Altodd: *He nods a little at Todd, then gets up and walks away from them all*

Altodd: *He walks for a while, not really understanding why he wants to walk alone, but does so anyway. Nothing was really telling him to stop*

Lucifer: *Puts a hand on his head, silencing him* ... Sshh... It's alright. You're my slave now, happy to serve me. You will not sleep unless I tell you to -- You are completely devoted to my will.

Lucifer: *Has taken Altodd and hidden him away in a cave where no one will find him. He must wait for tomorrow night. Then he can eliminate the others in a fun sort of way* >:)

Altodd: <:( ... *He kisses her back* ... 'Night. *He then lies his head back against the tree again and closes his eyes, trying to sleep*

Mia: *does the same, though her thoughts keep her awake for a little while longer*

Altodd: *Falls asleep eventually, though it's difficult after the scare he got*

Mia: *loses her balance at some point in the middle of the night as she sleeps, and her head thumps onto Altodd's shoulder. It wakes her up for a moment, but she doesn't think to pull away before falling asleep again*

Altodd: *Asleep, and was unable to notice*

The next morning

Altodd: *He groggily wakes up to find Mia on his shoulder* ! ... <:)

Mia: *is sound asleep*

Altodd: *He nuzzles her a little. He knows Neo is watching, though he can hear nothing from him. Good. Better for him to be silent right now*

Todd: *Watches Altodd and Mia, awake* ...

Mia: *mumbles something unintelligible, and scoots a little closer to him*

Altodd: *Smiles a little wider and puts his arm around Mia, holding her close*

Everyone: *Waking up*

Mia: *also wakes up. she notices where she is, and drowsily wonders how she got there* ...?

Altodd: Hey... G'morning. :)

Sam and Harry: *Stretches*

Mia: *smiles back* Good morning...

Key: *sits quietly with Todd*

Mia: NONE OF US wanted her to die that day, but trust me when I say that she knew what she was doing. You could see it in her face. You should give her more credit for that. Mia: *her breath hitches in her throat, startled by the sudden appearance of the other personality. she stares at him, and finally manages to stammer out* That's... That's not for you to decide.

Neo: Anyone with a sense of morality should know he doesn't... He has RAPED and MURDERED... People like that aren't ALLOWED to have happy endings.

Everyone: *Notices that something's up* D: ?

Mia: *quietly* People can atone for their mistakes.

Neo: No matter what he does, he'll never atone for what he's done. NEVER.

Mia: Isn't forgiveness enough?

Neo: Of course it's not. He doesn't DESERVE forgiveness.

Mia: Like I said, that isn't for you to decide. He's already been forgiven, who are you to deny him of that?

*Suddenly what looks to be himself (while he was rotting and skeletal) shoves Altodd against a tree and screeches at him*

Altodd: *Screams, the thing startling him as well as scaring him badly*

Thing: *It disappears as quickly as it came, leaving Altodd practically attached to the tree behind him in fright*

Altodd: *Is shaking, in a state of shock -- TERRIFIED. Was that Neo? Was it real? Or maybe his mind was playing tricks on him?*

Key: *sits against a tree, having a somewhat one-sided argument with Mehnit. While the demekarr seemed to be wearing out Lucifer's command, her voice was still quiet in Key's mind*

Mia: *takes a little while to regain consciousness. When she finally does, she looks up at Altodd* ...?

Altodd: ! *He gives her a sad smile* ... I'm sorry...

Todd: *Stays near Key, trying not to listen to her conversation with Mehnit -- Or rather, what Key says* <:/

Mia: *a hand unconsciously touches her stomach, as if to check it was really still in one piece. she smiles back, and answers quietly* It was an accident... *frowns when she sees how badly his face is bleeding* You need to get that looked at... D:>

Key: *is quietly muttering to herself, still arguing with the demekarr*

Everyone: *hangs around*

Altodd: I -- What? *He touches the left side of his face and quickly pulls his hand away when he feels the warm, sticky blood* !! Oh, yeah! Yeah, I do! D:

Mia: *sits up, wincing a bit as her stomach was still a bit sore from the rapid healing* Go talk to Key, I'll be okay. <:/

Key: *glances at Todd, giving him a small smile before returning to her internal argument*

Altodd: *Winces along with her. He takes her hand in both of his, rubbing the top of it* ... You sure? <:(

Todd: *Continues to hold Key's hand* <:/ ...

Everyone: *Deep de doo*

Mia: Absolutely. Go on, before that gets any worse. <:(

Key: *mutters to herself*

Altodd: <:( ... *He nods a little and gets up to walk over to Key* ... Hey, uh... Sorry for interrupting, but could you fix my face?

Todd: Jeez! You're bleeding EVERYWHERE, Altodd! D8

Key: --OH! Yeah, yeah sure-- *stands up and dusts herself off, then lays her hands on his shoulders* If Mehnit feels like cooperating... she isn't too happy with me right now. *tries to heal him*

Mia: *pulls away* You're sure you'll be okay?

Altodd: *He smiles a little at this* ... Thank you, Mia...

Mia: *squeezes his shoulder reassuringly, smiling at him, then takes his hand again* Come on, everyone else is waiting.

Altodd: Right... *He walks with her back to the others*

Harpies: *ATTACKING EVERYONE*

Altodd: !! shoot! *He draws his sword and runs over to help everyone*

Todd: shoot is right! frack Air City, man! frack them all with something sharp and uncomfortable to frack! DX *Defending himself*

Everyone: *Fighting*

Key: *has taken to the air, trying to drive them away--but there's too many of them*

Mia: !! *draws her sword, and sets it aflame, the area too crowded for her to do much else without hurting an ally--she attacks the harpies that come after her, sticking close to Altodd*

Altodd: *He swings at the harpies as carefully as he can without hurting his teammates. He decides to move a bit farther away from them to avoid accidentally slashing them*

Harpy: *From above, it screams and swoops down, grabbing at Altodd with its talons*

Altodd: *He hears and ducks, but the talons still manage to get him, opening up deep cuts in his left cheek (going all the way up to his eye), his other cheek, and his brow right near his temple. The blood coming from that area in particular pours down quickly and into Altodd's left eye. He yowls in pain and from the sudden half-blindess*

Mia: *hears this and turns around* Altodd--! *sees another harpy swoop down at her, screeching, and manages to deflect its talons with her sword, but the force of the hit knocks her back into Altodd*

Altodd: *Thinking it's an enemy, he quickly turns and stabs Mia. He doesn't realize what he's done until it's too late, and Altodd freezes up, a look of horror on his face* ... Oh no... No, NO...! D8>

Everyone: *FIGHTING*

Mia: HKK--! *looks down at the sword in her stomach, then back at Altodd, just as surprised as he was*

Altodd: *Whispering to her, tearing up* Oh my god... Oh no, I'm so sorry... I'm so, so sorry... *He looks at the others -- They're still fighting. He carefully slips his sword out of Mia, supporting her with his arms* I'm sorry...! D8>

Others: *Manage to kill the harpies*

Todd: *Notices Altodd and Mia* Woah! Woah, what happened?? D8>

Everyone: ???

Mia: *coughs up blood as he supports her. even with her hands over the wound, she was quickly turning pale from blood loss*

Claire: !!

Sarah: D8?!

Key: D8!!! L-Lay her down, I-I-I can help her!

Altodd: Y-You can?? D8> *He carefully lies Mia down, hating himself for what he's done, accident or not*

Todd: So what HAPPENED? I mean, that wasn't really answered! D8>

Altodd: U-um...

Everyone: D8

Mia: *manages to choke out* H-Harpy... g-got me with a claw... *coughs again, blood dribbling out of her mouth*

Key: Shhh... talking'll make it worse...! D:> *gets down on her knees next to her, and puts both hands on either side of the wound, trying to heal her using her demekarr*

Altodd: *He suddenly looks at Mia, confused. She... Lied for him?*

Mia: *looks back at him, holding his gaze for a moment before resting her head back down on the grass, strength quickly fading*

Key: ...godDAMNIT, Mehnit, not's not a good time for this...!

Everyone: D8??

Altodd: ... No, I mean I REALLY didn't handle it well... Mia, I... I killed people.

Mia: ...Like people-people or infected people...?

Altodd: *Very quietly* ... Like innocent survivors who were only trying to help...

Mia: *just stares at him for a few moments--and then comes the question* ...Why?

Altodd: I was so... SO angry... At -- At EVERYTHING and EVERYONE... I wasn't thinking straight... I BUTCHERED people. I can NEVER run away from that single fact -- That I'm a MURDERER. I took their lives. I don't deserve that happiness that Todd feels. I don't deserve YOU. For the longest time, I didn't think I deserved to LIVE...

Mia: D:> ... *can't really think of anything to say to him. she squeezes his hand a bit, as a show of support, but she can't turn her thoughts into words*

Altodd: *He squeezes her hand back a little. Only a little* ... There's an indentation on both sides of my head from where I shot myself with Key's gun.

Mia: !!? I--But--how did you survive that...!?

Altodd: ... I didn't. The Creators forced me to come back, but I lost my memory. That's how my... Other self... Came into existence. I was locked away inside my own mind.

Mia: D:> ... *lifts a hand, then hesitates* ... *quietly* Can I...?

Altodd: *After some silence* ... Sure. Go ahead.

Mia: ... *slowly lifts her hand to his head, and runs her fingers through his hair until she finds the indent* ! *gently passes her fingers over it as the meaning of it sinks in--Altodd was dead once. Dead, by his own hand* ...

Altodd: ... It doesn't hurt if you touch it. It's just kinda there. To remind me. The Creators punished me. I... I RAPED Key... And I'll never forgive myself for that. What... What THEY did was... They brought Sam back. They brought her back for a day. Maybe a day and a half. For that whole... Day and a half... I was happy... I was so, so SO happy... I forgot about what I did, I just... I didn't care anymore, because Sam -- *He lets out a tiny chuckle* Sam was BACK... After so LONG... After ALL that heartbreak... But it was a punishment. It was all a horrible, horrible trick. Emotional torture. That whole day and a half. The Creators... They stole her from me... Shidako didn't kill her right away. She POISONED her... I was... I was so HELPLESS... She died in my arms.

Mia: *it hurt to listen to him, to the pain, the suffering in his voice as he recalls all those horrid, hurtful memories--she finds herself unconsciously hugging him tightly, wishing she could just be rid of the sorrow in his voice--for once, she just wanted to hear him be happy* ...

Altodd: *He feels his throat tighten and he hugs Mia back, just as tightly. Tears roll down his cheeks* Y-you're n-not replacing Sam. She's always where she'll be in my heart and I can't forget about her -- I-I WON'T forget about her... B-But thank you... Thank you for... For ALSO finding your way into my heart... *He pulls away for a second to give her the faintest smile... Then breaks down sobbing in front of her*

Mia: *hugs him close, gently pulling his head down to her shoulder and letting him sob, slowly running her hand back and forth through his hair and trying to contain tears of her own. She couldn't stand it. She couldn't stand seeing someone in so much pain. if she had one goal now, it would be to make him happy, if only for a while. whatever it took, she would do it*

Altodd: ... A lot of things happened... But what really started it was during the infection. Sam - my girlfriend - and Harry got... Infected. I had to shoot them. It... It wasn't fun.

Mia: D:! ...Walter got infected too... I-I couldn't kill him, though... So I left him behind, wondering if someone else would...

Altodd: ... It hurts, watching them turn on you... And... Not really understanding WHY... I'm sorry it happened to you, too. <:(
