Todd: Shidako... he just doesn't understand. And you were just upset. I forgive you, and he should have forgiven you all on his own, if only he could understand...

Shidako: ...He still has Claire... maybe that's why he doesn't understand...

Todd: ... Well... no. He doesn't understand because he's a big ol' papa wolf around me. A sure-fire way to piss him off is to harm me in some way. The reason why he otherwise WOULD understand is that... well... before Claire came along, Harry dealt with a lot of longing. Wishing to be with someone he simply couldn't be with. That someone was my dead girlfriend, Sam. HE was the one who shot her when she became a witch... HE felt that same sort of pain that you feel right now... and then after Sam... when he met Claire... when they fell together the way they did... well, you saw how he reacted when she died. He became a shell of himself. He couldn't FUNCTION. He knows what you're going through, Shidako. He can relate to you. He just doesn't want to admit it.

Shidako: ...Why not? Is he really that stubborn?

Todd: No... he just doesn't want to relate himself to someone, from his point of view, nearly killed me.

Shidako: ... Mmh. I um... I apologize for that...

Todd: *smiles warmly at Shidako* I already told you I forgive you, Shidako.

Shidako: .. *nods* I just wanted to say it myself.

Todd: *his smile widens* Well, I'm happy you did... I wonder when the others will be back...

Shidako: ...It shouldn't be too much longer, I think...

Todd: Well, I dunno about you, but I think I'll head out of this room for a bit - spending too long in an enclosed space like this will probably make me chew my own fingers off. ;D *he heads out, leaving the door open for Shidako in case she wants to follow him*

Shidako: *hesitates for a moment, but follows him out of the room. she looks out the window at the ocean outside, vaguely remembering that she should probably not be too happy here considering the fact that she can't swim, and finding it odd that she was rather okay with it* ...

Todd: *he looks out the window, enjoying the view, when something glints some reflecting light out of the corner of his eyes. He looks and sees the mirror* Hey, isn't that the thing that one necromancer guy had on him? What are we still doing with this thing? :/ *he walks over and picks it up, looking at it* ... It's just a normal mirror...

Shidako: *leans against the windowsill, still looking outside* I remember hearing something about selling it... maybe they forgot?

Todd: ... Nah... this is Harry and Claire we're talking about - two super-level-headed people like them wouldn't just FORGET something like that. I think there's a bigger reason as to why they're keeping it...

Shidako: Well, what do you think it does? You just said it was a normal mirror...

Todd: *he turns around to face Shidako, still holding the mirror, and shrugs* Maybe we can find out. *he holds the mirror up again, this time facing Shidako, looking at it*

Shidako: :/

Mirror: *reflects an image that is quite close to his current appearance, but there is one noticeable difference-- his eyes are bright blue. The color seems to flicker a bit, as if it was trying to hide itself, but it was still there*

Todd: Well, Shidako... he's just... he's not... but you know who IS here? Your friends. We're your friends, right? <:(

Shidako: ... *nods slowly*

Todd: *smiles at her reassuringly* You can keep going without him... I know you can - you're STRONG! You're a strong woman-dragon... here - *he holds his arms up, offering her a hug* <:)

Shidako: ... *takes one hand and pulls herself up, then immediately hugs him, still sniffling. she doesn't say a word*

Todd: *he hugs her back, just as silent. He doesn't need to say anything. The hug is enough*

Shidako: *doesn't let go of him for a while. she tries to remind herself that no matter how alike they were, they weren't the same person... but... for a few moments, she allows herself to forget, and simply hugs him there*

Todd: *continues to hug Shidako, hoping that in doing so, he is helping her*

Shidako: *after a few more moments, she lets go of him, still keeping her hands on his arms* ... thanks...

Todd: *smiles warmly at her* Anytime. Be strong, alright, Shidako?

Shidako: *lets her arms drop, giving Todd a grateful look. she would be fine. she would be alright without Altodd. right* ...

Todd: ... Would you like me to go, or stay here with you?

Shidako: ...I'd like it if you could stay... please...

Todd: *his smile widens* ... And you're not gonna attack me again, right?

Shidako: *cracks a smile, and shakes her head* I won't attack you.

Todd: Good. Otherwise Harry might throw another fit. ;P

Shidako: Heh... we wouldn't want THAT... *sits on the end of her bed*

Todd: *sits next to her* ... It's sad that Iratus had to BRAINWASH him in order to get him to stop being to mad at you... <:/

Shidako: Mmh... He had good reason to hate me...

Todd: Aww! WHAT! You guys get to have all the fun, and I'm stuck in this ROOM?

Harry: Don't fight us on this, Todd - last time you -

Todd: I got INFECTED, I KNOW! But you know what? The Green Flu doesn't EXIST here - I think I'll be fi -

Harry: IRATUS, MAKE HIM GO TO SLEEP!

Todd: Wait - Wuh - ??

Iratus: *grabs Todd by the shoulders and stares into his eyes* (SLEEP!)

Todd: *passes out immediately, head dropping, Iratus being the only thing keeping him standing*

Sam: ... Cool. Okay. Problem solved. Now let's put him in his bed and go work. <:/

Iratus: *carries Todd over into his room, putting him in the bed, then heads back out*

Harry: Right. Let's go.

*and so they leave*

*quiet sobs could be heard from inside Shidako's room. they go one for a long while...*

Todd: *later, he drowsily wakes up, then realizes that the group left without him - he's ready to throw a fit, when, thanks to his mutated hearing abilities, he's able to hear Shidako's soft sobbing* ... *he gets out of bed, out of his room, and knocks of Shidako's room door*

*the crying immediately stops, and is replaced with a low growl--a warning*

Todd: *he does nothing but stay silent near the door, waiting for her to calm down a bit*

*the growling slowly dies down, and is replaced with silence*

Todd: ... Shidako... can we talk? We're all alone in the room. No one else has to hear. <:/

Shidako: *almost inaudibly* I don't want to talk.

Todd: You'll have to eventually, Shidako... it's now or later, but not "never" ... <:/

Shidako: *goes quiet. she really didn't want to talk about it, especially not to him... not when he looked so much like... she could barely stand the thought of Altodd now--she begins to cry again*

Todd: <:/ ... *he walks in, closing the door behind him* ... Hey...

Shidako: *is curled up in a corner of her room, crying. she immediately stops when he walks in, and she looks up at him, watching him carefully* ...

Todd: ... I'm sorry about before... I just feel like I HAD to say it, though... SOMETHING was wrong... still is... maybe I can help you, if you let me? <:(

Shidako: *her voice breaks when she speaks* HOW? H-How can you help me?

Todd: *he steps a bit closer* By being your friend, Shidako... by supporting you, by being a shoulder to cry on when you need one... I'm here for everyone, alright? Don't be afraid to talk to me when you need to talk to me... and I'm guessing you need to talk to me right now... <:(

Shidako: ...I don't need to talk.... *sniffles* ...I just want Altodd back...

Todd: ... Well... I'm sure he's happy for you, being able to escape the Between World and all that... he wouldn't want to see you like this, Shidako... I know I don't want to see it. Maybe some day they'll find their way here... <:/

Shidako: *finally looks down* ... do you think he misses me?

Todd: ... I think so, yeah... But I'm also sure he's happy for you, ending up here like this...

Shidako: ...It'd be better if he was here...

Harry: *glances at Claire, then at the mirror. Now that Todd isn't looking at her, it would be best to use it*

Sam: *sleepily* Hey...

Shidako: ...morning.

Zorua: ^^

Claire: *holds the mirror up to Todd as discreetly as possible, and looks into it*

Harry: *watches Claire, waiting for a reaction* ...

Todd: You feeling alright, Shidako?

Iratus: (Don't start this again...) D:>

Mirror: *shows a normal-looking Claire, though the scratch on her face seems more grievous. Obviously Todd has a hard time dealing with guilt for when he unconsciously attacks someone*

Claire: *her eyes widen slightly, and she glances up at Harry before looking back down at the mirror--the image CHANGED!*

Shidako: *deadpan* I'm fine.

Zorua: ... <_____________<;;;

Sarah: *comes out of her room, still looking quite sleepy. she half-yawns he greeting* Good morning everyone...

Harry: *gives Sarah a questioning sort of look, wondering what she sees*

Sam: *quietly, watching her - that longing starting up as soon as she's within his eyesight* ...Hey, Sarah...

Todd: *quickly* Hi Sarah! ^^ *returns his attention to Shidako* Don't think you scared me that first time we were through this, Shidako. Something's wrong - I can FEEL it - and it BOTHERS me. <:/

Iratus: D: *backs away from Shidako and Todd, over to Sarah*

Claire: *lowers the mirror, looking back up at Harry. she mouths "later"*

Shidako: *stares at him from just beneath the rim of her helmet, her eyes almost invisible* Your feelings are mistaken.

Zorua: *scoots away with Iratus* >__>;

Sarah: *doesn't like where this seems to be going* Guys... can we talk about this LATER...?

Harry: *is ready to separate Shidako and Todd if he needs to* ...

Todd: Stop it, Shidako... <:( If you need privacy to talk about it, we can talk in private... but you can't just shut me out like this...

Iratus: D: ...

Shidako: *tilts her head to one side, as if she was confused* I'm not shutting anybody out, Todd. There's simply nothing to say.

Claire: *watches silently* ...

Todd: ... *quietly* ... Nothing to say about Altodd?

Harry: *tenses up*

Iratus: D8 ...

Sarah: *gapes at Todd--WHY WOULD HE BRING THAT UP??*

Shidako: *seems to tense up a bit as well, her hands curling into fists* Nothing to say about anything.

Todd: You think you're the only one dealing with this problem, Shidako? Everyone lost SOMEONE when we broke out. Sarah lost her parents, I lost Key, Iratus lost his mother - the same goes for Sam - and you LOST ALTODD! So you don't like what I'm saying? So you'd rather just pretend that you're not hurting? So you'd rather ATTACK me again because YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH? ... ... *quietly* ... Then fine. *spreads his arms out, showing her that he won't fight back* Attack me.

Harry: D8 !!!

Sarah: D8 !!!

Iratus: D8> ?!!

Everyone: !!????

Shidako: *slowly goes into a crouch, teeth bared, growling, looking quite ready to leap at him... but she doesn't. for a split second, if one looked close enough, one could see tears rolling down her cheeks before she whirled around and went back into her room, slamming the door with enough force to make the walls shake*

Zorua: *jumps at the loud noise. she was honestly expecting the dragon-woman to rip Todd to pieces*

Sarah: D: ...

Claire: ...

Todd: *slowly drops his arms back to his sides. His voice is still quiet* ... I knew she wouldn't...

Harry: WHY. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT. D8

Todd: Because she needs to be helped along, and I know I can do that for her.

Sam: She'll KILL you...

Todd: She had that opportunity, and she didn't.

Iratus: ... (She almost did...)

Todd: But she DIDN'T.

Claire: It was an unnecessary risk to take, Todd... You just recovered from one injury, we didn't need you to get seriously injured again... :/

Sarah: I'm with Claire on this one. D:

Zorua: *stares at the door Shidako left through, wondering how bad she's feeling...*

Todd: I'm willing to take every risk I can if it means helping my friends. I know, that sounds cheesy as hell, but... well, it's the truth.

Harry: Maybe you should get some rest, Todd - you DID lose a large amount of blood yesterday...

Todd: I'm fine, Harry - I'm not even tired. I can't be tired, after all. :P

Claire: ...Well, either way, you aren't going out there today, so you may as well lie down or something. :/

Harry: *curious, he picks it up, holding it between him and Claire and looks at it, but lets out a cry of surprise when he sees himself... but as a HUMAN!*

Then he crawls onto the bed, flopping down and rolling onto his back. He smiles at Claire, inviting her to join him*
