Joey: *turns and realizes everyone else is gone--so he goes as well*

Claire: I'm sorry... but... you know how cruel they are, heck, I know and I haven't been here nearly as long as you have...! Please, Harry...

Todd: *enters his and Key's room, holding the door open for Joey and Key to enter* ...

Harry: *he falls silent - continuing the argument would be beating a dead horse - Claire won. Inside, Harry's heart broke - well, more like shattered*

Joey: *seems confused by the fact that there are three beds in one room* ...Okay guys, what was THAT?

Key: Wellll... *sits down on one of the beds* If you can't tell, they're together. They have a kid and everything.

Joey: That much was obvious...

Claire: *feels something break inside her as well--and it hurt, so so much. not as much as the first time she watched him die, but it was still agonizing. she steps forward and throws her arms around him, hugging him tightly* I'm sorry, Harry...

Todd: THE RACCOON's been trying to drive Claire, the one with the glasses, over the edge. In order to do that, she's been hurting Harry, the tall guy. I guess this was just so that she can protect him.

Joey: Ohh... okay, so that explains the rabies... but... why were they freaking out so much over it? I mean, I know if I were him, I would've agreed to it--hell, it'd be helping both of them.

Key: *sighs* It's not that simple, Joey. See, during one of the fights, there was a bit of an... incident. it's kinda hard to explain, but Claire's soul was stolen.

Key: ...three times, actually... Claire only saw the last two, they hadn't met until then... but... she looked so DEAD... it's like she died with him...

Key: Yeah! We'll do introductions later, we need to pay attention right now. D:

Harry: ... oh, okay. D: *cautiously, he transforms into his beast form, not wanting to go on a rampage again - but since he no longer suffered from rabies, he had nothing to worry about*

Claire: *her ammo bag had magically reappeared on her belt, and she goes out to fight*

Joey: *turns out to have pretty good aim. he stays on the sidelines, picking off unsuspecting enemies*

Key: *provides cover, shooting anything coming at them from the sides*

Todd: *slashes the life out of nearby and charging enemies*

Altodd: *stays away from Todd and Key, slashing things on his own*

Harry: *pummels, happy to be able to do this*

*this continues on for a while, until a faraway voice calls for a retreat*

Joey: ... *lowers his rifle* Do these fights usually go this ffFfrack WHAT IS THAT?! *gawks at the giant black beast right near him*

Key: Oh. That's Harry. ^^;

Claire: *rolls her eyes*

Harry: *grins a bit at this, finding the kid amusing. While walking back to the portals, he transforms back into his human self* It's just a neat little power I have - that's it. Who are you, by the way?

Todd: ^^ *is happy that Harry is back*

Key: This is my-- *turns towards Joey* REALLY LOUD AND ANNOYING-- *turns back to Harry* little brother. ^^ His name's Joey.

Altodd: *goes straight to his room. He was very stunned and unfocused at the moment. An argument. He had an argument with Key... and he was a complete dick to her - or at least, that's what it seemed like*

Key: *her happy smile fades, but a hint of it still remains when she answers* I'll try my hardest.

Joey: ... *tries to think of the last thing he remembers, and immediately he wishes he hadn't--the last thing he remembered before coming here was dying* ...

Claire: Oh. Harry, I need to talk to you...

Harry: Uhh, yeah? What about? :)

Todd: So, Key, shall we head to our room?

Key: I guess so. ^^

Joey: Whoa-kay, still not getting the full picture here. Last I knew... You were with Alex. And now you're sharing a room with... this guy. *blinks as he notices something different* ...He totally looked different yesterday, I swear to god.

Key: Naww, you're just going crazy, Joey. Maybe you should get some sleep*

Claire: ... *hates that she has to tell him THAT when he was in such a good mood (he's NEVER this happy), but... she has to. she can't just walk out on him without telling him why* ...Harry... Claire: It's not what it sounds like, Harry... It's just that... I don't want you to keep getting hurt because of me. If you stay too close to me, they'll keep using you to try and get to me, and I don't want that...!

Joey: *watches, somewhat confused, but he's starting to make some sense of the situation* ...

Claire: *it upsets her that he wasn't just accepting her decision--it made it even harder for her to try to convince him now, mostly because she didn't want to leave him either* You don't get it, Harry! What if you can't take it the next time? What if you DIE again! I got lucky that they softened the impact this time, but I can't take that Harry, not again!

Todd: *looks away, rubbing his neck. No. No, it wasn't ending well*

Harry: I'm NOT LEAVING YOU, Claire! D8

Joey: *looks at Key questioningly*

Key: *mouths "later" in reply, and goes back to watching* ...

Claire: They brought him back as an infected. And he tried to kill me.

Todd: *is asleep, and human again*

Key: *wakes up first, as usual, and finds herself face to face with--something impossible (oh GOD, what is he--) now scared half to death, she nearly falls out of the bed as she tries to get out of the covers (h-how am i in here again?! i w-was with Todd, and-- i must be having a nightmare, yeah, that's it--) she would have bolted out of the room if she hadn't stopped to look for a second--and noticed that something was... off. she looked closer (that's... oh thank god...) realizing that it was just Todd turned human (out of NOWHERE?), she sits back down on the bed, heaving a huge sigh of relief (so it wasn't a nightmare...)

Claire: *slowly wakes up, and instantly feels like something is wrong. without moving, she opens her eyes, and finds herself staring right into an infected Harry's eyes. she freezes--did he even know she was there??* ...

Todd: *waking up* mmff...

Harry: *his lips curl into a snarl, and he slowly gets up, growling angrily at Claire. Now he knew she was alive*

Key: *turns to look at him, and frowns. last night's conversation came to mind--maybe... there WAS no other difference? shaking the thought off, she waits for Todd to fully wake up* ...

Claire: ... *slowly edges off the bed, trying VERY hard not to make any sudden movements as she backs away from fear of provoking him further (this isn't what i wanted...!)*

Key: *turns and yells at him* No he's NOT!! He is a complete monster and he didn't deserve to be rewarded, when I didn't even get to forget all the shoot he put me through! You are nothing like him!! NOTHING!!

Todd: ... *he bravely steps forward, and pulls Key into a hug, petting her wings, hoping to calm her down*

Key: *had tried to push him away at first, but her struggling died down almost as soon as he began to pet her wings* nhh... stupid... things...

Todd: *continues petting her wings, not letting her out of the hug* ... you're very confused, I think.

Key: *is leaning most of her weight against him at the moment* ...why do you say that...? you're not...

Todd: *still petting the wings* I'm not what, Key? All I'm saying it s that you seem to be confused. Altodd's a new man, now - he's not the guy who killed himself. He's not the guy who did... terrible things to you. He's lost and helpless. And he saved your brother.

Todd: *walks beside her, steadying her with his hand on her shoulder. They arrive at the room, in which Todd gets ready for bed, then gets under the sheets, getting into a comfortable position*

Key: *does the same, albeit more slowly, then gets into bed as well, snuggling right into him* ...oh. Todd?

Todd: *sniffles, then looks back at Joey, then to Key* ...?

Key: ... *turns away from Joey, and continues down the hallway, without Todd*

Knowing that I screwed up, and having a piece of them still stuck there to REMIND me! *is almost in tears by the end of this--it bothered her that much*

Todd: ... you didn't screw up, Key... *he tries smiling a little, for her, and jokingly speaks* first off, it was Altodd - and he deserved every bit of what you did to him.

Key: *through her teeth* I didn't even get to do anything... the bastard ended up getting the last goddamn laugh anyway! Every single time, he would always get away with it... with EVERYTHING...

Todd: *his small smile disappears* ... he's gone, now Key. He's gone, and you'll never have to deal with him again. That guy who lost his memory - THAT guy. He's not Altodd.

Joey: *is not amused at the change of topic, but goes along with it* uh, YEAH. I kind of noticed that when the demon-bird-whatever-the-hell thing was chasing me. D: What IS this place??

Key: ...It's called the Between World. Every day, we go outside and fight.

Joey: Fight... fight what?

Key: Two other armies, the Origini and the Canoui.

Joey: Okay... and what's the point of it all...? Who brought us here? D:

Todd: Two talking animals that control our lives. Crazy, huh? They're pretty damn sadistic, too.

Key: Yeah, I know. It's all a big game to them-- and the fights aren't even the worst part.

Todd: ... it's not a fun time all around, Joey. People have died here. Others have... done worse things.

Key: It's better that you don't ask.

Alex: *looks at her suspiciously, but doesn't question it--he doesn't want to intrude on her life. he wasn't ALLOWED to intrude anymore* ...

Joey: ...so... how do I fight?

Todd: I'm sure the creators will give you a weapon of sorts. They always do.

Joey: Oh, alright. I thought we had to, like... FIND it, or something.

Key: This isn't a videogame, Joey, this is REAL. If you die here... there's no guarantee they'll bring you back.

Todd: *trying to lighten the mood* They bring SOME people back. <_<;

Key: ... pff. But they DO bring people back, if they like them enough... They brought Todd back.

Key: ... *lets go of Todd's hand, and puts both of them on Joey's shoulders* Don't worry, we'll take care of you, okay? We've been in here for a while now... we know how things work. I won't let anything happen to you, okay?

Altodd: *under the helmet, perspiration drips onto his face as he looked, shifty-eyed, waiting for the demonic THING to come back out of the ground. It couldn't stay like that forever, could it?*

Key: *watching for Giza to come out of the ground* ...I'll explain later, okay?

Joey: *nods* ...

Claire: *waits* ...

Giza: .... *suddenly shoots out of the ground, going straight for Claire*

Alex: *seems to leap out of nowhere, and lands on the demon's back, driving him face-first into the ground* D8<

Altodd: *is completely startled by Alex* AHH!! WHAT IS THAT?? IS THAT A WEREWOLF??

Claire: D8... *takes a few steps back, still a bit freaked out from having a demon-bird-snake try to attack her*

Alex: *proceeds to beat the crap out of Giza, clawing and biting at him viciously*

Giza: *decides that enough is enough--he vanishes into the floor and flees into the battlefield*

Altodd: *quietly* ... you're welcome... *he retreats back into his room, closing the door. That was the girl he took the gun from. He felt many new, strange feelings, now that he was putting two and two together. That dream was real. He shot himself in the head - a suicide - in the middle of the battle field... "... I can't live like this anymore... you NEED to give me the gun... I... I need to be with Sam again..."* Sam? *Sam must have been someone he really cared about (loved). Loved her. But about the girl (Key)? He... (also loved her) he... (went too far) what happened...?*

Key: ...He looked scared. Of us.

Todd: ... did we look angry or something?

Altodd: *runs away from Giza with Joey while the snake-like monster was distracted*

Todd: *grinds his sharp thumb into a zombie's face*

Joey: *runs for dear life, muttering every single curse word he knew under his breath as he did so (he was being chased by a GHOST-BIRD-SNAKE-THING, WHAT THE HELL?!)*

Giza: *looks back at the fleeing males* oh no you don't... *moves to go after them*

Key: *desperately continues to shoot him, trying to draw his attention away from them* HEY! OVER HERE, BEAKFACE! D8<

Giza: *snarls, more than annoyed with her already* You test my patience, girl! *lunges right at her*

Altodd: shoot! *quickly runs back with Joey, to Giza, his sword ready*

Todd: *notices* !!! *runs to Giza and Key as well*

Scott: HEY! TODD! D8

Claire: *hears the commotion and wishes she could help, but the hrde of heartless continues to grow, and she's having trouble handling them as it is* D:>

Joey: *is confused at the sudden change of direction, but when he looks, he turns around and follows Altodd without question--he just wished he had a weapon*

Key: *keeps shooting at Giza until he comes too close--*

Giza: *seems to grow to twice his size, spreading his ethereal wings out to the sides to make himself seem even larger. he hisses threateningly at Key, hovering over her like a snake poised to strike*

Key: *completely freezes up at the sight, gawking up at the creature aboce her--all she can think of doing is throwing her arms up over her head as the creature shot forward to strike*

Todd: KEY!!

Scott: D8 !!

Altodd: *quickly slices downwards, catching the end of Giza's tail*

Giza: *roars and turns around, hissing loudly at Altodd* You're next, boy!!

Key: D8 ...

Altodd: Make me first, damnit! *he slashes at him again, across his beak*

Todd: Fffff...! He's doing something STUPID...!

Scott: D: ...

Giza: SCRAAAAAHH!! *snaps at him, trying to bite his head off*

Key: *now that the monster was away from her, she seems to unfreeze, and takes a few steps back. she'd shoot at the monster, but it wouldn't do anything...*

Altodd: *backs up and swings his sword downwards*

Todd: *watches* ...

Scott: ...

Joey: *watches, glancing around nervously*

Giza: *moves quickly enough to avoid getting his beak sliced off, but he gets slashed in the face, opening up a large gash--though no blood comes out*

Key: *decides trying to distract him was better than just standing there, so she shoots at him again, making sure not to shoot in Altodd's direction*

Giza: *is very much annoyed by this, and glances back, swinging his tail at her*

Key: *jumps over it* Stab it or something!! D:>

Altodd: U-uhh... right! *he stabs at the strange being with as much force as he could possibly exert*

Todd: *wants to help but fears he will only get in the way at the moment*

Vincent: What the frack is that thing??

Scott: *looks over at the voice, and suddenly hisses angrily at Vincent* YOU!! D8<

Vincent: Me?

Giza: *is stabbed where his gut would be--he screeches loudly and fades back into the ground, glowing red eyes glaring angrily*

Joey: YEAH! Serves you right!! >:D

Key: *watches the strange monster, waiting for him to make a move* ...

Claire: *had managed to make her way back to the rest of the group after fending off the heartless. she glances over at Scott and Vincent* ...

Altodd: *waits, watching carefully, sword ready* ...

Todd: *looks between Vincent and his father* ._.;

Scott: You killed him in my dimension thingy!! D8<

Vincent: Killed - ?

Scott: HARRY!! YOUR SON!! AND YOU MADE TODD HERE GO INTO THIS HEAVY DEPRESSION! DDD8<

Key: *looks over at them, then back at the monster in the ground* guys, can we yell at each other later? I really don't like how this thing's staring at us. D:>

Joey: *wants to cross over towards Key, but remains where he is from fear of being attacked again* ...

Claire: *keeps her crossbow pointed at Giza* ...

Giza: *looks between each individual member of the group, then goes after the easiest targets--Scott and Vincent*

Claire: !! *shoots at him, but the bolts harmlessly embed themselves into the ground* Look out!! D:

Scott and Vincent: D8 !! *quickly dive out of the way*

Todd: *to Giza* HEY!! D8<

Altodd: !! *he still keeps his position, not wanting to risk Joey's life in case Giza attacks again*

Giza: *whips around and snaps at Scott, trying to grab him*

Key: !! *shoots at the monster again, though she already knows what will happen*

Claire: *notices how Key's bullets don't seem to hurt the thing either* Have you tried hitting him with something OTHER than bullets??

Scott: *backs up and tries clawing at the beast*

Altodd: *at the same time, he cuts at Giza quickly from behind* D:<

Todd: Uh...

Vincent: I've got an' axe. *holds it up*

Giza: *avoids being slashed, but is slashed from behind. he hisses and whips his tail at Altodd*

Claire: *the fact that Altodd was able to hit him reaffirms her theory, and she nods* then use it! you can't him him with ranged weapons! D:

Key: *suddenly wishes she still had that knife (butatthesametimenonotreally)*

Joey: *waits on the sidelines, constantly looking around to make sure nothing sneaks up on him* >___>;

Vincent: *tries hitting the monster with his ax*

Altodd: *is nervous. He keeps his helmet on*

The Blank Space: *has turned completely black, with the white orb representing the moon hanging over the field. howls were heard all across the field, including on the Deriviti side*

Key: !! *looks in the direction of the closest howl* I forgot that Alex got bitten...

Claire: *looks around nervously. she didn't like the fact that everything was pitch black* ....

Todd: Get ready.

Altodd: *is already ready. He tightens his grip on his sword*

Everyone: *charges*

Scott: *defends himself as best as he can*

Claire: *shoots at whatever she sees, mostly aiming for anything resembling a pair of yellow eyes-- she didn't want those THINGS coming anywhere NEAR her*

Alex: *already transformed, he romps around on all fours, barreling into anything that gets in his way*

???: *falls from the sky* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH--!!

Alex: *catches him, recognizing his voice somewhat. he looks at the boy, then blinks in surprise, trying to say his name, but all that comes out is a loud bark*

???: AAAH, WHAT THE FU--!! *scrambles out of Alex's grip, and flees from the black werewolf*

Alex: !! *resists the urge to face(paw)palm and tries to go after him, to stop him from running into an enemy--but a bunch of heartless get in his way* D:>!!

Giza: *is melted into the pitch-black floor, completely invisible, save for a faint golden sheen where he was flattened into the ground. he spots the boy running, weaponless, and smirks, quickly going after him*

Altodd: !! *he notices the boy running in the direction of the eyes on the ground - a trap. He runs, hoping to save him*

Todd: *defending himself, AND his father*

Scott: *defending himself and his son* D:

Key: *is helping Claire fend off the oncoming Heartless*

Alex: *howls loudly, trying to get her attention* D8>

Key: !? *looks in the direction of the familiar sounding howl*

Alex: *points in the new boy's direction, before being forced to defend himself against a horde of heartless*

Joey: *stops in his tracks, and looks in her direction, his surprise mirroring hers* MICKEY?! D8>

Giza: *takes the opportunity, and leaps out of the ground with a fearsome screech, lunging straight at Joey*

Altodd: *suddenly dives, taking Joey, and rolling with him out of the way of Giza* Are you okay?? D8

Todd: *glances about, and notices this* !?

Scott: *slashes a leaping heartless away from Todd* D8 WATCH IT!
