That was supposed to be an act of intensity. It didn't work that way upon re-reading it. It was too much for the chapter. If he was going to give up his legs anyway, then I shouldn't have had him do that. The other part of it was to get around Kimihiro's current 3-Shadow Clone limitation (He can use four in Shippuden). And it was supposed to illustrate his weakness/ability in that he can't create material like water unless he has a catalyst. That's about the only point I think I nailed, to be honest -_-' It wasn't a well-written chapter. I think I thought about it for too long before I wrote it, and it got to be too intricate.

I'm going to give that part a quick revision. I can do most of the same stuff I wanted to with a mud clone. Kimi and Ryofu can't be too similar, and I def don't want to get into Ryofu's territory.

Great chapter. I'm just about to post mine. It's kind of a throw-away chapter, since Kimihiro's actions don't really mean anything. The point of it was to show his loyalty to Kakashi and his team, despite his anger.
I do have a favor to ask- at the start of the next chapter, could you mention that the seal Kimihiro set was broken with two days, or something like that? You'll see what I mean when you read the chapter.
I left things off at the hospital, just before Jiraiya comes for Naruto. Hope that's okay. If not, I can change things. I figured that this would be the best spot to leave things at, though.

I have a small role in mind for Kimihiro, but it can be after Naruto and Sasuke's battle. In fact, it has to be. I won't say what he'll do, but he's going to do deal some damage to himself to slow down Sasuke.
So, your original idea works perfectly.

Oh, and you're right. Shippuden is definetly where Ryouko shines more. There are more strange jutsus and whatnot, so I can do a little more. In the first set of arcs, I can't make him stronger than most of the genin, and he can't be too creative. So it's a little difficult. But good writing practice.
Shippuden definetly has the better cast of characters, though, with the Akatsuki and whatnot.

It's good that way. It'll be interesting to show our respective character's developments. I usualy just start at Shippuden, and don't bother with the rest. So this is a good thing, I think.
The ideas were mostly there. I just had to type it up quick.

That's not a bad thing imho. It's easier when a character isn't too powerful. You get more story options. Like the obligatory 'I've gotta get stronger' training arch that all Ichigo/Naruto/Yusuke types get, lol.

btw, I altered the timeline just a little. Things fit so nicely, I just went with the flow. It won't intterupt things at all.
