Sigh* Well in your case. You seem to be doing what you can for your cousin. I hope he learns the error before he gets himself into real trouble. It's to late for that in my cases. One dead and several in jail. I have to say as harsh as it sounds it is them that solidified my stance on the weakness of humanity. You try to help but they are drawn to self destruction. Anyway. Yeah. My sensie taught feet straight ahead or angled slightly in. You got lucky. Those stances are murder as it is without having to do it that way. Not to mention the normal punishment length was twenty min. Ouch! Just thinking about it is making my knees hurt. Oh. Lol. Never mind. Lol. It was already hurt. Oh yeah. I now have feeling in my leg again. Not a really great thing since that feeling is manifesting itself as pain. Lol. Me and my stupid aversion to medications. Lol. I refuse to take any pain killers. I almost did earlier but ended up throwing them back in the cabinet. Sigh. Why do they bug me so much?

Yeah. Horses stance was used as a punishment in my classes. If you did anything wrong. They would have you get into horses stance and them place a boe on our knees. If it rolled off or moved you got fifty push ups and double your punishment time in horses stance. If it happened again it just kept compounding. Sigh. It was brutal. I always hated it and hoped never to drop the boe. Anyway. I have to say. I've never abandoned anyone without trying to help but there is only so long I can tolerate stupidity. My former friends. I tried to reason with them. Tried to help but for some reason the alcohol and drugs and other forms of stupidity won out. Sigh. I figure you do what you can and once that is done sometimes you just have to move on.

Yeah. The few people that I had been close to post of drifted off into stupidity too. Its not so much they drifted away from me as I did them. I tolerate alot but stupidity and self destruction aren't some of them. Anyway. Yeah. That position might strengthen but it also will destroy your feet after a while. Lol. Man. I used to want to cry after sitting like that for hours on end.

Lol. Yeah. It is a bit annoying when the few people a loner is closer to start to drift away. I had that with a few people before Keiko and I'm sure it will happen again as there is a pretty big age difference between us. Anyway. I didn't realize just how apparently ahh. . . For lack of a better word. . . known I am around my neighborhood I am. I took a limp around my neighborhood today and along the way I received three mothers call their kids inside when they saw me, three teens bow to me, and several adult men stiffen and stop their conversations as I went by. Lol. I guess my reputation as the strange martial artist and weapons user are still alive and well. Lol. Anyway. That position of "torture" got me to wondering why martial artists put themselves in these awkward positions. I guess it could be for conditioning, but some of them just make no sense. Lol. Do you not agree? I know a few are for speed of standing. One of the positions we used to use was meant to allow us to get up without hands and speed.
