Sam: ...Okay... now let's go to sleep... *he closes his eyes, soon falling asleep*

Sarah: *doesn't even bother moving, and falls asleep with her head on his stomach*

meanwhile, in Key's dream

Todd: *is human, and approaches Key* Hey, Key! :) *he waves at her in a friendly manner*

Key: *turns around to look at him, and for a moment, she doesn't recognize him* Who are...? *when he comes closer, she suddenly realizes who the man is, and her eyes widen* T-Todd...?

Todd: Yeah, it's me. :) Listen, I need to talk to you about something... <:(

Key: *takes a step towards him, putting a hand on his cheek, just to see if he was real* y-you're really here... *shakes her head* W-What do you want to talk about?

Todd: What happened in court today. Tom's been declared not guilty, right? He's at the asylum now?

Key: *pulls her hand away, and looks down, her face twisting into a furious scowl* That's right.

Todd: *he smiles at her slightly* ...I'm really happy for him, Key...

Key: *looks back up at him, shocked* W-WHAT? Todd, he--that man MURDERED YOU! D8<

Todd: I hurt him, Key... he's getting the help he needs, now... and, well... I've done worse, remember? That IS why he went after me in the first place, yknow... if I didn't deserve the death sentence, then he - this broken, haunted man - doesn't deserve it either.

Key: *her anger fades--he was right, she knew he was, but she hated to admit it* ...but he... *looks down* ...you didn't deserve to die... N-Not like that...

Todd: *he pulls her into a hug* ... I know it hurts to lose someone, Key... and I've been watching you since I died... and I know how you've been feeling and acting... and well, here's me saying that you need to move on... if not for you, then for Sarah... for me... you can't get stuck in this... this ANGER... this sense of blind VENGEANCE...

Key: *feebly hugs him back, head resting on his shoulder* That anger was what drove me after you died... If I let go of that, I'll have nothing left but an empty house and a daughter that's too busy to visit... I don't want to let go of you, Todd...

Todd: ... You won't be alone, Key... I promise...

Key: ... *nods, and hugs him more tightly, feeling the tears flowing again* I-I believe you... I miss you so much, Todd...

Todd: *he tightens his grip on Key to match hers, raising one of his hands to comb his fingers through her hair* I know, Key... go on and cry - you shouldn't be bottling up your feelings like this... <:(

Key: *cries on his shoulder, hugging him tightly--she had him there, and she'd keep him as long as she could, before he was gone again... she cries, letting everything out, her grief, her anger, everything just seemed to filter out along with the tears*

Sam: *walks into the apartment* ... Understandably... you wanna just go to bed right now? <:(

Sarah: *lets out a long sigh* Sure... just let me shower first... *turns to look at him* You know, if you're going to be staying here for a while, you might want to bring some of your stuff over...

Sam: Yeah, I'll, uh... I'll do that when I get the chance... *he rubs the back of his neck*

Sarah: *gives him a small smile, and heads into her room, grabs her clothes, and goes to take a shower*

Sam: *he lies down on the bed, waiting for her, staring at the ceiling. A lot has happened this day* ...

Sarah: *comes out of the shower after a little while, and sits down on the edge of the bed with a tired sigh* ...they really shouldn't have had the trial right after the funeral...

Sam: ... They didn't have a choice, Sarah... but yes, I agree. Those were both emotionally exhausting...

Sarah: Mmmh... *simply lays back on the bed from where she was sitting, and her head ends up on Sam's stomach. she doesn't seem to mind* ...I'm just glad that they're done shooting... I don't have to go in to work for a while...

Sam: Well... *he laughs slightly* Good for you, huh? Gotta wake up early tomorrow to get some work done... especially gonna have to track Blood Puppet down again...

Sarah: *turns her head to look at him, eyes narrowed* You're really going to go after him again?

Sam: ... If I don't, Sarah, who will? <:/

Sarah: ... *turns to stare back up at the ceiling* ...I just don't want to see you hurt like that again...

Sam: ... I know what to expect now, Sarah... I'll be fine.

Sarah: ...Let me go with you.

Sam: *he stares at her silently. He knows if he refuses to take her, she'll just keep pushing it, or sneak along anyway* ...

Sarah: *turns to look at him, staring back. He HAD to let her go...* ...

Sam: *He sighs* ... Fine... but we've gotta be up at six tomorrow, if you can deal with that. We've gotta go to the outpost first.

Sarah: I'm okay with that.

Sam: *bites his bottom lip*

Harry: *seems about ready to jump up and start yelling himself*

Defense Attorney: U-uh, please settle down, Ms. Huntings... D:

Still: *smirks at Key*

*a breeze enters through the open window and swirls around Key, as if trying to comfort her*

Claire: *puts her arm around Harry and rubs his shoulder, hoping he won't get up...*

Key: *feels that wind, and slowly sits back down, staring at the table* it's not fair...

Judge: If I do recall correctly, Ms. Huntings, this was the same verdict that was given to your husband after the aforementioned crime--it is completely fair.

Key: *goes completely silent* ...

Sarah: *relaxes a bit--she was glad her mother had calmed down, but she knew she wasn't happy with the way this was going...*

Harry: *doesn't, but glares bitterly*

Sam: *watches, worried about Ms. Huntings*

Wind: *stops swirling around her only to blow against her shoulders*

*the court goes on for another hour after Still's extremely important statement was spoken...*

Key: *stays silent for the rest of the trial unless she was asked to speak*

Sarah: *waits, now more worried about her mother than what the actual verdict was* ...

Claire: *waits with the rest of them, hoping this will be over soon*

Judge: Has the jury reached a verdict?

Juror: We have, your honor. The jury has decided that the defendant is not guilty due to insanity.

Judge: Mr. Tom Stills, due to your circumstances, you are hereby sentenced to stay at the Institute for the Criminally Insane.

Stills: ...Yes your honor...

Harry: *shaking*

Sam: *looks at Sarah* D:>

Defense and Prosecution: *pack up*

Claire: *rubs his shoulder* It's alright, Harry... it's over.

Sarah: *looks back at Sam--she couldn't deny the fact that it was a fair sentence, but she knew Key would not feel the same way*

Key: *seems to stay frozen there for a moment before she slowly stands, and starts heading out of the courtroom*

Sarah: I have to go after her... *stands up, and chases after her mother*

Sam: <:( *decides to stay with his parents, seeing as this was something Sarah had to do alone*

Harry: *he relaxes slightly again, glaring at his shoes*

Claire: *continues rubbing his shoulder* There we go... *looks at Sam* Did Sarah go talk to Key? <:/

meanwhile

Sarah: *eventually catches up to her mother* Mom! Hey... *puts a hand on her shoulder* Are you doing okay...? D:>

Key: *turns around to look at Sarah--there were tears streaming down her face and hate in her eyes* ...That man should have died for what he did...

Sarah: *is caught off-guard by her expression. she had expected something similar, but this...* Mom... th-they gave him the same punishment they gave Dad...

Key: *almost snarling* He didn't deserve that kind of mercy...

Sam: Yeah... I'm sure Ms. Huntings is really upset right now... <:(

Harry: *growling* I'M really upset...

Sam: ... He got a fair trial, Dad. Just like Mr. Huntings. <:(

Claire: That he did... I'm actually surprised it took that long for them to decide on it...

meanwhile

Sarah: ...They're locking him up, mom, isn't that good enough for you?

Key: No, Sarah. It's not. If you ask me, I say they went easy on him--that man committed MURDER, and they ruled him NOT GUILTY? I SAW him wave his goddamned GUN in front of my FACE after he SHOT him--how DARE they let him off the hook like that?!

Sam: ... Well, the prosecutor was doing his best...

Harry: ... He didn't do good enough...

Sam: <:/

Claire: ...Come on, we should be heading home...

Sarah: *is somewhat scared of her sudden rage* Mom--

Key: Stop defending him, Sarah--he killed your FATHER!

Sarah: ...I'm not...

Key: *simply glares at her before turning and leaving, heading down the street back to her home*

Harry: Mnn... *with the help of his cane, he gets up, slowly shuffling out*

Sam: <:( *he heads over to where Sarah is* ... Hey... uh... let's head home...

Claire: *helps Harry out, and they head home*

Sarah: *looks down at the ground, defeated* ...Okay...

Sam: *he drives his motorcycle to Sarah's apartment, parking there and walking to her apartment room with her*

Sarah: *opens the door into the apartment* ...mom's BEYOND upset...

Sam: *Buttons up the last button on his jacket* Yeah. Let's go. <:/

*They head out, Sam driving with Sarah to the courthouse with his motorcycle*

THERE

Sam: *parks and gets off the bike* ... h'okay...

Sarah: *hops off the bike* ...I'm pretty sure mom's already here... come on. *goes into the courthouse*

Sam: *nods and follows her in, entering the courtroom and sitting in the audience. He sits next to his mother and father and prayed that there wouldn't be any outbursts from either Ms. Huntings, or his dad* ...

The Killer: *he sits with his lawyer, handcuffed to make sure he doesn't try anything, and looking extremely angry*

Sarah: *sits with Sam, unable to testify as a witness--though she shared his fears*

Key: *was the only witness, and she was eager to take the stand--she wanted this man dead* ...

Judge: *enters the room along with the jury, and sits down* The court is now in session. *malletsmack*

*and so began the trial*

Prosecutor: *to Key* Witness, please state your name and occupation.

Killer: *glares*

Defense Attorney: *whispering to him* Stop that. D:<

Sam: *watches, as well as watches his father carefully*

Harry: *is silent* ...

Sarah: *watches, praying that her mother won't do or say something inappropriate*

Key: *glances at the killer, trying to keep herself from glaring right back* My name is Mikaela Huntings, I'm currently unemployed...

Prosecutor: Could you please tell us, Ms. Huntings, where you were when the murder happened?

Killer: ...

Sam: *wringing his hands nervously*

Harry: ...

Key: I was standing in the front porch at home, waiting for my husband to return from work.

Sarah: *takes a deep breath--so far so good...*

Prosecutor: And what happened next?

Killer: ...

Harry: ...

Sam: *still nervous*

Key: Todd was running along the roofs, same way he always does... and I just heard a gunshot ring out, Todd fell, and died when he hit the ground.

Sarah: *is even more nervous than Sam--she knew how her dad felt, what he wanted--and she was PRAYING this would continue to go smoothly* ...

Killer: HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED TOO, dog!! D8<

Defense Attorney: No no no no...! D8

Sam: *freezes. Oh god, what has he done?*

*suddenly, before Key is able to say anything back, the gavel flies off the judge's desk and smacks the killer in the head*

Killer: OW!! frack!! WHO THE HELL THREW THAT?? D8<

Everyone: *is very very silent. No one threw that* o__________o

The Judge: *looks completely shocked--he wasn't even HOLDING the gavel when it flew off*

Key: *was about to say some very unkind things to the killer, but she was just as shocked as everyone else, and was rendered speechless* ...

Sarah: *is just as confused for a moment, until she has a thought. maybe... she glances around, sees that one of the windows near the roof was slightly open, and smiles involuntarily--of COURSE he would...*

Sam: *glances over at Sarah, wondering why on earth she was SMILING. He whispers to her* S-Sarah... uh... about me not believing in ghosts... D8>

Defense Attorney: S-so, uh... *clears his throat and looks I-I believe this is a good time t-to share with the jury the victim's relationship with...

Killer: ...

Defense Attorney: ... With Mr. Tom Still, here...

Harry: *under his breath* "relationship"...?

Sarah: *whispers back* told you so... *her smile vanishes upon hearing the word "relationship." This must be what Todd meant... she pays attention* ...

Key: *Relationship? what the hell was he talking about, she was sure Todd didn't know that man...*

Defense Attorney: Mr. Still, please explain to us how you know Mr. Huntings.

Still: Hah... hahah... he was my favorite teacher back in elementary school... I remember him VERY... VERY clearly.

Sam: *under his breath, half whispering to Sarah, half to himself* ... No way....

Harry: *he grips his knees tightly*

Sarah: *whispers back in a similar manner* ...This... is going to get interesting...

Claire: *notices Harry getting tense, and she put a hand over his, rubbing the back of his hand in an attempt to help him relax*

Key: *also tenses up similarly to Harry. She knew what was coming next* ...

Sam: *watches*

Harry: *relaxes, but only a little*

Defense Attorney: Please continue, Mr. Still.

Still: I'd always look forward to gym at Roosevelt Elementary... me, and ALL my friends... my friends who are dead now... who've been dead for a very long time... never avenged until now... I'm sure you all recall the day Roosevelt got blown to smithereens by that man... that MONSTER... that MONSTER who I TRUSTED!! And it STILL haunts me! I can HEAR them! HEAR my friends - their little voices - WHISPERING... WHISPERING in my head... I thought killing him would be enough to get them to stop... *his voice breaks* but NO... NO... NO... NO... no no no...

Defense Attorney: It seems clear from what Mr. Stills tells us, that, ironically, Mr. Stills may be psychotic, just like the man he killed, and therefore is not responsible for his crime.

Key: *suddenly stands up, nearly knocking her chair over* WHAT?!

Claire: !

Sarah: *holds her breath (no no no no no, mom, please sit down...!)--this is exactly what she feared would happen*

Sam: *he smiles in his sleep, snuggling back*

Sarah: *combs her fingers through his hair, hugging him close, sighing happily*

Sam: *still snuggling in his sleep, he mumbles again, this time close enough so Sarah can understand him* Mmmhh... Sarah... s'so nice out... today... hate the sand... though...

Sarah: *grins at this--he must be dreaming that they were at a beach somewhere... wondering how he'll respond, she keeps combing through his hair, and responds* Oh, we'll be fine when we get in the water...

Sam: *he mumbles out a slow, quiet laugh* Yeah... water'll... feel nice...

Sarah: *laughs a little bit at this, and keeps combing through his hair, still hugging him* I love you, you know that?

Sam: *he sighs blissfully* ...Love you... too...

Sarah: *nuzzles him lovingly, humming a nameless tune*

Sam: *he drowsily wakes up* Mmngh... oh... *he smiles at he a nuzzles back* I had a dream about you...

Sarah: *innocently* Oh? What was it about? :)

Sam: ... We were on a beach together... and then we walked into the water... gosh, it seemed so real...

Sarah: It sounds nice... maybe we could make it real someday. :)

Sam: *he smiles widely at her* ... maybe... *suddenly his smile turns into a frown* ... Trial today. You ready? Emotionally? <:(

Sarah: *remembers her dream from the night before... and nods* Yeah. I'm ready.

Sam: ... Alright... c'mon, we should get dressed and whatnot. *he gets out of the bed to find his shirt, coat, and tie*

Sarah: Right... *gets out of bed and also gets dressed, then goes into the bathroom to fix her hair* ...

Sam: *finds the top part of his suit and starts putting it on* ...

Sarah: *comes out of the bathroom* are you ready to go? <:/

Sam: *continues to squirm, trying to get away* HAHAHAHA - P-PLEASE! PLEASE!! S-STOP - AHAHAHA!! GYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Sarah: *grins, satisfied, and gets off him, laying back down on the bed next to him snickering* I did NOT know you were THAT ticklish! XD

Sam: *backs away from her on all fours, that devilish smile on his face again. Then, he pounces, knocking her over in order to tickle her out of revenge* Haha! >:D

Sarah: *yelps, and immediately tries to squirm away from him* AAH! NONONONONONOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA CUT IT OUT OH MY GOSH NONONOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA--!!

Sam: *over her laughing, still tickling her* WELL GOSH, SARAH - I DID NOT KNOW YOU WERE THAT TICKLISH! >:D

Sarah: *suddenly stops laughing* Haha, just kidding. *reaches up and simply starts tickling him again, though not as 'violently' as before* :3

Sam: Y-you're n-n-not t-ticklish?? Ahahahahaha! GAHAHAHA hahahahaha!!

Sarah: Nnnnnope. :3 *ceases the tickling, and leans up to give him a brief kiss* Don't worry, won't take advantage of that too often. ;)

Sam: *Lies there, panting, trying to catch his breath* H... how... how about... you don't take... take advantage of that... at ALL... huh...?

Sarah: Aww, you're no fun... but if you insist... <:P

Sam: I DO... Now then... can we go to sleep? DX

Sarah: Of course. :) *snuggles into him*

Sam: *snuggles back, smiling. He soon falls asleep*

Sarah: *snuggles a bit closer, closer to his warmth. she falls asleep there, smiling with him*

THE NEXT MORNING

Sam: *he's asleep, but shivering - the room was freezing*

Sarah: *wakes up first, and shivers, moving closer to Sam and putting her arm over him--though she feels like they're not the only people in the room*

Sam: *mumbles a bit in his sleep*

Ghost: *a faded image of a person seemed to appear in the doorway*

Sarah: *sees this out of the corner of her eye, and sits up, staring, squinting at the faint figure at the doorway, wondering if she was still dreaming* ...?

Ghost: *it fades away*

Sam: *still mumbles, shifting a bit in his sleep*

Sarah: *continues staring at the door, even after the faint image faded. Was it really there, or.... did she just imagine it? She looks down at Sam, and smiles a bit when she sees him asleep. She lays down and snuggles back into him, thinking that it was too early to get out of bed yet...*

Sam: Eyup. I feel better off that way. Why? Does this make you feel uncomfortable? :P

Sarah: Oh, no, not at all. In fact, I kind of like it. :P

Sam: *he raises an eyebrow at her, giving her a devilish grin* Oh? Do you now?

Sarah: *returns the grin* I most definitely do.

Sam: *still wearing the grin, he scoots over to her and climbs on top of her, kissing her neck* Do you like this...?

Sarah: *sighs at the small twinge of pleasure this gives her, and answers him quietly* Yes...

Sam: *he chuckles a bit, then kisses up her neck, and then on her mouth, holding the sides of her face in his hands*

Sarah: *kisses him back, lightly tracing the lines on his torso with her fingers* Mm...

Sam: *smiles into the kiss, trying not to laugh, as Sarah's tracing tickles him*

Sarah: *notices the change, and smiles as well; she moves her hands to his sides and lightly brushes her fingers against his skin, mentally smirking*

Sam: *with a yelp, he squirms away from her, scooting away from her to his side of the bed* Ohhh no. None of that. D8

Sarah: *laughs and gives him a wolfish grin, slowly creeping towards the other side of the bed* Looks like I found your weakness, Gatzsky.... :3

Sam: *gives her an awkward smile, laughing nervously* Ahah...eheheh... uh... I guess you did, Sarah... *he backs away from her until he's reached the very edge of the bed*

Sarah: *snickers, but stops moving towards him* Move back any farther and you'll fall off the bed... XD

Sam: D: ! *quickly scoots away from the edge of the bed, towards Sarah*

Sarah: Aha! >:3 *quickly pounces on top of him, and begins to tickle him* Caught you~ X3

Sam: *squirms under Sarah's ticking* NO NO SARAH DON'T - GAHAHAHAHA!! S-STOP! STOP!! HAHAHAHAHA!!

Sarah: *only continues to tickle him* What's the magic wooord~? :3

Sam: *had woken up as soon as Sarah started crying and now looks at her with a worried expression* Sarah...? You okay? D:>

Sarah: Y-Yeah, yeah, I'm fine... *rubs her tears away with her sleeve* J-Just a dream....

Sam: *he's combing his fingers through her hair again* ... Wanna tell me about it? <:(

Sarah: ... It was dad. H-He was in my dream... he came to visit me...

Sam: ... You must really miss him, huh? <:(

Sarah: *quietly* ...more than you can imagine... *even more quietly, her voice breaking* He was human, Sam... he turned human in my dream...

Sam: You dreamed him up as a human in your dream? D:> What do you think it means? <:/

Sarah: I... I don't know... m-maybe it wasn't a dream... maybe he was THERE...

Sam: *he sighs* Sarah... I know you're hurting and you miss him, but... but that's just not possible... <:(

Sarah: We thought the infection wasn't possible, either... who knows, Sam? Who knows...

Sam: *he can't argue against Sarah's statement, and instead just sighs, still combing his fingers through her hair*

Sarah: *sighs also, letting her eyes droop closed again* ...what time is it...?

Sam: Uhh... *he looks over at the clock* ... 2:42am.

Sarah: Wow, really? Uuugh... maybe we should actually get into BED...

Sam: Yeah... I guess we should. *he then picks her up with a grunt* I'll carry you. :P

Sarah: No, wait, you don't need to do that... D:

Sam: *With another grunt, he starts heading over to Sarah's room, pushing the door open with his shoulder* Too late, I'm doing it. :P *he then drops her on her bed*

Sarah: Hmph. *stays laying there on the bed, arms crossed, pouting* I have legs, you know. XP

Sam: ... And I have arms. :P *he takes off his suit's jacket, shirt, and tie, leaving his top bare, then gets into bed with Sarah, laying down next to her* And I'm not afraid to use them. XP

Sarah: *raises an eyebrow at him* Obviously not... *pulls off her jacket* Do you always sleep without a shirt? :P

Sam: *soon falls asleep there as well*

Later, In Sarah's Dream...

Todd: *he approaches Sarah, putting a hand on her shoulder from behind* Hey, Kiddo... <:)

Sarah: ! *turns around to face him, visibly excited* Dad..!! *her excitement quickly fades, turning back to sorrow upon seeing her father* ...

Todd: Sarah... why're you looking all gloomy like that, huh? D:>

Sarah: Because this isn't real... Because I know I'm going to wake up and you'll be gone again...

Todd: Sarah... *he gives her a sad smile and shakes her head* I'm not gone, Kiddo... and here's your warning - this is gonna sound cheesy as hell - *he pokes his finger right where her heart is* I'm in here. And I'm not leaving you - not until I'm good and ready... and I'm not good and ready yet.

Sarah: Heh... *gives him a sad smile* That WAS cheesy as hell... But I believe you.

Todd: Good. >:P *he messes up her hair* ... I didn't choose to die, Sarah... and I think I'm gonna have to tell your mom that tomorrow... it just... it happened, is all. And the one who did it... I don't blame him. Not at all. <:)

Sarah: *speaks as she fixes her hair* ...You don't? But he... he shot you out of NOWHERE...! How can you let that go so easily??

Todd: Well, death can bring a certain peace of mind... I can't be angry at that man, Sarah... especially not... well... you'll see in court.

Sarah: *raises an eyebrow at this--she knew he knew something... but she would wait until tomorrow* So... So why are you still here... n-not that I want you to leave...

Todd: ... I already told you, Kiddo... I'm not "good and ready" just yet... though... I DO think I'm ready to leave this place...

Sarah: ... *nods, understanding* ...Remember when you tried to... back in France...? We didn't want you to leave...

Todd: *he laughs a little* Yes, I remember - that doesn't mean I'm LEAVING leaving, Sarah - I'm just going to leave your dream now...

Sarah: Oh, heh, okay... You freaked me out of a moment there... will you um... come back? <:/

Todd: To your dream? Maybe. It's all up to you, Kiddo... *he opens his arms, offering a hug to her* <:)

Sarah: *runs into his arms like a little kid, hugging him tightly* ...I-I already miss you, you know... we all do...

Todd: *he hugs her back* ... I know, Kiddo, I know... don't think I wasn't with you today at the church... *he loosens his hug, though still hung onto her shoulders - he was human now, his blue eyes there, his skin a normal color. He gives her a sad smile*

Sarah: *is shocked into complete silence, eyes wide and her mouth hanging open--she couldn't believe it, she never thought she'd see him like... like that...*

Todd: *he chuckles a little, smiling warmly at her, then he fades away, just like that*

Sarah: *is left standing there, in complete shock, now missing her father even more*

Back in the real world...

Sarah: *wakes up to find her face feels wet (of course, I was crying. figures...) She looks up to see if Sam was still awake*

Sam: ... Stayed? Sarah... maybe it really WAS the wind... the wind, and your imagination... <:(

Sarah: ...Then how is it that Harry felt the exact same thing?

Sam: ... Dad's nuts, Sarah... of COURSE he'd think he's hearing Mr. Huntings... <:(

Sarah: ...Does that mean I'm crazy too? <:/ Crazy, delusional, something?

Sam: No! No, nothing like that - you just imagined it. That's all. <:(

Sarah: ...felt too real for that... *shakes her head* ...I don't know anymore, Sam...

Sam: Well... alright. We don't have to really think about it. It was just a weird thing that happened, okay? <:(

*they have arrived at the apartment building*

Sarah: Okay... *leads him into the building and up the stairs to her apartment, pulls out her keys, and opens the door, stepping aside to let him in*

Sam: *walks in after her* ... It's been a long day... I bet you're pretty tired, huh? <:( *he sits down - practically collapsing - on the couch*

Sarah: *locks the door and collapses into the couch next to him* Absolutely exhausted.

Sam: ... here... *he puts an arm around her waist and gently pulls her down until her head was on his lap*

Sarah: *doesn't protest--she reaches down and pulls her shoes off so she can put her feet up on the couch. she closes her eyes, tired*

Sam: *he smiles sadly at her, running his fingers through her hair, knowing she needs all the comfort she can get* <:)

Sarah: *smiles a bit at this, sighing at the feeling of his hand through her hair. his proximity made her feel a bit better--she knew she still had someone she could count on*

Sam: *he continues on with this, occasionally brushing some hair out of her face, then moves on to rubbing her back and shoulder, still smiling*

Sarah: *is completely relaxed there, resting on his lap. She looks up at one point, and gives Sam a tired, but grateful smile*

Sam: *he smiles back at her, resting his fingers on her cheek*

Sarah: *puts her hand over his, holding his fingers in place, and closing her eyes, still smiling* ...

Sam: *can feel his eyelids droop a little simply from watching Sarah close hers. He continues to watch her, hand never moving from her cheek*

Sarah: *eventually gives in to her exhaustion, and falls asleep there*
