Eel monster: *is quite fed up with having those claws in his skin, and finally manages to throw her off*

Shidako: *is sent sailing through the water, a significant distance away from them, flailing about to try to straighten herself out* DDDD8

Eel monster: *spots the now-helpless attacker, and lunges towards her, mouth agape, ready to eat her in one bite*

Todd: DDD8 *leaps at the eel at full strength, rocketing at it, then slashes its side before it can get to Shidako* D8<

Everyone: DDDDDDDDDDDDD8

Shidako: *finally lands, but is stuck on the other side of the monster, alone. She pulls out the electrified weapon and activates it, knowing that could probably be the only thing that would keep it away* D8

Eel Monster: !!?? *snarls in pain, looking for its attacker. spotting Todd, it swipes its tail at him, smacking him hard enough to send him rocketing back to the others* SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWRGH!! DDDDDDB<

Everyone: D8!!!

Todd: *crashes into the sand near the others, bruised and half-conscious* ...Mmssffgh...

Harry: ... That thing dies. NOW. DB< *readies his weapon*

Iratus: (Oh no, don't! It will only hurt you to!) D:>

Sam: Then what do we do?? D:

Eel monster: *while the others were distracted by Todd, it turns its attention back to Shidako--much easier prey now that she was separated from the others. It draws closer, hissing angrily when it sees that she has one of those electric weapons as well* SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Shidako: *holds her weapon out on front of her, trying to keep the beast at bay--though she felt it wouldn't last very long* D8

Zorua: Well, we can't let it eat her...!! D8

Sarah: Then we should get it RIGHT NOW, while it's DISTRACTED! D:

Iratus: *CHARGES AFTER THE EEL WITH A LOUD ROAR* SNRROOOAAARRGH!! DDDD8<

Harry: *runs/swims after it as best as he can* D8<

Sam: *charges after it*

Todd: *still dazed*

Everyone: *CHARGES*

Eel: !!?? *turns to look at the loud noise, and snarls right back at Iratus, ready to attack them when--*

Shidako: *takes her opportunity and stabs the weapon into the monster's side*

Eel: *practically shrieks in pain as it is electrocuted*

Iratus: *stays well away from the monster while it is being electrocuted, having enough sense to know what would happen if he were to bite him or claw him NOW*

Everyone: D8<

Todd: *unconscious*

Shidako: *drives the sharp ends of the weapon into the beasts' body, then backs away* >:C

Eel: *continues to shriek in agony until eventually, the noise turns into a feeble gurgle, and it flops down onto the sea floor, dead*

Sarah: ...Nice shot. o___o

Claire: Well done, Shidako. o_o

Harry: I'm glad it died a painful death. Wouldn't have had it any other way. >:/

Sam: Do you want ANYTHING that hurts Todd to die...? D:

Iratus: *huffs and heads back over to the group*

Claire: *deactivates her weapon* Well, we'd better go make sure Todd's okay. <:/

Sarah: *nods, and deactivates her own weapon, then heads over towards Todd*

Zorua: *turns off her weapon, and looks over at the beast* ... I wonder if they get any bigger...

Shidako: *turns off the electric pointy thing before yanking it out of the monster* I wonder if this thing would still taste like fish.

Harry: *deactivates his weapon and runs back over to Todd, checking him over* ... He's bruised... but that's all I know from simply looking at him. That thing could have given him brain damage or something! D8<

Todd: *he turns his head, then opens his eyes, still feeling rather groggy* Msswhat happened...?

Sam: Oh! The eel hit you when you were trying to save Shidako - you blacked out. D:

Iratus: *nods* D:

Sarah: Does anything feel broken? D:

Zorua: *occasionally looks over her shoulder to make sure the thing stayed dead* ...

Claire: *starts wondering if this job was worth it* ...

Todd: Nah... at least, I think nothing's broken. It doesn't FEEL broken, and I KNOW when something's broken. So no. I'm fine. :P

Harry: Good. D:

Sam: I'm guessing that was the worst thing we could face, so now everything will seem easier in comparison. :)

Claire: Mmh... we should keep an eye out for any more monsters... it's way too quiet down here for an ocean floor.

*The elevator door opens, and into the armory they go. There are a few miners there. They stare at the group in slight fear and anger*

Harry: *ignoring them* So...

Mining Captain: Wetsuits over there, breathing devices over here. Weapons at the end of the hall. All of them are electrical and must be turned off when not in use. When they ARE in use, keep them away from your body.

Todd: How do the breathing thingies work? They look like half a choker... D:

Mining Captain: It's a mixture of magic and technology. They are gills that you wear.

Sam: Interesting...

Iratus: (Will one fit on me?)

Mining Captain: They come in extra extra large, and even if it's too big it will tighten to fit your neck size.

Zorua: ...cool. o___o

Claire: I guess that means we should go suit up, then.

*they do so*

*then they enter the flood chamber. The room fills with water after the door to the armory locks shut behind them. When the room fills, the door to the mining area opens. The landscape is dark and covered in seaweed. The only sign of the mine is the faint blue glowing up ahead*

Harry: Holy shoot... I can BREATHE! We can ALL breathe! ... Right? D:

Todd: Yeah, and talk underwater - though your words are coming out like, a second earlier, Harry. D:

Sam: Sound moves faster underwater.

Harry: Right.

Iratus: (This feels strange.)

Harry: Iratus can speak like he does on land because he think-talks.

Claire: We should probably go--the faster we start working, the faster we get paid.

*they all walk towards the mine*

Harry: Do you get the impression that they're trying to kill us?

Claire: *is caught off guard by her sudden loudness* Sarah, are you alright...? D:/

Everyone: *pulls their weapon out, and keeps alert*

*a low rumbling is heard--it seems to be coming from all around them, and it's getting louder*

Harry: No shoot. But hey, we've faced worse, right? Anything that's coming now can't be as bad as what we faced on the Blank Space.

Iratus: *looks around wildly for whichever direction the rumbling is coming from*

Shidako: *sniffs the water (wow, that sounds weird)* ...It's... !!! *turns around just in time to see--*

Giant Eel Monster: *is basically an oversized eel, with massive jaws and a full set of sharp teeth. it had been trying to catch them off-guard by sneaking behind them, but its attempt had obviously failed--it roars viciously, baring every single one of its sharp teeth*

Everyone: D8

Harry: Right - *almost transforms - he then realizes he'd break his suit and breathing device* shoot. D8< *gets out the weapon from the armory, turning it on. It gives off electric sparks*

Sam: *does the same* D8

Todd: *readies his claws* shoot'S GONNA GET REAL! If we don't make some freaking unagi sushi after this, I am going to be a VERY unhappy Todd! D8<

Iratus: *same* D8>

Shidako: *readies her claws*

Everyone else: *pulls out their weapons*

Eel Monster: *lunges towards them, snapping his jaws closed*

Everyone: *SCATTERS* D8

Shidako: *jumps on the monster, digging her claws into its skin* D:<

Iratus: *tackles into the eel with a roar*

Todd: *leaps at it, slashing at its back*

Harry: *stays back for now*

Sam: *swings at it with his electric weapon*

Eel: *tries to shake off its assailants, but seems to regard the electrified weapons with fear--it rears back, away from the weapons*

Shidako: *hangs on to the monster's back* O__________O;;;;

Sam: !! D8 *swings at the eel again* Just keep hanging on, Shidako! Same to you, Todd!

Harry: *swings at the eel* D8<

Iratus: *tries to grab at it and hold it still*

Claire: *tries to stab at the beast with her own weapon* D:<

Sarah: *also tries to find an opening and stab the monster*

Zorua: *can't seem to find an opening--the monster was moving too much, and she didn't want to risk electrocuting someone* D8

Shidako: *HANGS ON*

Eel: GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWR!! *roars in pain from the elecrtic weapons, and in annoyance from the clawed THINGS that won't let go of it--it flails about, trying to throw off the two on its back and the one grabbing at it, and perhaps keep the others at bay as well*

Todd: AAHH I DON'T LIKE IT, I DON'T LIKE IT!! DX

Iratus: *isn't able to get a good hold on the eel* D8

Harry: Christ - we're never gonna kill this thing! D8< *stabs at it*

Sam: Careful! You might hit Todd or Shidako! D:

Sarah: We need to get them off--HEY, CAN YOU GUYS SWIM??

*the arrive at a large building shaped like a conch shell. A sign in front identifies it as the "Head Office"*

Harry: *opens the door for everyone else*

Crab Monster: *Sitting at his desk in the only room in the office. There is a little plaque on the desk labeled "Head Fish" ... ... May I help you?

Claire: ...We're neutral travelers, and we would like a place to stay. Would you be able to help us?

Head Fish: I guess I have to ASSUME you're neutral since you were able to get in... though really, you can't stay anywhere without any money. No free passes here, no matter who or what you are.

Harry: Is there any work for us to do?

Head Fish: Well... we do need help in the mines.

Harry: Mines? In the middle of the sea? D:/

Head Fish: *scoffs* They're UNDERWATER mines, of course.

Harry: Uh... if the mines are underwater, how will we work? We can't breathe underwater. D:

Head Fish: Some of the more mammal-like creatures here use gill-like apparatuses to help them breathe. I'm sure you can borrow a few. The elevator to the mines are located to the farthest left from my office. You'll know it when you see it. Lots of workers going in and out. It's just a lone giant elevator with a drain surrounding it.

Harry: Alright. Thank you. *heads out*

Todd: *heads out with Harry*

You get into the elevator - it will take you to the armory outside the city's underwater facility. Your clothes don't look waterpoof anyway, so it's best to change into some more protective gear. And for the love of Pete, get yerselves some waterproof weapons! We've been dealing with a whole mess of underwater nuisances!

Mining Captain: Oh, the usual threats - shark-trolls, giant eels, mad-fish. All those sort. They're attracted to the stuff inside the mines - anima alcyoneum, "soul-coral".

Sam: What's that do?

Mining Captain: It's TOP SECRET, THAT'S WHAT IT DOES! Now get yer asses moving into that elevator! Suit up! We're leaving soon! D:<

Everybody: *trudges into the elevator. It closes without warning, and soon the group descends once more*

Sarah: ...Why do I get this feeling that something's going to go wrong? D;

*and then the elevator stops. The doors open, revealing an indoor city. It is all protected by unbreakable glass walls, the ceiling painted with beautiful pictures of dolphins and fish and mermaids. There are shops everywhere, homes, hotels, and at the very far end of it, the office of whoever may be in charge of this Atlantis-like place*

Todd: ... Pretty. :D

Sarah: Oh wow... *looks around in wonder*

Zorua: *is speechless* :O

*they walk along the path - a path that appears to be a mile long - until they finally reach the beautiful dome-like city. Water City*

Harry: We're not citizens - we're a neutral party of travelers.

Claire: We only need a place to stay.

Harry: Proof? We're a group of people consisting of a vampire, a dead-looking human, a horned demon, a dragon-woman, a shape-shifting animal thing and three humans including myself. We're about as diverse as it comes here in a world where APPARENTLY, you guys can't stand each other.

Guard: ... Alright. Fine. Follow me. *leads them onto a pathway around the dome until they reach the backside - there is an elevator built into the back of the dome. The guard ushers them inside*

Key: *leads him to the bathroom, grabbing his spare clothes off the table as she passes it, and closes the door behind him, hoping he'll be able to do so on his own in this state of shock*

Altodd: *he stares blankly at his reflection in the mirror for the longest time before finally beginning to slowly clean himself, scrubbing the blood off*

Key: *leans back against the bathroom door, waiting* ...

Two people: *are arguing a bit farther down the hall--they get louder until they reach the door, at which the argument comes to abrupt stop... then there is a loud knock*

Key: ...? *goes to answer the door* --!!

Raptor: *is standing just outside, murder in his eyes* Where is he?

Mikenno: *is standing right behind him, looking like he's ready to grab the furious Mobian at any moment* ...

Altodd: *he hears Raptor from inside the bathroom. He pauses in his scrubbing, scared of what may happen*

Key: *her voice is low, her hand gripping the door frame--she could tell by the tone of his voice what he intended to do* ...He's getting ready... What do you want with him?

Raptor: *through his teeth* I'd return the goddamn favor it I knew it wouldn't get me fracking killed.

Raptor: *snaps at the dragon* You shut up, Mikenno, you have no idea what this is like--*to Key* Tell him to come out here.

Altodd: ... *he manages to get the blood off his face, his arms, his chest, his everywhere. He then quickly gets dressed* ...

Key: *glares at the bird, not moving from her spot* I'm not going to let you hurt him.

Raptor: *yells at her* HE DESERVES IT! Don't you realize that he's DOOMED US ALL? D8<

Mikenno: *more sternly* Raptor--

Raptor: *snaps at him again* SHUT UP!

Altodd: *he decides that hiding won't solve anything. He quietly exits the bathroom, the only sound made being the creaking of the door*

Raptor: ! *snaps his head towards him, glaring murderously at him. If looks could kill, Altodd would have become a pile of ash. He tries to push past Key*

Key: *is not about to let the angry Mobian anywhere near Altodd. being much stronger than him, she is able to stand her ground and shove him back*

Raptor: !? *turns his glare towards her, hissing* Move.

Key: *through her teeth* No.

Altodd: *quietly. He feels somewhat threatened* ... I'm sorry, Raptor...

Umbra: *two appear, standing in the open doorway, waiting to see if Raptor will attack*

Raptor: !!? *steps AWAY from the Umbra, nearly having been the unfortunate victim of one back when they ran rampant. he glares back and forth between Key and Altodd, speaking quietly, obviously suppressing his rage* Have you seen any Canoui lately?

Key: ... *shakes her head slightly*

Raptor: That's because their medic was killed. They're all DYING OUT, and now, so will WE--because of HIM!
