alchemest1Well the warehouse was where the for lack of a better word. . .Elite students trained. The others trained in a respectable looking office front building. Which was well suited for it's needs. I have to say your summer dojo sound quite beautiful. The only time we were ever outside was during our wilderness training which was eight times a month which isn't alot since class was every night. Although our outdoors training was in the form similar to the tournament you wrote about in your story. We divided into teams and tried to take out the other. Simple but you risked getting hit with blunt kunai and sherican and the fighting was a little different than your inside training. Mostly alot of stealth flash pellets and smoke pellets. Lol. Anyway. Hopefully my phone stays charged for a bit. Tonight I had a full battery but it is still giving me trouble. So if I disappear it's because my phone died. Sigh. I guess I get to go have a little chat with the guy that sold me my NEW battery. Lol. It doesn't work so well.

alchemest1Lol. Yeah. Painful and fun are synonomus in the case of a sparing match. Anyway. My masters dojo was not your typical one either. Lol. Picture an old brick warehouse with high ceilings and a Japanes shrine in it. Lol. That would be the place. Ropes hanging from the ceiling and weapons on the walls. Ah the memories. Lol. Anyway. I'm not sure you would call our style passive but it wasn't aggresive either. I guess it could lead back to my masters theory of balance. Alot of our training was about balance. Anyway. I'm sure even if you are behind in kunai your skills with a long blade would be fun to test. All be it I would prob suggest using a shinie. (not sure if that's spelled right. But I mean practice)

alchemest1I kinda hate talking about my training to some people. I feel like it makes me sound arrogant. I will admit that it was far more advanced and deadly than most of your corner dojo's (see what I mean it sound kinda arrogant) but I am proud of my right to bare the title of ninja. (that also sounds a bit conceited) Anyway. I do agree it is a good idea to be able to handle any condition but I think I might just be an untrusting paranoid person. How many people do you know that carry a set of kunai knives on them. Lol. All be it I guess it could be argued that they take the place of a pocket knife. Just these are harder to use. Lol. Anyway. I would have to agree. Some of the arts that you have mentioned taking would make a lasting impression on a person that has studied them. And once again I wish we could face one another in an match. I would love to spar someone that has also had a good training. I still say you would give me a run for my money. Well maybe not in kunai, but who uses those in a friendly spar. Lol.

alchemest1Yeah. My master would have dreamed some horrid punishment for being in a fight and a making any offensive attacks. Lol I would have been sore for weeks I bet. Anyway. With the style I took we were (not to sound arrogant but only to speak the truth) deadly by yellow (our third belt). All be it we didn't progress as quickly as most styles. We were well versed in weapons and were taught fatal strikes. Mind you we swore oaths to never use the fatal strikes unless it was the only way to preserve the life of another. We will not even use them to save ourselves. That's what incapacitating strikes are for. Anyway. As strange as it sounds I am always armed with at least three kunai now a day. I must say I do feel sorry for anyone stupid enough to try and jump or hassle me physically. I'm not violent, but I will defend myself.
