Harry: She's human now, Todd. :)

Todd: Hu - WHAT? Human! HUMAN! Good for you, Claire! :D

Zorua: :D!! Oh my gosh, Ira needs to see you. o___o

Harry: ... Let's not force him to come out and see - he should do that on his own. D:

Todd: Yeah, well... yeah. <:P *gives Zorua a random, friendly, one-armed hug*

Zorua: *happily accepts the hug, leaning into Todd slightly* I knoooow. :P

Claire: *notices this, and tilts her head curiously, wondering what was up. she quickly dismisses it* Sooo... is anyone else up?

Sam: *stumbles into the main room* Hey... *rubs an eye, yawning*

Harry: You're up earlier than usual.

Sam: Eh, I just... I dunno... blah. M - Claire, you look... not dead. What happened? D:

Claire: I took some of the same potion we gave Iratus. It made me, ummm... not-dead. ^^;

Zorua: Weeeeird, right? :o

Shidako: *comes out of her room, already dressed and wide awake* Hello...

Todd: *turns to see her* Hey, Shidako! :D

Sam: *wonders why Todd's so enthusiastic about seeing Shidako up* :/ ?

Claire: *doesn't really think anything of it* Good morning. ^^

Zorua: *waves at Shidako*

Shidako: Good morning... *looks closely at Claire* ...You seem different.

Claire: I'm human again. ^^

Todd: This is great! I feel like today's gonna be awesome because of how well it's started out! :D

Iratus: *walks out of his and Zorua's room, still somewhat sleepy. He sees Claire and completely freezes up* !!!

Zorua: Yeah! She took the potion and now she's not a vampire anymore!

Shidako: *waits for Iratus' reaction*

Iratus: *he's still incredibly wary of Claire. He keeps absolutely silent*

Shidako: ... :/

Claire: D:> ... *looks down at her feet, feeling like she's failed him somehow* ...I did this for you, Iratus...

Sarah: *comes out of her room, rubbing her eyes, and is about to say "good morning" until she sees everyone's expressions and remains silent, confused* ... >_>;

Iratus: (I-I can't... I-I just... CAN'T... y-you SCARE me...!) *he then retreats into his room*

Iratus: *soon falls asleep after Zorua, feeling good. Feeling happy*

Claire: ...I am? I don't feel any... different... *suddenly realizes that her hunger is subsiding. she looks at her hands--they weren't nearly as pale as they were before* ... <:D!!

Harry: *now that he knows the potion isn't hurting Claire, he allows himself to smile at her, hugging her tightly*

Claire: *hugs him back just as tightly, beyond relieved--she was normal again. she was herself* Oh my god... it worked...!

Harry: No more feeding, yeah... perhaps now Iratus will act less RUDE to you...

Claire: Perhaps... *sighs* We'll find out in the morning, I guess. We should probably do what everyone else is doing and get some sleep...

Harry: Alright then... *he crawls into bed, feeling more exhausted than he realized*

Claire: *gets into bed next to him, extremely pleased by the fact that she doesn't feel the need to bite his neck anymore. she snuggles into him, putting an arm over him and hugging him close* <3

Harry: *he hugs her back* ... Oh wow... it's so strange to hear your heart beating again...

Claire: ...Heh... it feels strange... I missed it.

Harry: *nuzzles her* Well... good thing you've taken that potion, then. <3

Claire: *nuzzles him back, and kisses his cheek* Sure is... <3

Harry: Mm... let's go sleep, now... *he closes his eyes and soon falls asleep*

Claire: *quickly follows suit*

The Next Morning

Harry: *is still quite asleep*

Claire: *wakes up, feeling much more rested than usual. she combs her fingers through his hair, waiting for him to wake up*

Harry: *he nuzzles her a bit in his sleep, then, soon, he drowsily wakes up* ... Mmnn... g'morning, Claire... how'd you sleep?

Claire: *smiles at him* Pretty well, actually. Best sleep I've had in DAYS. *kisses him, then gets out of bed* We should see if the others are awake. :D

Harry: YOU'RE rather happy today... I mean yes, obviously, since you're human again, but still... strange to see you all smiley like this. :) *gets up out of bed and gets dressed*

Claire: Nothing wrong with being smiley. :P *is already ready* Are you done~?

Todd: You... y-you have... good - good, give it to Iratus! D:

Harry: *nods. He steps over to Iratus... then pauses* ... Claire... do you want to do it?

Sam: *watches in silence* ...

Claire: ... *nods. she steps over to Iratus, and kneels next to his head. she tilts his head up, and opens his mouth, pouring the pink liquid down his throat* ...

Zorua: *watches anxiously from Todd's arms* ...

Shidako: ...

Iratus: *it takes a while, but soon he is coughing and hacking - TWITCHING as the potion grew back all that he has lost*

Todd, Harry and Sam: :D !!!

Zorua: <:D!! *leaps out of Todd's arms, and goes to stand by Iratus again, turning to her human form*

Claire: !! *stands up, but stays close by*

Sarah: :D!!

Shidako: :D!!

Iratus: *is being fixed* NAUUHHGH...!! GNNNK-K...!!

Todd: ... Right... it kinda hurts... D:

Harry: Well, at least he's going to be okay.

Zorua: *pets his uninjured arm, waiting for him to regain consciousness* ...

Claire: *watches, waiting* ...

Iratus: *he soon fully heals. Iratus drowsily opens his eyes* hnnr...?

Iratus: (Alright, Zorua.) *he curls up on the bed and closes his eyes, trying to fall asleep*

Claire: ... *starts drinking the potion--almost as soon as she tastes it, she wants to spit it right back out, but she perseveres. as she drinks, she has an incredible urge to vomit, to get that disgusting substance out of her body, but she forces it down, until she's downed the entire bottle. she puts the empty bottle down on the table, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand* Good god, that was absolutely disgusting...

*they arrive at the hospital*

Harry: *to the secretary* We're looking for a particular doctor that we went to yesterday.

Secretary: Oh right - Doctor Tizbee. Hold on. *picks up the phone and dials a number* Hello? Doctor Tizbee? Some people from the strange group you helped are back and would like to see you. *a pause* Alright. *puts down the phone* His room is B24.

Harry: Alright... thank you. *walks there with Claire*

Harry: Well, he certainly had no problem with using the potion on Todd, then telling us what it's made of. Perhaps he trusts the law enforcement in this city.

Doctor: *opens the door* ... Come in.

Harry: *with Claire, he does*

Doctor: Why are you here?

Iratus: *he shivers, the blood loss and pain making him involuntarily do so* (Wh-why... wh-why won't the pain just... stop...?) *he weakly looks around at everyone staring at him, the same levels of horror reflecting off their faces. Then he sees Claire. His mind is fogged with pain and his dying state. When he speaks, his voice is faded, distant...* (... Mother...?) *his heart stops beating. He no longer breathes. He is dead, staring off into the distance blankly*

Todd: *is completely horror-struck, especially when he looks at Claire, then back at Iratus, who had mistaken the vampire for his mother* D8 ... ...

Harry: *quietly* ... Oh god...

Sam: *squeezes Sarah's hand tightly* D8> ...

Claire: *tears start welling up in her eyes--it feels like her heart was just shattered into a million pieces by that single word. she kneels next to his head, closing his eyes* ...I'm sorry... I'm so sorry...

Zorua: *breaks down into sobs*

Sarah: *can only watch* D8>

Shidako: ... *bows her head respectfully, taking her helmet off*

Harry: ... *quietly* C'mon... let's take him back to the hotel room...

Todd: *sniffling, he helps drag Iratus to the entrance to the armory*

Sam: *also helps*

Harry: *helps, though isn't of much use with only one arm*

Iratus: *dead*

Everyone: *after getting out of their equipment, they all help drag Iratus to the elevator*

Claire: *can't even bear to look at him*

Zorua: *is still crying*

*the elevator rises up. Without a problem, the group manages to get the body to the hotel room, placing Iratus on his bed*

Sam: *he cries silently*

Shidako: ...he did not deserve this.

Zorua: *cries inconsolably*

Claire: ... *gives the poor girl a hug--it seems like they both need one*

Harry: D8< *readies his weapon to throw like a spear*

Iratus: *roars at the octopus*

Octopus: *turns its attention towards Iratus, and lashes out at him, wrapping a tentacle around his arm and yanking him forward*

Everyone: !!!

Iratus: *lets out a panicked squeal when the octopus does this. He desperately tries to free himself, gnawing at the tentacle that holds him*

Todd: IRATUS!! D8

Harry: D8 !!

Sam: DDD8> !!!

Octopus: *is not very pleased with this at ALL--it reaches out and grabs at Iratus' snout, clamping it closed, and wrapping another tentacle around his middle and lifting him off the ground*

Zorua: D8!!! *shuts off the electricity on her weapon, and charges at the octopus*

Octopus: *smacks her away*

Zorua: !!?? *lands in a heap a decent distance away*

Iratus: *scared out of his wits, he starts desperately pulling back, pulling against the tentacles - anything to get away! But unfortunately, Iratus simply isn't strong enough* (HELP ME! HELP ME, HELP ME!! HELP ME, PLEASE, SOMEONE!!)

Todd: *swims over to the octopus as quickly as he can, trying to slash at it* DDDD8<

Sam: D8> !!!??

Harry: D8 ...

Octopus: *picks Todd up, and throws him. it continues pulling at Iratus, bringing him closer and closer to itself*

Zorua: *gets up and quickly shakes herself off* WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!! D8>

Sarah: LIKE WHAT?? D8>

Iratus: *continues to struggle* (NO, NO, NO, NO...!!)

Todd: *stumbles back onto his feet* W-we can't even get CLOSE to it! D8>

Harry: Maybe if we all go at once?? D8

Sam: MAYBE!! D8>

Octopus: *drags Iratus all the way over to itself, and pulls him towards its massive solid beak*

Claire: !!!!! WELL, WHATEVER WE'RE DOING, WE SHOULD PROBABLY DO IT NOW!!

Iratus: DDDD8> !!!!

Sam, Harry, and Todd: *SWIM AT THE OCTOPUS!*

Everyone: *ATTACKS THE OCTOPUS*

Octopus: *smacks Sam, Sarah and Todd away as it clamps its beak down on Iratus' arm, tearing at his flesh*

Todd and Sam: *are smacked away* !!!

Iratus: *howls in pain, his struggling becoming more violent*

Harry: IRATUS!! DDDD8>

Octopus: *manages to tear off more flesh with Iratus' struggling--it shoves Iratus farther into its mouth, clamping down on his chest. the crunching of bones is very audible*

Sarah: *is smacked out of the way with the others*

Claire: *reaches the octopus, and stabs it* D8<

Octopus: *UNAMUSED. it grabs Claire, and holds her up in the air, away from its body*

Iratus: *an unbearable BURNING runs through his body, so bad that he can't even bring himself to scream. He stays completely still* D8 ...

Harry: DDDD8 *has heard the crunching. In blind fury, he manages to swim up to the octopus's eyes. He stabs it with his weapon (first making sure the electricity is off* YOU frackING MONSTER!! DDD8<

Todd: OH GOD!! D8>

Sam: IRATUS!! DDD8>

Octopus: !!!!!!? *drops Claire, smacks Harry away, and releases Iratus, letting out a silent scream. it thrashes about, half-blinded now, trying to hit anything within reach of its arms in its pained fury*

Claire: !! *floats down from where the Octopus was holding her--seeing that it had released Iratus and that he was a safe distance away, she stabs her own weapon into its head, and flips the electricity on*

Octopus: !!!!!!!!!!! *convulses violently, arms twitching violently, until it becomes still*

Iratus: *floats down to the ocean floor, dying*

Todd: Oh god...! D8> *runs over to Iratus*

Harry: *floats down, landing next to Iratus* D:> ...

Sam: Oh god, NO...! D8>

Claire: *floats down to the rest of them* Oh god, no, no no no no... D8>

Zorua: *is so shocked she can't even speak--she falls to her knees next to Iratus, staring in helpless horror*

Iratus: (Why c-can't... why can't I feel my arms...? W-why can't I feel my legs...? Why can't I feel ANYTHING...??)

Todd: I-Iratus... y-you...

Iratus: (It only hurts... it hurts, it hurts...! It won't stop hurting... wh-what's happening to me...??) *he sobs* (I'm scared...!!)

Harry: *doesn't know what to say. This is the equivalent of watching a child die* D8> ...

Sam: *covers his mouth with a hand, feeling a lump in his throat. Iratus simply won't be able to survive* D8> ...

Zorua: *nuzzles him, trying to make his final moments a bit more comfortable--she KNEW he was going to die, there was no avoiding it, but that doesn't mean it broke her heart any less* Sh-Shhh...

Claire: *steps closer to him, just as shocked as everyone else. sure he might be scared of her, sure he might hate her, but she never hated him* oh my god....

Sarah: *instinctively grabs Sam's hand, staring in shock at the dying demon* D8 ....

Shidako: *had never really had much of a connection with Iratus, but watching someone die like this... it had to be one of the most painful deaths she's ever seen* D8 ...

Zorua: *is very unhappy with Iratus right now* >:/

*and so they go, heading down, getting ready, and heading out. Schools of fishes swim away from the group as they approach the mine*

Harry: It's nice to know what we're protecting, now...

Claire: *nods* Makes our job seem more important, in a way.

Sarah: ...

Zorua: *is silent, still upset with Iratus*

Shidako: *stays alert for any enemies* ...Hey... hey, there's something BIG coming...

Iratus: ... (What is it...?)

Harry: Doesn't matter yet. Get ready. *gets his weapon out*

Sam: *stares at the thing in the distance, imitating Harry*

Todd: *flexes his claws* >:/

Everyone: ...

Giant Octopus: *seemingly comes out of nowhere, having been camouflaged against the seabed--it lashes out at Sarah with a tentacle*

Sarah: D8!! *stabs at it with the electrified weapon*

Octopus: !!? *jerks away from her, hissing angrily*

Todd: Not being able to sleep at all, yeah. Kinda sucks...

Iratus: *exits his and Zorua's room, stretching on the way out with a yawn*

Todd: Good morning, Iratus. :)

Zorua: *follows close behind Iratus, stifling a yawn* Goood morning... X)

Sarah: Good morning... *now a bit upset at Todd, she goes back to looking out the window*

Iratus: (G'morning...)

Harry: *walks out fully dressed* Hey.

Todd: Hey, Harry. :)

Harry: *notices Sarah and frowns, being able to read emotions rather clearly* ...

Sarah: *doesn't notice Harry looking*

Claire: *follows a few moments after Harry, yawning* Mmhh... morning, everyone.

Shidako: Morning.

Zorua: Good morning. ^^ *keeps an eye on Iratus*

Iratus: *tenses up and steps away from Claire* ...

Harry: *approaches Sarah. He taps her on the shoulder* ...

Todd: G'morning, Claire! ^^

Sam: *finally stumbles out of his bedroom. He looks particularly exhausted today* ...

Claire: *notices this--it only gives her more incentive to find a way to get some of that potion* Good morning, Todd... *spots Sam* Good morning, Sam... Are you alright? <:/

Sarah: ? *turns to look at Harry* ...What? :/

Zorua: *pats Iratus' arm*

Shidako: ...

Sam: *mumbles* ...Din't get much sleep...

Harry: *he whispers to her* Are you feeling alright?

Todd: *notices the tension in Iratus's frame* Ah! D: *he walks over and pets Iratus's other arm* Heyyy... there's nothing to be afraid of, Iratus. <:/

Iratus: (Nothing to be afraid of... you are not being very funny, Todd...)

Claire: *tries to block out the other conversation* I see... any particular reason why? <:/

Zorua: Ira, we already talked about this... <:C

Sarah: *whispers back* I'd rather not talk about it...

Shidako: *is kind of left stuck in the middle* ...

Sam: ... Stuff that doesn't need mentioning...

Harry: If you bottle up those emotions, Sarah, you'll only explode with them later...

Iratus: (I am allowed to be afraid - she hurt me before, she's capable of doing it again!)

Todd: Iratus, that's... you're being unfair to Claire... she never meant for any of that to happen - hell, that wasn't even her fault! That cloaked guy was the one who did that to her D:

Claire: *frowns at the other conversation, unable to ignore it* I see... <:/

Sarah: ...I can't talk about it now. Not here.

Zorua: Yeah, see? Todd's saying EXACTLY what I've been trying to tell you this whole time! D:>

Shidako: ...

Harry: As long as you do, eventually.

Sam: *he yawns, trying not to look at Sarah* ...

Iratus: (So you're saying that the cloaked man was there when she killed you??) D:<

Todd: Well... no... but -

Iratus: (No! No "buts"! Stop defending her!)

Sarah: ... *nods*

Zorua: She didn't kill him, he's RIGHT THERE--!

Claire: *turns to face the others, quite fed up with that conversation* Please stop talking to me like I'm not here. Please

Shidako: !

Iratus: *snarls a bit at Zorua* (I meant "almost"...)

Todd: Sorry, Claire. D:>

Harry: ...

Sam: ...

Zorua: *pouts at Iratus* Don't use that tone with me, Ira. :/

Claire: ... *sighs, and mumbles* Sooner I turn back, the better...

Sarah: ... <:/

Shidako: ...

Harry: *moves over to Claire and puts an arm around her shoulders* ...

Sam: *looks down at his feet*

Iratus: (I can use whatever tone I want with you - you are not my mother, neither is anyone else here!) >:(

Claire: *hugs herself, looking down at the floor. is it possible to hate yourself for existing?*

Zorua: ...You shouldn't say things like that... I'm not your mother, but I AM your friend...

Sarah: ... <:(

Iratus: *snarls at Zorua* (You are no friend of mine if you'll defend HER...)

Todd: Woah - hang on - IRATUS! SERIOUSLY! D8>

Harry: *doesn't appreciate what Iratus is saying about Claire* D:< ...

Shidako: D:/

Zorua: D:< .... *is incredibly offended by this* W-WHY are you so... NRRGH. *turns away, crossing her arms. he was impossible to convince, so she wouldn't try*

Claire: *doesn't look up. Iratus' remarks really hurt--her voice is tiny when she speaks* ... If it's any consolation... I'm going to try getting my hands on that potion and bring myself to normal...

Shidako: *smiles briefly at him, before turning away and getting out of bed, grabbing her helmet. she was supposed to be trying to get over Altodd, wasn't she? And here she was, thinking he was still there. tch*

Todd: *his smile melts into a frown* ... You okay, Shidako? <:/

Shidako: *puts her helmet on* ...I'm trying to forget about Altodd... you should have pushed me away last night.

Todd: ... Shidako... simply ignoring me, or making me ignore you isn't going to change how you feel... you just have to face it. Accept that I'm a different person. <:(

Shidako: ...It's hard to do when you're so alike...

Todd: ... Only cosmetically, Shidako... and even then, lookit - I'm blue with white-grey hair. I'm sure you can learn to think of us as different. <:)

Shidako: ... *turns to face him* ...We're friends, right?

Todd: Of course we are! Why wouldn't we be? D:

Shidako: ...Just making sure. Do you think anyone else is awake?

Todd: ... I have no idea, actually. Wanna check?

Shidako: *nods, and opens the door, peeking out*

Sarah: *is outside and ready to go already, staring out the window into the ocean* ...

Shidako: ... *turns back to Todd and whispers* Sarah's up.

Todd: Ah - Good morning, Sarah. :/

Sarah: ? *turns around to look at them, and frowns. did he... did he sleep in her ROOM? after rejecting HER as harshly as he did?* ...good morning.

Shidako: Good morning, Sarah.

Todd: How'd you sleep? Good? Okay? Bad?

Sarah: ...Okay, I guess. I'd ask the same about you, but... I think I know how that went.

Todd: ... I'll leave it be... no need for that sort of drama rising up when all we really have here is each other...

Shidako: ...You make a good point. *sits down on the edge of the bed with a sigh* I wish things were different...

Todd: I think everyone does... still, this is better than where we were...

Shidako: A hundred times better... *yawns widely* mmmh... long day... *looks up at Todd* Are you staying?

Todd: *hasn't really thought about that* Uh... *he wonders - will he stay? Shidako offered, after all, and it's not like they aren't friends...* ... Sure... sure, I'll stay. *he smiles at her*

Shidako: *smiles widely. she takes her helmet off and puts it on the nearby table, then crawls under the sheets, curling up on one side of the bed, leaving Todd plenty of room*

Todd: *he crawls into the bed, next to Shidako. Sure, he can't sleep, but it feels good to be there*

Shidako: *smiles even wider--having him there was almost like...* Goodnight, Todd...

Todd: Goodnight, Shidako... *he looks up at the ceiling*

Shidako: *in the middle of the night, long after she's fallen asleep, she turns to face him, and curls up against his side, smiling contentedly*

Todd: *he's surprised by this, and debates in his head whether to risk waking Shidako up in order to get out of her grip. No. She needs this. She needs HIM. So he will be there for her*

Shidako: *stays there for the rest of the night, her light snores sounding almost like purring*

The Next Morning

Todd: *he doesn't even realize that he is now snuggling Shidako back* ...

Shidako: *is very comfortable, Todd feeling very much like Altodd does... her arms are wrapped around his middle, her head resting against his chest. she looked... happy. for once*

Todd: *he can't help but smile, happy that Shidako is happy. He lightly touches her shoulder* ...

Shidako: *only shifts around slightly, remaining asleep*

Todd: *his fingers slide down to Shidako's arm, which he rubs, still smiling. He then brushes some hair away form her face* ...

Shidako: *stirs, somewhat waking up* Mmh... *hugs him a bit closer, believing him to be Altodd. obviously, only he would be that gentle with her...* mm... <3

Todd: *his smile lessens a bit* Hey, Shidako... uh... g'morning.

Shidako: g'morn'n... *smiling, she looks up at him sleepily, then blinks in confusion. this wasn't Altodd* ..oh. *immediately lets go of him, scooting away* I'm sorry. D:>
