To stop friction burns try sports tape. It usually works pretty well.

Oh boy,where to start with Haku..yea I know me and Emily were like "What? That's a girl right? That's a girl I KNOW IT!" I was amazed that the charries all instantly knew he was infact male. Honestly,and not too sound overly nice or anything. But I don't really look at Ekyt and see anything feminine about him. The bags do seem to give him a more..well older look. But as you've noted there's necessary reasons why he has those bags. That's my opinion though! But when I see Haku and Deidara..that's different. They truely look feminine.

Well,hmmm...you should first start out with a basic circle. Then try shaping a chin from under it,try not to make it look too pointy nor round looking it should be in between. Then you can erase the lines and trying shaping up the cheeks,jaw,etc.

Crap,scratch that. I think you should take advice from someone that makes tutorials for drawing heads! Here maybe this could help;I know I'm horrible at advice *chuckles* This could work for you.

And for the bags looking like makeup. Hmm..well.
Maybe a little less shading on the bags..and once you try shading it. Since you bought those graphite pencils,yes? *nods eagerly*
Try using the 2H hue. Since that's what I usually use for a lighter shade. Since the problem could be because it's a bit too darker,ya know? Hope it helps,but who knows I might be wrong :(
