Claire: I don't even know how that's possible. It's too big of a jump, honestly.

Harry: ... Getting a "second chance" or whatever. I don't believe he's actually "good" now. He's too damn evil to be good. >:(

Claire: Well, we'll see... I think it's best for us to keep an eye on him, though.

Harry: ... I already HAVE been...

Claire: ... *nods*

Harry: ... I hate how he's trying to be all friendly to Iratus... just... TAUNTING him like that...

Claire: Mmh... are you sure he's being taunting?

Harry: He is! He KNOWS he can't be Iratus's father, and yet makes it seem like he CAN be! It's horrible!

Claire: Well, you never know, he COULD be trying... Though you're right. I don't think he has any right to claim Iratus as his son anymore, he lost that chance.

Harry: Exactly! Someone other than HIM should take care of Iratus! >:/

Claire: Who else is there? Zorua wouldn't count, she's as much of a kid as Iratus himself is...

Harry: WE should take care of him! We should adopt him! >:/

Claire: Do you really think that's a good idea? I'm not sure if he's completely comfortable around me yet--and with that demon in your head...

Harry: We're better for him than LUCIFER is! D:<

Claire: Well, alright... another person we need to talk to tomorrow...

Middle of the Night

Harry: *he's sweating and crying* No... no, no, no...!

Claire: *tries to calm him through their mental link, trying to pull some of that fear away--though, because of this, she starts to get incredibly nervous* Shhh...

Harry: *he calms down a little, but he's still completely terrified and even more upset*

Claire: *hugs him even more tightly as more of his fear spills over into her mind--she wonders what the demon could be SHOWING him that could be so horrifying*

Harry: *at this point, Harry wakes up with a cry of horror. He hugs Claire back tightly, sobbing into her shoulder*

Claire: !! *the cry startles her, but as soon as she recovers, she hugs him back* Sh-Shhh... shhh, it's okay, it wasn't real...

Harry: I killed you, I killed you...!! *continues to weep into her shoulder, shaken up pretty bad*

Claire: *hugs him, combing her hand though his hair* shhh... Shhh, it's okay... I'm still here...

Harry: Oh god, Claire, I killed EVERYONE...!!

Claire: it didn't happen, Harry, it was just a dream...!

Harry: I HATE that frackING demon...!! I-I can't SLEEP...!!

Claire: Is there any way to fight him off...? D:>

Harry: No... or at least if there is, I don't know HOW...

Claire: *sighs* ...Maybe we should see if Lucifer has any idea... he seems to be the only one who knows about these things...

Harry: Is he...? He seems broken, from what you've told me...

Claire: ..Well, if he's going to tell anyone, it could probably be you... I think he's too upset with Key to speak to her...

Harry: ... We haven't talked much lately...

Claire: Mmh.. well, maybe now's a good time to change that.

Harry: Mhm... *he yawns* ... Tired. Must be from blood loss...

Claire: Sorry... I haven't been able to drink for a while... do you think you'll be okay sleeping? <:(

Harry: *he soon falls asleep and again, he is thrust into a nightmare world*

Claire: *refuses to fall asleep... she waits* ...

Shezmul: Y-YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS - I SWEAR IT! DB<

Claire: *hears Shezmul, but clearly ignores him--she just continues to drink, pleasing both herself and Harry*

Shezmul: *screeches at them then disappears*

Harry: *enjoys every second of Claire drinking from him*

Claire: *drinks for a little while longer, then releases his neck, licking up any stray drops of blood--she was getting better at this, and she now made much less of a mess*

Harry: *the effects of the trance still lingering, he's completely smiley and dazed, almost like a drunk. Almost*

Claire: *once she was sure his neck was clean, she nuzzles him, deciding to leave him in that state--at least it would keep Shezmul at bay for a little while longer...*

Harry: *he hugs her to him* Mmm... you're my... favorite vampire...

Claire: *laughs a bit, and hugs him back* And you're my favorite person~ X)

Harry: Yaaay... I... like favorites... favorites'r nice...

Claire: They sure are... *nuzzles into his shoulder, feeling quite comfortable* Do you have any other favorites?

Harry: ... Mmmhmmm... mmmy fav'rite friends'r Todd 'n Key... 'n my favorite son is Sam... though he's kinda... old right now...

Claire: Ah, but he's still your son... our son.

Harry: S'so weird, though... he's like... mmff... practically older than us almost... I think...

Claire: From what I can tell, he's about the same age we are...

Claire: *nods* I can see that... I think he might still see you as his father, though...

Harry: *puts his pillow over his head to try blocking out Shezmul*

Todd: *he just keeps sobbing. In his head, he knows how very alone he's become. Harry's too busy with Claire to talk to him. Iratus is just disconnected altogether. He can't speak to Sarah because of their history together and he can't speak to Sam for equal reasons - and Lucifer... well, it was obvious enough why Todd doesn't want to spend time with him. All he had was Key... all he had. And now she loves Altodd, not him. She wants to be with ALTODD, NOT HIM. It's all HIS FAULT, HIS FAULT for acting so freaking INNOCENT - but he's not innocent, he's a dirty fracking MONSTER, and Todd's heart has been ripped mercilessly in two because of HIM*

Claire: Then bother us some other time. >:/

Key: *continues her futile attempt to comfort him, even though she knows he can't hear her. it helped HER calm down, at least... but she hated the fact that this would be all she could think about for HOURS... even if she allowed herself to think about something else, Mehnit would just bring it right back to Todd...*

Shezmul: Hahaha... very well, overlander. For now, I will humor you and go back into Harry's mind. For now. *he disappears*

Harry: *under the pillow* FINALLY.

Claire: *huffs* Is he always that irritating? *lays down next to him, and puts an arm over him*

Harry: *takes his head out from under the pillow* In my head? Yes. Always.

Claire: Mmh... *nuzzles into his neck* Would you like a distraction?

Harry: *smiles at her* I'd like a distraction very much.

Claire: *smiles back* Let's kill two birds with one stone then, shall we? *gently tilts his head back, and kisses his neck*

Harry: *he shivers a bit, both in delight and fear - that feux fear that Shezmul dug into his mind*

Claire: *notices that fear--she nuzzles his cheek, and whispers, charming him* You have no reason to be afraid, Harry...

Harry: *his mind numbs a bit, though a panicked Shezmul tries fighting back and keeping him from getting charmed by the wench-vampire* ... I... I don't...?

Claire: *can feel Shezmul fighting back, and tries a bit harder* No you don't... We've done this before... remember how nice it feels?

Harry: *he's quickly succumbing to Claire against Shezmul's power* ... Mhmm... feels... very nice...

Shezmul: *comes out and hisses at Claire* STOP IT! STOP IT, VAMPIRE WENCH!

Harry: *dazed, his focus is completely on Claire. He doesn't even hear Shezmul*

Claire: *glances at Shezmul for a moment, not very fond of the insult, but quickly turns her attention back to Harry, still whispering* That's good... now, shh... *tilts his head back again, and leans down to bite*

Harry: *he sighs happily, enjoying the feeling, completely in a trance*

Shezmul: *shivers, feeling this as well* S-STOP - N-NO, DON'T DO THIS! D8

Claire: *ignores Shezmul, and drinks, enjoying the taste (she hasn't been able to feed for DAYS because of the demon)* Mm...

Claire: Right... I just wish they didn't feel the need to cause so much suffering...

Key: *looks over at Todd, bemoaning the fact that he can't put her to sleep--she would have to deal with Mehnit all night* ... *sits down next to him, and gently touches his cheek with the back of her fingers* ...

Mehnit: Tsk tsk tsk... Ah, I do wished I had arrived sooner... perhaps I would've had you realize your mistake sooner.

Key: *hisses* Shut up...

Harry: ... I'm tired right now... but I hate going to sleep... those freaking NIGHTMARES... suddenly I just DREAD sleep.

Todd: *he quietly begins to sob in his sleep, tears rolling down his cheeks. Even unconscious, he's still hurting quite badly*

Key: *feels like she's almost completely at fault--she leans over and rests her head on his chest, wishing she could take it all back, undo EVERYTHING...*

Mehnit: *figures Key can pull HERSELF into despair--she vanishes back into her host*

Key: *nuzzles into his shoulder, hoping he would at least LISTEN to her when he awoke... she feels the urge to cry, but tries to hold it back--though, as she expected, this proves completely useless and she cries anyway*

Claire: Then at least vanish and stop bothering us...

Claire: !! *steps forward and puts both hands on either side of Harry's face, trying to charm him the same way she did with Todd* Harry, if you don't calm down RIGHT NOW, that demon's going to take over you again and a LOT of people might get hurt. PLEASE, just BREATHE!

Everyone: ...

Harry: *he calms down, staring at Claire, hurt in his eyes. He's calm, but he's still upset. And this pleases Shezmul*

Everyone: ...

Claire: ...Okay... *hugs him* I'll tell you everything when we get back, okay? <:(

Everyone: ...

Harry: *quietly, shaking* ... Okay...

Iratus: *he picks up Altodd and carries him on his back, being the only one strong enough to do so*

Lucifer: *picks up and carries Todd*

Sam: *walks with everyone back to the city*

Everyone: *walks back to the inn*

Key: *is FUMING, even though she knew she couldn't let her anger get the best of her--but why is it always THIS? It's always the SAME PROBLEM!*

*they manage to get into the inn without anyone asking any questions about the seemingly-dead werewolf they carry with them. Mainly because the only undead awake at this point are the guards and Lord Bibentus, who already knows about Altodd's lycanthropy and doesn't seem to care much about it. Altodd is put in his and Shidako's room, on their bed, as Todd is put in his and Key's room the exact same way. Everyone heads to their own rooms*

Harry: *sits on the bed, still very upset*

Claire: Alright... *explains everything she saw, from when they first arrived up to when Harry woke up* ...Obviously, something happened between Key, Todd and Altodd that none of us got to see...

Altodd: *loses consciousness and falls over with a loud THUMP*

Lucifer: TODD HUNTINGS!!

Todd: *was about to leap at Claire and tear her guts out, but Lucifer's power-laced words brings him to a stumbling halt. He looks at Lucifer* ...

Lucifer: Sleep until the morning.

Todd: *falls alseep and falls over just as Altodd had*

Iratus: D:

Sam: ... Jeez... D:>

Iratus: (Why did they attack each other?) D:>

Necromancer 1: *let's out a choked gasp when he's impaled by Key's claws*

Todd: *slashes the second necromancer's throat out while he's still stunned*

Necromancer 2: !!! *falls to the ground and quickly dies*

Altodd: *he moves a bit forward and sniffs Shidako*

Key: *pulls her claws out, then lightly pushes the man back so he falls over. she glares at them hatefully, her eyes glowing more red than normal* ... ...

Shidako: *stays completely still, no matter how much she wanted to flee, or attack. she had to do this for everyone else's sake* ... ...

Todd: *he backs away from Key, still upset with her* ...

Altodd: *He recognizes Shidako. He whines, then licks her face*

Key: *looks over at Todd, then takes a deep breath to try to calm herself. She can't be angry with him--none of this was his fault* ...

Shidako: *is relieved but at the same time slightly grossed out. She smiles at him and tentatively reaches over to touch his cheek*

Todd: *hissing through his teeth* ... Why do you keep going back to him...? DB<

Altodd: *lets her*

Everyone: *somewhat relieved*

Key: Because there was no one ELSE... it HURT to be away from you, Todd... we BOTH hurt...

Shidako: *smiles a bit more widely, and rubs his neck*. X)

Todd: *glares hatefully at her* ... KEEP going back to him... been going back three times now... always HIM...

Altodd: *he nuzzles Shidako's cheek*

Everyone: *waits for Key to come back with Todd*

Key: ... No one else understood... No one else reminded me of YOU...

Todd: H-he took you... th-that's all he did... TAKE YOU... took you... *he shakes his head slowly, then stumbles back to where the others are. Not feeling well. Not feeling well at all*

Key: *silently follows him, mentally cursing Mehnit*

Todd: *he keeps walking until he reaches the others*

Altodd: *doesn't notice Todd. He's focused on Shidako*

Sam: Oh hey! They're back!

Lucifer: ...

Iratus: :D

Key: *arrives a few moments after him, looking quite upset* ...

Shidako: ... D:

Everyone: ?

Todd: *when he sees Altodd, he is possessed by inhuman rage. He walks over and picks up the werewolf's sword... then, without warning, he stabs Altodd in the side*

Altodd: *he roars in pain and rage and he picks up Todd by the face and throws him against a tree* GRAAOOOOOORRHH!!

Todd: *he crashes against the tree and slumps over onto the ground*

Altodd: *charges at Todd, not slowed by the sword in his side, and lifts him up again, this time by the hoodie, and smashes him back against the tree, roaring in his face*

Todd: *struggles, giving Altodd a hunter-like hiss*

Everyone: DDDD8 !!!!???

Shidako: D8!!!!!! *runs over and tries to pull Altodd away--though this proves difficult due to his size*

Claire: *also runs over, but goes to Todd instead, and tries charming him* Todd, please calm down...!

Todd: *he calms down, though only a little. He stops hissing but keeps struggling*

Altodd: *he drools, anger and pain in his eyes. He readies himself to tear Todd's throat out*

Iratus: *charges in and helps Shidako rip Altodd away from Todd*

Todd: *drops to the forest floor* URF!

Altodd: *slashes Iratus away*

Iratus: *yelps and backs off*

Lucifer: D8< !! ALTODD!!

Altodd: *this grabs his attention. He looks over at Lucifer*

Lucifer: *commanding him with his voice* Sit.

Altodd: *does*

Shidako: *blinks, surprised* W-Why didn't you do that earlier? D;

Zorua: *had fallen off Iratus' head when he charged over--she gets back up* DX

Claire: *huffs, and goes back to trying to calm Todd*

Todd: *screams at Claire angrily, getting back up on all fours*

Sam: Careful! D:>

Iratus: *looks back at Zorua* (Sorry!) D:

Lucifer: *At Shidako* I tend to only use my powers when absolutely necessary now... Altodd. Remove that sword from your side.

Altodd: *does and throws it to the ground. The sword glitters with his blood*

Zorua: (It's kay!) D;

Claire: --!! *backs away from Todd* ...

Shidako: *glances back and forth between Altodd and Todd* D:

Sarah: *really really wishes she had kept her mind powers--she would have intervened a lot sooner if she had*

Key: *watches, silent. of course, this was all her fault. again*
