Todd: *now alone in a dark room, he continues staring at the ceiling, still thinking, thinking about what was truly right... to die, or to keep living*

Key: *takes another hour to fall asleep, unable to stop thinking of all the why's and the what if's*

Doctor: You mean you WEREN'T wearing the vest before??

Key: *rolls her eyes* I'd say "I told you so," but that'd be mean.

Sarah: *resists the urge to facepalm*

Todd: *he remembers something* ... Key... I had a dream about colors... like... actually seeing them again... in different shapes, sure, but colors nonetheless...

Doctor: We know.

Key: ...You were mumbling about it... got us even more worried, we thought you were THAT CLOSE to dying...

Sarah: ...

Todd: ... *he looks away from Key* ... I haven't... I haven't seen any color since getting infected... it was so beautiful, Key... I... *more quietly* ... I wanted to stay like that... just stay there...

Doctor: ...

Key: ...

Sarah: ...And leave us here? A-Alone?

Todd: ... I wasn't thinking about you two at the time... I just... it felt so good... I felt... ready to LEAVE... *blood tears start rolling down his face* ready to just... be DONE...

Doctor: ...

Key: *lets go of Sarah and puts a hand on Todd's cheek, rubbing away the bloody tears with her thumb* Shh... Todd, that's all over now...

Sarah: *looks away. she hated seeing her father cry* ...

Todd: ... I didn't want it to be over...

Doctor: Don't think like that!

Sarah: *looks back at him in shock--so he DID want to leave?? the thought brought tears to her eyes*

Key: *glances back at Sarah* Todd, don't SAY that...!!

Todd: ... I want to feel human, Key... and... and humans die...

Doctor: Not after all that work to save you! D:<

Key: Everyone's time comes eventually, but it's not your time to go yet. You have a family, Todd, and friends who'll miss you if you're gone. Stop and think about that...!

Todd: ... you can live without me... I've been nothing but a burden since the second outbreak, anyway...

Key: I-I'll go get it! *takes her gloves off and tosses them in the trash as she runs out to her room to get the pill bottle. she finds it a bit odd that Sarah isn't there, but she figures she would have gone with the Gatzskys--she grabs the bottle and goes right back to the med room*

Doctor: *when Key arrives, he takes the bottle, gets out a pill, and force-feeds it to Todd*

Todd: !!!??? *after a few minutes of panic, he calms down* Ohhh god...

Key: *sighs in relief* Oh thank god...

Doctor: No. You need to rest, Mr. Huntings.

Doctor: We can tell Sarah, and she can see YOU, not the other way around. Surgery's a big deal.

Doctor: Ah, here we are. Hello again, Ms. Huntings. *steps aside so that she can see Todd*

Sarah: *gives the doctor a tiny wave, then turns her full attention to Todd* Hey, dad... How are you feeling? <:)

Key: *stands next to Sarah, putting an arm around her shoulder* ...

Todd: Confused. Uh... and my back aches. And I'm feeling a bit dizzy. Or a lot dizzy, actually.

Doctor: I think she was looking for "better".

Todd: Oh, right, that too.

Sarah: *laughs a little bit* That's good to hear, I guess... I was worried... <:(

Key: We were all worried... We weren't sure if you would make it...

Doctor: Indeed.

Todd: Yeah, y'know, funny thing about that, heh, uh... I don't know what happened. What happened? D:/

Sarah: *looks at Key* ...

Key: ... A survivor shot you, thinking you were a Hunter. On the ride back, you nearly died... We managed to stabilize you, but we needed to replace your lung...

Todd: Replace - replace with WHAT?? There's no way there'd be anyone willing to give me a LUNG -

Doctor: That Hunter on the table over there was glad to hand over a lung to you.

Todd: A LUNG FROM A HUNTER?? D8

Key: *bites her lip* It was the best we could do... and you're breathing, right? ^^;
