night I just watched a bunch of surgeons disect a person's skull. And then I'm up all night because of just about any horror film. Or, I guess I should say that stuff that 'makes you jump'. I hate it. Hate hate hate that crap that jumps out at you! The tension is haunting! I watched this retarded video that was going all slow in the beginning... one of those situations for me that are like, "Okay... something random is going to jump out of nowhere and try to scare me. It's gonna happen... any moment now... Whatever I totally see this com- AGH! *gasps, jumps, scrambling to exit out of window* *scariness ends before I can exit out* .... Th-that was stupid-! Crap. I don't think I'll be able to be on YIM tonight. I'm REALLY sorry about that. I did have an idea, though, I wanted to run by you: We're not at Shippuden yet in the RP. My big plan is for Yuji to train a lot to get way stronger. Because of this, he'll work with lots of people and hear rumors. Maybe the name 'Matsu' keeps popping up. He investigates, but doesn't make the connection between Akane and the Matsu clan (since ANBU agents don't hand our business cards).
Meanwhile, Akane starts hearing rumors about that, too. She hears about Zabuza's apparent re-incarnation (Suigetsu) clashing with 'Yuji'. She won't make the connection because she only knows 'Ryouko'. And if she looked at his ANBU file, she'd see his real name was blacked out on the sheet. So this leads them to investigating to the same place. We'll say Mt. Tenchu for now. This is a setup by Saburo, who knows that BOTh of them know. And then...fight!

I guess that depends on what your OC does/who he or she is, etc. Holmes is a super-serious military type with no life, so almost anyone can play off him, I think. He's the perfect straight man!

Okay. Let's say, then, you're Mustang and Hawkeye (just because they're kind of important), and I'll be my OC (Private First Class Daniel Holmes) and...whoever we happen to need, I guess. lol. How's this for a start:

PFC Holmes made his way down the hall at central carrying two cups of coffee. The bustle didn't shock him, even at this hour. Central was a fascinating place, and very active at any hour.
Holmes was the type of soldier that was loyal- period. If others joked or just hung out, he was praciticing his aim, polishing his boots, or speaking to superior officers to learn more about the military.
It made Holmes shiver to think that he had joined the military for the worst reason possible- to pay off a debt of gratitude to FPK Bradley. Since the rumors he had heard had been confirmed by a friend now outside the military, Holmes couldn't ignore fact any longer.
So why was he still bringing the Fuhrer coffee whenever he had the earliest duty shift?

Bradley stood with his arms behind his back, looking out the window. He was shaking- damn kids made too much noise! And how much longer was that construction going to take? Those hammers worked on your nerves.

"Sir?"

Immediatly, Bradley smoothed his face and straightened up.
"Ah, Holmes. Coffee for me?"

Holmes saluted. "Yes, sir. Regular, cream, no sugar."

"Thank you, Private. Tell me- how are you liking Mustang's group?"

Was that question a trick, or just conversation? Holmes dind't know anymore. So he answered with a direct, easy to interpret reply:
"The Colonel is a smart man who trains his group well. I'm lucky to get to train with them."

After exiting Bradley's office, Holmes made his way toward one end of the building to deliver the other cup of coffee. This one was for Lt. Hawkeye.
What a woman! Beautiful, smart, and strong. Good career...
Crushing on one of your superiors didn't usually end well (as Sgt. Brosh had proven so many times), but Holmes couldn't help it.

Upon seeing Hawkeye holding a duty roster, he straightened up and salute.

"Here you are, ma'am. regular, sugar and cream."

Hawkeye hated that kind of coffee, and Holmes knew it. But that wasn't important. What WAS important was the address on the inside of the cup, put in place by simple alchemy.

Or we could actually be various military figures. I'll be my OC; you be Hawkeye and Mustang. I'll be Havoc; etc. Or whoever you want. You get first picks...CAUSE YOU'RE BETTER!

Let's see...how about this: Just before Mustang's group is scattered, they get a new recruit who feels like he owes Bradley his life. He's just become aware of the truth of the situation, and is now loyal to Mustang. Thanks, in part, to a wicked crush on Lt. Hawkeye.

So, about the RP: My plan is to have Ryouko desert Orochimaru now that he's gathered info and sabotaged him. He'll be injured on the way out, but manage to escape and lay low in a nearby village. This village will 'adopt' him...until someone sells him out to Akane.

Well, I've been messing around with various Japanese fonts. I've come to the conclusion that I need to get a Hirigana/katakana keyboard. It is friggin' impossible to memorize any characters! How is a plus sign even close to 'Su'?! Gah, frustrating.

It sounds like a good match for you, then. You'd be surprised at how often enthusiasm is the deciding factor on what makes a martial artist good or not. The instructors can always tell who puts in the effort to learn, and those are the people that get the attention. You've got the right attitude for it, so I'm sure you'll pick things up fairly quickly :)

Well, what I DO know of it: It's a powerful grappling art, but it doesn't rely on pure strength so much as technique. Body placement is key. It's a pretty rough and tumble thing, but very practical to know in my opinion. And I'm told it's fun for competitions :)

Lots of kids at my school are getting swine flu O_o And- (idk if this is swine flu) but kids have been getting sick with hot/cold chills. Scary, much? I'm not quite sure what to think. I also have a friend who says he's been feeling sick. If he's there monday and still feeling crappy I'm going to have to yell at him to go home and sleep before he dies in the middle of class -_- the dork...

I think I've only ever intentionally killed a bug once in my intire life O_o And it was while I was camping with my youth group and I woke up early early in the morning before anybody else to see a mosquito on the tent wall. I was afraid it was gonna bite somebody, so, after standing with a shoe held up for about half an hour trying to decide whether or not to do it, I smooshed it. :C

Ya know...after I killed that bug, I was informed later that it was a mesquito-EATER. I felt so bad D: I felt liked I'd killed my little protector or a police man or something... ;__; ugh. It was harmless! What if it had eaten a few REAL mosquitos in the night? And how did I repay it? .... ;__; by smooshing it with my friend's boot! Waaahhh!! I'm sorry! *shouts to heaven* Little Mesquito eater! I can't tell the difference! I'll research it! And I promise never to intentionally kill another one of you guys again! Waaah!

Okay. I read and reread the rules and checked with the FAQ. The only place OOC is allowed is in the thread itself and can not be long or of the nature we intended. I am looking at resurrecting my old RP site I own and maybe using there as our OOC and perhaps as a practice zone to work out possible scenes. Maybe even work on getting other similar split RP's going. Up to you all. Who knows. We could maybe get the site running again and have our own RP group.

PD has done this many many many times befur. She simply has a bad habit. Besides. NG is Working on a more major role with her. As for wolf. I am setting up the whole feud fur leadership bit as a kind of side line for Wolf and I. That'll keep him and I's more powerful abilities in the story, but not god moding the rest of the battles. Anyway. The advice is good on your part. We will try and get it sorted off. I suggest a temporary break as we sort it out.
