Altodd: This... could actually be better than where we came from... save for this "war" that's apparently happening... I dunno... I don't see any infected yet...

Key: I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't exist here.... I mean.... whooooole different place... All we'd have to do would be wait out the war...

Altodd: Right... Hey... I'm gonna climb down - getting kinda tired... <:/ *he climbs down and leans against the tree trunk, sighing*

Key: ! *climbs down after him, sitting next to him* ...

Altodd: *he gives her a small smile, putting his head on her shoulder* ...

Key: *puts an arm around his shoulders, and rests her head against his. she suddenly remembers that she can't sleep anymore...* ...

Altodd: ... You gonna be okay...? I mean, you don't have your tranquilizers... I don't want you to be all alone all night...

Key: I'll be fine... You go ahead and rest, okay? <:(

Altodd: ... Okay... <:( *he closes his eyes, letting himself relax, the moonlight comforting him. He quickly falls asleep*

Key: *nuzzles him for a little bit, then turns her attention to their surroundings... she hoped nothing would happen tonight*

*and nothing did happen that night*

The Next Morning

Altodd: *he groggily wakes up, blinking from the morning sun shining through the trees* Mmf...

Key: *nuzzles him* Good morning... Sleep okay?

Altodd: ... Really well, actually... I dreamed I was a wolf, though... which I was kinda expecting... did anything try eating us last night?

Key: Nope. It was really quiet last night... Do you want to keep moving?

Altodd: Yeah - I-I'm actually feeling kinda excited - let's go! :D *jumps up into a standing position, ready to walk, filled with a massive amount of energy*

Key: Whoa-kay then. o___o *gets up* Oooookay, we were going... *points* That way, right?

Altodd: Uhhh Yeah. Yes. It's a city in a crater. :)

Key: Yeah, I saw last night. ^^; Off we go, then? *starts walking in that direction*

Altodd: Uhh... I still have a bit more energy left... I'll sleep when I'm exhausted. <:P *he climbs back up the tree, looking out above it. He notices the city inside a crater in the distance* ... huh...

Key: *looks up, and calls after him* See anything interesting up there?

Altodd: I think I see the city we're supposed to go to! The Death City! *he looks up and spots the moon again... he stares...* ...

Key: Oh cool! How far are we? *waits for a response, and receives none* ...Altodd?

Altodd: *he only stares, entranced by the moon, the very same moon that made him howl to his heart's content* ...

Key: ... *decides to climb up there herself and investigate. she finds Altodd up there, staring at the moon. part of her wants to be amused, but she's mostly just a bit sad--judging by how things were looking, he was going to be a slave to it forever. deeming the branch he was sitting on to be strong enough, she sits next to him* ....

Altodd: *he stares for an entire hour before snapping out of it, blinking a few times. he's about to look down to ask Key what she had asked him, but then notices that she's right next to him and nearly falls out of the tree in surprise* !! O-Oh! How'd you get up here so quickly?? D8

Key: *jumps at his sudden reaction, and ends up having to grab another branch for support* I-I've been sitting next to you for an HOUR....! D8

Altodd: A-an HOUR? B-but that seemed so... so quick! D:>

Key: You must've lost track of time, then... We were sitting here for a WHILE. <:/

Altodd: ... I didn't realize... the moon's just so... I don't know how to describe it... but this is my first REAL experience with moon... isn't it?

Key: ...Now that I think about it, yeah... this would be your first time actually seeing a REAL moon... heh... I haven't seen the sky in WEEKS... maybe MONTHS... I lost track...

Altodd: ... It's a lot more beautiful than I imagined it to be... or maybe I only think that because I'm a werewolf...

Key: No... I think so too. I missed it... <:(

Altodd: ... It's kinda strange... living in a world that's colorless...

Key: White and red... *sighs* You know... even though the Creators have just as much influence here as they do in there... I'm actually glad they pulled us out now. At least we actually get to LIVE...

Altodd: FFFFRRGHHNNSS...!! *he then sits down, trying to contain his massive amounts of sudden rage*

Key: :/ *sits down across from him* ....

Altodd: *he tries calming down again, though it's very hard for him to, he lets out an animal-like whine, curling up into a tight ball, trying to just make the awful feeling in his stomach go away, and make the mood swings go away, and this sudden need to RUN... just run around and go nuts...*

Key: <:( .... *scoots closer to him, and combs her claws through his hair in an attempt to soothe him* ...

Altodd: *suddenly hugs Key tightly* I-I need to run...

Key: ! *hugs him back* Run...? Like, i-need-to-spend-some-energy run?

Altodd: Y-Yeah... I really REALLY need to do that... like if I don't, I'll explode...

Key: Well... okay, go ahead. <:/ *lets go of him*

Altodd: *he immediately gets up and bolts off, running through the forest as fast as he can - and it feels so GOOD*

Key: ! *stands up, ready to chase after him if need be. she listens carefully, making sure she knows where he is* ...

Altodd: *He runs and he runs until there's an opening among the trees, and the sky, the nearly-full moon, can clearly be seen. He slows to a stop at this point, staring at the moon, and a sudden urge to howl at it rapidly grows in the pit of his stomach. He nearly fights off the urge, but ends up giving in, howling at the moon like a wild beast*

*a few other howls join in in the distance, though whether they be wolf, or man, or even man-wolf like Aroothina is unclear*

Key: *shivers at the eerie, echoing noise. it was a bit unsettling, knowing that they were surrounded by beasts... or were they just others like Altodd? She couldn't be sure--the howls were practically indistinguishable from one another* ...

Altodd: *after he howls a few times, he feels... better. Like all that anger and tension had just vanished. He stands there, smiling a little to himself, then go climbs a tree, leaping from one tree to another, branch to branch, trunk to trunk, hopping about on them. He soon reaches Key again and hops down from the tree above her, landing a bit away from her* Back! :D

Key: *yelps, startled--she assumed that noise had been the wind* AAH! HI! D8

Altodd: Sorry... did I scare you? ^^;

Key: Juuust a little bit. 8C Are you feeling any better?

Altodd: Lots. Who knew that letting myself act like a complete animal would make me feel WAY better? :)

Key: Heh.... who knew... do you think you'll be able to sleep, or are you much too energetic for that? <:P

Key: *is starting to get really annoyed by Altodd's... antics. she grabs him from behind, and wraps her arms around him, pinning his arms to his sides. the speaks to the necromancer* Alright--say we decide to believe you. Where can we find Lucifer now?

Necromancer: He's searching for a demon's hypnotic eyes in Light City. He's dragging along a young woman, a fake-zombie like yourself, a tiny black fox creature, and a woman... thing who seems to have lost her mind by the way I've heard her speak.

Altodd: *he freezes up* That's Shidako...! THAT'S SHIDAKO...!! <:D

Key: ...So how will we get into Light City without getting in trouble...?

Necromancer: ... *he takes out a red collar and gives it to Key, then takes off his cloak and gives it to Altodd - he wears a black body suit and armor plating underneath and he's incredibly thin* Wear these. Light City guards will think you two are together as slave and master. You will be able to walk freely.

Altodd: Slave? D:/

Key: ...UHM... OKAY, then... D:/

Necromancer: Destroy Lucifer. *bows to them* Good lively hood and guiding light. *he then walks off*

Altodd: D:/ ... ... I... think we should go to... uh... Death City.

Key: As in, NOT going to Lucifer? Because that sounds like a really good idea right now.

Altodd: But that werewolf said Death City, and that werewolf was nicer... *vomits*

Key: *waits for him to finish before speaking again* I know, that's what I MEANT... I didn't like that creepy cloaked guy at ALL. D: *drops the red collar on the ground*

Altodd: *drops the cloak on the ground* Okay then... to Death City we go, I guess...

Key: ...You sure you don't want to wait until the sun comes back up? You really don't look so good... <:/

Altodd: Mf... m'kay... no use transforming when we reach the city, anyway... *he vomits, but all that comes out is bile*

*the sky is dark and the moon can be seen on the horizon*

Key: *jumps at his sudden outburst, caught completely off guard, but then she remembers what the other werewolf said* .... X(

*almost on cue, a necromancer comes out of hiding behind a tree*

Necromancer: Big bad wolf and the fake-zombie wants to go to Death City... might end up in the pig's fire...

Umbra: *suddenly comes up from behind the necromancer and grabs hold of him* Reeeeeee...!!

Necromancer: They aren't in Water City anymore. They're traveling. A traitor travels with them. One meant to work for us.

Necromancer: An angel... "Lucifer"...

Aroothian: To stop a transformation, perhaps you can hide from the moonlight. That is, stay indoors without any windows or anything. As long as the moonlight doesn't touch you, you'll be fine.

Aroothian: *to Key* Death City would kindly accept you, as you... well, you LOOK dead. As for you, wolf-brother, you may need to keep your blessing a secret.

Altodd: People aren't too fond of werewolves here?

Aroothian: Why do you think I stay in the forest? Some, like Life City, are more forgiving than others...

Altodd: Then why can't we just go there?

Aroothian: ... There's a war... all the cities are raging against each other, and Light City is notorious for being less kind to other races than the other cities.

Altodd: ... Ah...

Aroothian: *hands Key a piece of cooked venison* Here.

Aroothian: ... You should go now. Before the sun sets. Death City lies to the west. *he points in that direction*

Aroothian: *rip down enough branches with Key and throws them into a pile, but first digging up the area a bit to make it less grassy and more dirt-like. Around the area, he places rocks. Then he rubs two sticks together and creates a fire* There.

Key: No kidding... need to remember how to do that. D: *looks over at the deer* ...now we skin this thing, right? D;

Aroothian: Mhm. *proceeds to do so with his claws*

Altodd: *looks away, somewhat sickened*

Key: *is also rather grossed out, but forces herself to watch--she knew she'd be the one who'd end up doing that* ...

Aroothian: *once he's done skinning the thing, he tears it into chunks and roasts it over the fire using a stick* ...

Key: *moves over to sit by Altodd, watching Aroothian make the food. she sighs* ...why would the creators just... toss us in here...?

Aroothian: The creators never touched me nearly as much in here as they did out there. Possibly because in here, it follows more realistic rules. They can't simply pop up and change everything.

Aroothian: That's why this place is a haven for me... *checks on the meat* ...

Aroothian: Nor do I succumb to my bloodlust and, say, rip you two in half. In my world, where I come from, if a person is a werewolf long enough, eventually the two bodies become one, the fur whitens, and we gain an inner peace.

Key: ! *is somewhat pleased with herself. she grabs the thing, and drags it back to the other two*

Key: *drops the dead thing in front of them, flicking the blood off her claws* ...Err..... now what? D;

Aroothian: *nudges Altodd* Eat.

Aroothian: ... *tears at the meat, ripping off strips of it for Altodd, then handing him a piece*

Altodd: ... *he weakly takes the piece of meat, then starts chewing on it, the blood dribbling down his chin. Surprisingly, he doesn't mind*

Key: *is... rather grossed out by it, and tries to hide it. she somewhat succeeds* >_>;

Altodd: *finishes the piece rather quickly* ... That, uh... I-I liked that... uh... it was... good. <:/

Aroothian: Good. *hands him another piece* Have more.

Key: *sits and waits. she wasn't NEARLY hungry enough to eat that thing raw* ...

Altodd: *devours the second piece like an animal, almost ENJOYING it. When he finishes, he's a tad more relieved. The pain in his stomach lessened tremendously*

Aroothian: Good.

Key: Feeling better? <:/

Altodd: ... Yeah... a lot better, actually... you... you need to eat something too, though... <:(

Aroothian: Then the rest of the dear will be used. I will make a fire to cook it. *starts chopping down branches*

Key: *stands up* Oh hey, let me help... *mumbled* need to get this stuff off my claws anyway... *helps Aroothian rip down some branches*

Key: *is thrown out not to far from him, landing on her feet but falling to her hands and knees. she picks herself up off the ground, suddenly feeling rather hungry, and looks around for Altodd* ...??! *spots him, and runs over* H-Hey! Oh no no no, what's wrong?? D8>

Altodd: *whimpers, clutching his stomach* Gahhhh everything...! I-I feel like I'm eating myself f-from the inside...! D8>

Key: Okay, okay, this is bad. D8 *picks him up, CAREFULLY, looking around desperately* I don't know which way is OUT...!! D8> *randomly starts heading in one direction, hoping they'll end up near a city of some sort--she doesn't even stop to notice how all the plants were oddly colored*

Aroothian: *comes out from behind a tree* You there!

Altodd: OH CHRIST, A frackING WEREWOLF! DB>
