Don't the northern lights go in a cycle every 10 years. They get brighter and brighter towards the end of the 10 years and after it... they fade away again. I think the peak was about 2 years ago, well, for a few weeks we saw them nearly every night! It was beautiful. Greens and pinks so bright that it looked almost like daytime.
Something kinda like this.(see the link below) You can actually see where the rays come down from the sky and see between them. Its beautiful, because they can change so fast and change shape. And other times you get great big beams and flashes of light that look like searchlights through the sky.  Its really worth seeing.http://science.nasa.gov/spaceweather/aurora/images2003/14oct03/Russell1.jpg

You can see the stars there at this time of year? Hmm. It doesn't get dark here at this time of year. Nope. Haven't seen the stars for about 3 months. But the longest day has been and now its going to get darker again! Noooo! Which means winter! Nooo! Well, summer up here only really starts in late July-September. But still, it'll be getting dark again! Which is good in some ways. Northern lights for one... stars... easier to get to sleep at night... But! Then in the heart of winter... the sun sets at 3 oclock which is such a depressing thing! And only rises at about 8.30 and then you're blinded all the way to school.  Its not high enough to be blocked out by the school bus roof.
Yeap, it has its pros and cons. ^-^

Wheee! Yep! Fun fun fun! *looks out window* its such a nice night here. Its almost flat calm and no rain... but! There are midges everywhere!!! You go outside and BAM!! They hit you like a cloud. You come back in with the little lippers all over your arms! *Kersplat!!* Dead midgee!!! When the door is left open some nights... they all swarm into the house. And then they go up onto the roof. And since our ceiling is white you can easily see the little swarms. So! MY invention!
Get a piece of wet kitchen paper towel and fold it once to get it a bit more unfloppified! Then you throw it up onto the ceiling and splat! It gets 'im and its a tonn of fun! Cruelty to bugs? Nooo! They suck ma blood and what do I get! I great big itchy mark!! Nope. And its not like they're endangered....(as if!!)  so splats away!!!

kk See you. I live in TN. I've also been out of school for some time. I'm not gonna read the story yet bc I wanna draw something and I'm really lazy, but I'll read it.

OK I'll read your story. I'm the year of the horse too. That description sounded a lot like me. Some of it was wrong, but the rest was frighteningly acrurate.

XD I should probably start using my own hand as a reference. Then it would come out better. Hands defidently aren't the easiest things to draw.
