I guess that depends on what your OC does/who he or she is, etc. Holmes is a super-serious military type with no life, so almost anyone can play off him, I think. He's the perfect straight man!

Okay. Let's say, then, you're Mustang and Hawkeye (just because they're kind of important), and I'll be my OC (Private First Class Daniel Holmes) and...whoever we happen to need, I guess. lol. How's this for a start:

PFC Holmes made his way down the hall at central carrying two cups of coffee. The bustle didn't shock him, even at this hour. Central was a fascinating place, and very active at any hour.
Holmes was the type of soldier that was loyal- period. If others joked or just hung out, he was praciticing his aim, polishing his boots, or speaking to superior officers to learn more about the military.
It made Holmes shiver to think that he had joined the military for the worst reason possible- to pay off a debt of gratitude to FPK Bradley. Since the rumors he had heard had been confirmed by a friend now outside the military, Holmes couldn't ignore fact any longer.
So why was he still bringing the Fuhrer coffee whenever he had the earliest duty shift?

Bradley stood with his arms behind his back, looking out the window. He was shaking- damn kids made too much noise! And how much longer was that construction going to take? Those hammers worked on your nerves.

"Sir?"

Immediatly, Bradley smoothed his face and straightened up.
"Ah, Holmes. Coffee for me?"

Holmes saluted. "Yes, sir. Regular, cream, no sugar."

"Thank you, Private. Tell me- how are you liking Mustang's group?"

Was that question a trick, or just conversation? Holmes dind't know anymore. So he answered with a direct, easy to interpret reply:
"The Colonel is a smart man who trains his group well. I'm lucky to get to train with them."

After exiting Bradley's office, Holmes made his way toward one end of the building to deliver the other cup of coffee. This one was for Lt. Hawkeye.
What a woman! Beautiful, smart, and strong. Good career...
Crushing on one of your superiors didn't usually end well (as Sgt. Brosh had proven so many times), but Holmes couldn't help it.

Upon seeing Hawkeye holding a duty roster, he straightened up and salute.

"Here you are, ma'am. regular, sugar and cream."

Hawkeye hated that kind of coffee, and Holmes knew it. But that wasn't important. What WAS important was the address on the inside of the cup, put in place by simple alchemy.

Or we could actually be various military figures. I'll be my OC; you be Hawkeye and Mustang. I'll be Havoc; etc. Or whoever you want. You get first picks...CAUSE YOU'RE BETTER!
