Altodd: ... After tomorrow night. I'll let him take control after tomorrow night.

Shidako: ...Alright... Just make sure you can convince him to stay in control...

Altodd: What do you mean? <:/

Shidako: ...I'm afraid of what he might do. Just make sure he won't hurt anyone...

Altodd: ... He won't do anything, Shidako...

Shidako: ... *nods* I trust you.

Altodd: ... Thank you. I'll have to tell everyone else about my decision when I don't feel physically sick whenever I move even slightly.

Shidako: *nods* Maybe tomorrow morning... *gently combs her fingers through his hair* ...

Altodd: *he smiles sadly at her* ... I'm so sorry this had to happen...

Shidako: *smiles back* It's alright...

Altodd: *he scoots over and nuzzles her somewhat* I promise, I'll be back as soon as I can...

Shidako: *nuzzles back* Like I said, I believe you...

Altodd: Whatever you do, though... don't let him get to you.

Shidako: *pauses for a moment, then nods, kissing his forehead* I'll do my best.

Altodd: ... Good.

Meanwhile

Todd: *he waits impatiently for Key to return, pacing the room, paranoid. He doesn't realize that Altodd never actually went with her and he can't help but imagine them making out with each other in some hidden area behind his back, he shakes all over, praying for it to not be true - NO! No, he's thinking exactly like that demon WANTS him to think! He can't let her words get to him! Todd sits down on the bed with a sigh. He doesn't think he could bear it if it was true...*

Key: *comes back after a while, knocking on the door before coming in. she looks a bit tired, but is still in a good mood* Hey, Todd. ^^

Todd: Hahh...! H-heeeyy...! S-so how'd it go, with you and Altodd I mean? Kill anyone kinda nasty?

Key: There were a few monsters causing problems near the edge of the city, but it wasn't TOO hard... the job paid well, anyway. ^^; *flops onto the bed, tired* Oof... heh. Oh, and um, Altodd couldn't come. He got sick, he's been in his room all day, I'm guessing.

Altodd: ... I think it's because of how much he's let me become the dominant personality... he's just... a memory. Fading away.

Shidako: ...Would you be sad if he left?

Altodd: ... Will you get mad if I said yes?

Shidako: *shakes her head*

Altodd: Then... well, yes. I know it seems odd, but it's like he's... I dunno... my older brother or something... it's not like we always fight... I've had nice conversations with him... this just seems WRONG, though...

Shidako: *nods* I understand. <:(

Altodd: *quietly* ... He's the only family I really have...

Shidako: <:( ... *looks down* ...You have the rest of us...

Altodd: But that's different, Shidako, it's not - you're not... I mean, I LOVE you... and you're all my friends... but... it's just different, okay? A-and he's a good person on the inside - I KNOW he is, because he's ME, and I'm HIM...!

Shidako: *nods* ...then... is there any way to save him?

Altodd: ... Maybe putting him back in control for a while... but... I'm afraid of what he could do...

Shidako: It would be a dangerous thing to do... I don't think it's a good idea.

Altodd: ... It would be to save him, though...

Shidako: But what if he attacks someone? D:

Altodd: I'll be sure to hold him back. I promise you he won't do anything. And I'll make HIM promise the same.

Shidako: ...Are you SURE about this? D:>

Altodd: *notices Shidako's confused expression* S-sorry - the... the other-me, he just kinda... started ranting... in my head...

Shidako: ...He's still upset with me.

Altodd: ... He's always been upset with you, but he's always been upset about EVERYTHING...

Shidako: ...I see....... there is no reasoning with him?

Altodd: Well... he had to see the person he loved die twice...

Shidako: ...And that was also my fault. His anger is justified. <:(

Altodd: ... You were... you weren't in the right mind back then...

Shidako: ...But it was still me, right?

Altodd: ... No, you're different now... you know better... you're... more CONTROLLED...

Shidako: It would seem so... but does HE believe that?

Altodd: ... He doesn't believe anyone. He's stubborn. Stubborn and furious.

Shidako: ...Then maybe one day, he'll learn to control himself too.

Altodd: ... ... If he doesn't rot away first...

Shidako: *confused* ...rot away...?

Altodd: ... He's dying, Shidako... and I think that once he's gone... that's it. He doesn't... GO anywhere... he just ceases to exist...

Shidako: .....Do you know why this is happening to him? <:/

Altodd: D:> ... That... that wasn't your fault either... you had every right to be angry with us...

Shidako: But that didn't give me the right to attack you. If I had controlled myself, Key's mind would still be free, and I would still have my eye.

Altodd: ... Sometimes feelings can be very hard to control... and then we lash out and do things we later regret... from my recovered memories alone, I can tell you that I know someone who has made that same mistake...

Shidako: *knows exactly who he means. she holds her arms open, offering a hug* <:(

Altodd: *he hugs her* ... You're fine, Shidako...

Shidako: *hugs him* and so are you.

Altodd: *he smiles at her, nuzzling her a bit* ... Thank you...

Shidako: *smiles back, and kisses his nose* And you as well... <3

Altodd: Oh - Oh frack - I need to - hang on, I need to use the bathroom again - D;> *lets go of Shidako and quickly runs to the bathroom to vomit*

Shidako: *waits patiently* <:(

Altodd: *eventually walks out of the bathroom* Sorry... Ugh...

Shidako: Don't apologize.... maybe you should lay back down? <:(

Altodd: *drags himself over to the bed* M'kay... *he gets into the bed and lies on his back*

Shidako: *sits next to him, stroking his cheek with the back of her fingers* ...

Altodd: ... *he smiles at her, appreciating the gesture* ... I'll be fine... just gotta endure tomorrow night...

Shidako: I'm sure you'll pull through... you've managed to every other time...

Altodd: Well, it's not like I have a say in the matter... stop calling her that, it's been a while since that happened. That was wrong. You shouldn't have done it and - no you're NOT justified! D:<

Shidako: .... D:/ ???

Altodd: I seriously hate it - just - aahhhgh... unbearably painful transformations every goddamn week and always the chance that I'll kill someone...

Shidako: At least we have the forest nearby... you can hunt the wild beasts instead... <:/

Altodd: ... But you want to come along... I'm afraid of hurting you...

Shidako: I'll be fine... I can take care of myself.

Altodd: ... Doesn't mean I can't still worry... I mean, I was worried ENOUGH when Mikaela was the one handling me...

Shidako: But you never hurt her, right? She's still in one piece as far as i can tell...

Altodd: ... It's still a scary thing... that feeling of no control... like getting DRUNK, but it's far more dangerous to everyone around me... I'm... afraid of change...

Shidako: ...I know you can deal with this... You've dealt with worse...

Altodd: ... Truthfully, is that other side of me as bad as lycanthropy...?

Shidako: ...It was more frightening because it was harder to tell who was in control... to me, at least...

Altodd: ... I'm sorry again about what happened before...

Shidako: ...It's fine. It wasn't your fault, it was mine.

Altodd: You were just STANDING there, Shidako - it wasn't your fault. <:(

Shidako: ...? Oh--I thought you were talking about--never mind, then... but that one wasn't your fault either, it was HIS. <:/

Altodd: He was just... very upset. Not that it wasn't wrong. What were YOU talking about? D:

Shidako: *touches the bandages over her eye* This.

Key: *nods* Feel better. <:( You want any help getting back to your room, or...?

Altodd: No, I think I'm fine - you go. You're already late enough. <:/

Key: Alright... I'll see you later, then. <:( *leaves to go see Bibentus*

Altodd: *stumbles back to his room, undresses, and crawls into bed, moaning a bit. He snuggles against Shidako*

Shidako: *snuggles back, still asleep* mm... <3

Altodd: *runs his fingers through her hair, nuzzling her* ... <:)

Shidako: *nuzzles back, smiling slightly, purring quietly* <33

Altodd: *feels a wave of nausea* !! *quickly gets out of bed and locks himself in the bathroom so that he may vomit*

Shidako: *is woken up by the sudden movement when Altodd gets out of bed* ...?

Altodd: *uses the toilet for a while before cleaning himself off and stumbling back out* Oh... 'morning Shidako...

Shidako: Good morning... not feeling well? <:(

Altodd: Uhgh... No... gonna be a werewolf tomorrow night...

Shidako: Oh... oh, already? D:>

Altodd: ... The moon schedule's kinda fracked up here... <:/

Shidako: I noticed. Last full moon was barely a week ago. <:/

Altodd: ... Change of any kind scares me...

Key: Well... besides the Umbra, does it feel like anything ELSE is different? <:/

Altodd: ... Not yet. Not... not yet.

Key: ...Okay. Hopefully it'll stay that way. <:(

Altodd: Hopeful - HUHGHAD - *he bends over and suddenly vomits* Auuhhgh... ohh god...

Key: AAH! How did--W-What happened? D8>

Altodd: Uhhgn... *leans against the wall* Fuuuck... full moon must be tomorrow then... gotta keep track of these things...

Key: Remind me to take you straight out to the forest after work.....

Altodd: ... Shidako wants to come with us, though. We'd need to go get her first...

Key: I could go get her and you could run ahead, just to be safe...

Altodd: That could work.

Key: *nods* So... You think you'll be okay now? We're running a little late. <:/

Altodd: Gah, maybe... you know I get sick before a full moon, though... I dunno... maybe I should stay here for today... DX

Key: Alright, good idea... <:( I'll tell Bibentus, then...

Altodd: Yup. You know, I can really feel my connection to the Umbra now... it's kinda creepy.

Key: Like.... how so? Do they talk to you, or just kinda... hang out in the back of your mind? Like Mehnit? She does both. :I

Altodd: ... No. I feel like thousands of them are here with us right now, flooding the halls. Like... they have a string, and that string is tied to me, and all these strings tug on me slightly as they move around...

Key: Wow... That's kind of strange, I have to admit... is it a BAD creepy, or does it just feel strange...?

Altodd: ... Just... y'know... WEIRD... did the other-me have this much control ever...?

Key: I... I dunno, he never really talked about it... <:/

Altodd: ... I don't think he did... he barely had any control over HIMSELF...

Key: *nods silently. she was well aware of that*

Altodd: ... Sometimes he visits me in my dreams... but only sometimes...

Key: ...Does he say anything?

Altodd: ... No... but maybe he can't... he looks much worse now... his cheeks have completely rotted away and his jaw has been unhinged from his face a bit... and his EYES... they've sunken far into his sockets... he looks like a monster.

Key: ...Do you think he's fading away?

Altodd: ... Maybe... but that kinda makes me sad... which is kinda weird.

Key: I see how you'd feel that way... I mean, he IS a part of you...

Altodd: ... When he fully fades away... will I change?

Key: ....I don't know... maybe you've already changed, but it's been so gradual, no one's noticed? I really doubt you'll suddenly become a different person... <:/

Todd: *he's tempted to ask her about Altodd but doesn't. Instead he grabs her and rolls over so she's on top of him* X3

Key: *yelps, surprised, but then just laughs, nuzzling him affectionately* <3

Todd: *also laughs and nuzzles Key back, touching his nose against hers and smiling warmly* Sorry about the beard. There really haven't been moments in which I could shave...

Key: *smiles back* Aww, that's alright... I don't really mind it. ^^ *kisses his cheek*

Todd: *smiles at her* So... thinking of getting up yet?

Key: *pouts* I don't want to. :c

Todd: You gotta go work with... um... Altodd... though. <:P

Key: I knooow.... Mrrrrrggh, fine. XP *kisses his nose, then gets up*

Todd: Just remember, Key! Every time you go work, you're letting us all stay here another day! XP

Key: *getting ready to go out* Yeah, yeah, I know... :P

Todd: We can find jobs around here - don't you worry. Then we'll be able to pay for our own rooms. <:P

Key: Eh, I'm not too sure about that... I think we'll be able to keep this up for a while, don't YOU worry. <:P

Todd: Fine, fine, you go work. Don't go making out with Altodd while you're gone. XP

Key: *raises an eyebrow at this* Now that would be pretty rude of me, don't you think? I'll see you later. :P *leaves the room*

Todd: *waves when she leaves* Byyee! *waits until she's gone* ... Bye... <:/ *he sighs heavily*

Altodd: *having gotten ready, he goes out to meet Key*

Key: *meets him* Well, Hello there. Ready to go?

Todd: *growling* Y'know, I SHOULDN'T believe you, because I know you must have a ton of experience with pissing people off. D8<

Mehnit: Oh, making you angry is not my intention--To tell you the truth, I hate it when people try to keep secrets from me... If you won't believe ME, why not ask HER?

Todd: No! That - that'll just be awkward! I could hurt her feelings, like, I would look like I don't trust her! D:>

Mehnit: But doesn't it hurt knowing that she doesn't trust YOU? There are a lot of things she isn't telling you... The reason I possessed her in the first place, for example?

Todd: Okay, just shut up! Like, right now! Seriously! I'm gonna try figuring out how to force myself to sleep like Lucifer can do! >:(

Mehnit: Good luck with that. I'll leave you to it, then.... *vanishes back into Key. she's done enough for tonight...*

Todd: *tries thinking himself to sleep (whatever that means) and completely fails. He's left wondering if Menhit really is right - but his questioning always jerks back to his blind faith in Key*

The Next Morning

Todd: *leans over and whispers at Key to wake up*

Key: *wakes up, and smiles at him* Good morning...

Todd: *gives her a cheery smile, as usual* G'morning, Key. ^^ *he smile falters a bit, that doubt still lingering in his mind, but he quickly shuts it up by giving Key a quick peck on the cheek*

Key: *laughs a bit, and kisses him back* Thanks again.

Todd: I don't think I could live with myself knowing I can make you sleep really nice and comfortably but just letting you suffer. <:P

Key: Well, I really appreciate it. <3 *nuzzles him* X)

Todd: *nuzzles her back* <3 ... Oh, hey, you need to go see the vampire guy. :/

Key: *buries her face in his chest. her voice comes out muffled* Yeah, I knooow... it's still a bit early, though...

Todd: Heheh... Alright then, stay for a while. <3

Key: *still muffled* yaaaay. X)
