Co-Op fic updated. I had a hard time with this chapter, for some reason. I love the concept, but it didn't work out as smoothly as I wanted. Oh well. Enjoy anyway!

Not a problem at all. We aren't quite to Jiraiya's part in the Naruto universe yet. I'll pick some big highlight to fill Deidara's spot. In the mean time, the girls will keep jockeying for position, and Yuji will be otherwise occupied with his training.

Can you give me a time estimate on the next four chapters? That is, in terms of the story. Is it a month, or a week, or a day? I want to make sure I have Yuji doing something worthwhile, but realistic for the time frame he's got.

Ah, that's right. Well, in that case (text sized changed for spoiler): Yuji will retrieve Jiraiya's body from the Rain as an away mission when Ryofu returns. Does that sound okay? Up until that point, he'll be training with Itachi.

I like that idea. Sounds like fun. I'm still tossing around what's going to happen with Yuji's love life in the near future. Once that' settled I'll know more. But regardless, the fic sounds like a fun idea.

So, once Sasuke and Ryofu clash, after that we should be covering Sasuke vs. Deidara, right? I planned to still have Itachi vs Sasuke, though I'm not sure if it'll run completely true to the original storyline or not yet.

I wasn't sure if it was something we had talked about or if I had just dreamed it up at some point. It doesn't really seem to fit within the story at the moment. If I get a clear opportunity, I'll initiate it, if it makes sense at that point. For now, Yuji's next few events:

-Recovers from injury at the Leaf Village while training with Itachi
-Keeps in contact with Jiraiya; goes off on a solo mission of a mysterious nature
-Sakura and Azami both confess to him they have feelings; Yuji has to make a decision/the girls make a decision themselves
-The whole thing with Jiraiya happens, causing Yuji to think about taking over his work.

I like that last point; it leads to everything. Sasuke vs. Yuji; Itachi vs. Sasuke; and it gives Yuji a purpose, which he does not have up to this point.

Okay, glad that works out, then. Eventually, she'll be more like a jack of all trades, and even have a kinjutsu technique or two.
Oh, btw- do we still have the big battle of the factions planned for later? I think we had talked about Itachi's group vs. Ryofu's group vs. Yuji's group at one point. Were we still doing that later on?

Sure thing. Azami is primarily a wind type, though she can also use shadows in a different way than Shikamaru, and occasionally uses earth style. Her jutsus are:

Wind Style: Wind Defense: Big blast of air that can be used to block other jutsus or to clear trees. In Azami's case, she typically uses it in tandem with Yuji's Fire Style ninjutsu

Wind Style: Wind Redirection; Smaller blast of air used for precision attacks. Basically similar to an arrow for piercing ability. She directs it with her chakra, needing no external movement after making the handsigns.

Wind Style: Air Blade: She uses a pendant shaped like an Egyptian Ankh as a hilt/focusing medium and creates a sharp-edged blade of wind off the end of the ankh.

12 Stone Guardians (earth style): a defensive jutsu in which she uses her chakra to mold earth into 12 stone golems armed with swords to form a defensive perimeter and/or as a distraction.

4 Stone Pillar Barrier (Earth Style): A barrier jutsu similar to the Sound Ninja 4, save for being earth based. 4 golems erect and hold in place a barrier. The surface of the barrier is rubbery. So you can climb it, but if you put pressure against it it just snaps back into place.

Shadow Transport Jutsu: Can trasport herself between the shadow she casts and an existing shadow at her point of exit. She falls backward into the shadow, then 'falls up, onto her feet upon exiting. Used for long distance travel; can only carry 1-2 people with her as it uses a good measure of chakra.

That's all she's got for now, although she'll gain more depth later. She's proficient with almost any edged weapon, and is much faster than Yuji.
